It takes a different type of person to work for a towing company.I ran inside to drop a DoorDash order off at an apartment building across the street and they're making me pay $163 to get my car that they towed in less than 5 mins. Mind you, my blinkers were on which clearly means I wasn't gone long. I will add that the guy on the phone was a complete jerk and said because it was my roommates car, i needed a notarized consent at 8:12pm at night. Where am I going to find a notary at this hour sir? Might I add, the junkyard where they tow the cars to is in the most unsafe part of town. I had an unfortunate incident happen on a car that I had previously sold but was never registered by the new owner. It was towed due to it having bad tags through the new owner. The guy driving around windward pointe towing people if they don't have a visitors pass was horrible. I was there for a medical emergency called out by the cops for no more than 10 or 15 minutes and he starting towing. When giving him advice to not approach someone in the future with 76 bucks to drop it now he said I don't need advice. I know he was doing his job but felt privelaged on private property. Predatory company. They sit around the corner and spy on you, if you park in the wrong spot they immediately start hooking up your car. I was technically parked wrong and left my vehicle for literally 5 seconds. NOT minutes, seconds (I can understand if I was there for several minutes.). I ran up and he hadn't even finished hooking it up bc it was only seconds of time. I pleaded that I was just picking up an Uber eats as my job, and there was no where to park, and since it was only 5 seconds and he wasn't even done hooking it up, if I could just move my car away. Terrible experience. Park with many other cars at a closed bank on a Sunday afternoon in downtown St Pete. After leaving restaurant, walk back and car is gone. Found a sign on back side of parking lot , that I didn't see when I parked, stating all cars would be towed. Called the phone number on the sign and went to pick up car. When I arrived, 10 minutes later, the price was different. I asked why they are towing on a Sunday from a closed establishment? To then be called ignorant. Wow! What way to do business. Oddly, many of the same older cars were still in the parking lot that were originally there when I parked. I think my car was singled out since it was new. This company is very rude and disrespectful. I could not get one word out on the phone without Cody cutting me off. I am NOT mad that my car ALMOST got towed. I am upset with the person who tried to tow my car being disrespectful and nasty with his words to me. My bf was angry but I had NOTHING to do with the argument they were having and I came down the stairs asking what all the yelling is for. I came down there calm and respectful. They attempted to tow my car last night that was parked more than 30 ft from the tow away sign. When I ran over to see what they were doing, Cody told me I was in a Tow Zone. I apologized and got in my car to move it. Started car, put in reverse while tow truck was still backing up. Cody, the owner stood right behind my car so I couldn't move it. As I was trying to back up, the town truck continued to back up and put the hook under my car. He raised my car slightly with me in it. They refused to let my car go until I paid a "drop fee" of $76.50 and my wheels were not even off the ground. This guy is a piece of crap. If you look on his facebook page, you will see all the cars he puts up for sale. These are the cars he puts mechanics liens on when owners can't afford his fees. Damaged my car. Ruined the paint my scraping all around the wheel wells. All because I was new to the area and parked in the wrong spot for less then a half hour. On top of that the tow truck driver was extremely hostile and was even talking bad towards me. Most dishonest non professional business I have ever encountered. Parked at Anytime Fitness Downtown St Pete and used Gym... came out after workout and Car was gone. Car had been towed. The parking lot on the side is for Gym Members. Thay have a Tow Truck driver and some Guy sitting there watching the lot. We had to get an Uber to way over to Pinellas Park and pay to get Car out at 11:00 at night. We proved that we were at the Gym and got the Tow money back but was supposed to be reimbursed for the Uber. The Manager Cody was very rude, untrustworthy and lied about issuing a check for the Uber. Have called multiple times and he keeps saying put in the mail. It has been 2 months and was just hung up on today. Better be careful and watch out for this Tow Company that may take your Car when you are parked legally. read more

Cody is a horrible business owner and a disgrace to have him as a local supported business. We here in St Pete try to support all local businesses in the area and this guy is shameless. Parked my car and have been a member at Anytime Fitness for over two years and they decide to tow me during a workout at the gym on central. Again been parking here for years and enjoy training at my local gym. Had to take an Uber to tow truck company to pick up car. Cody said he would reimburse after paying tow and also do the same for the $27 Uber ride way out to Pinellas park from downtown. He reimbursed tow fee the next day but still says he sent a check for the $27 Uber ride in which he never did. But insists to now take it up with the gym again. Total crap and unprofessional. This company is unprofessional and extremely rude to deal with. Car was towed so I called and said I would be there asap to get my car back. Owner called me yelling at me because I wasn't there yet to pick up my car within an hour of me calling them. I explained that since they TOWED MY CAR, I didn't have transportation and had to wait for someone to drive me nearly 30 minutes from where I live. He hung up on me twice, yelled and me and threatened to hold my car hostage if I was not there in 15 minutes and said he would make me wait an hour once I got to his yard. What a jerk! read more

I was parked at 965 Central Ave at 8pm on a Saturday, ran inside to grab food, came back out 2 minutes later and the scum driver was taking things off his truck telling me I had to pay him to put it down or he would tow it away. This company does laps around the Central Ave businesses. Will hook up to your vehicle , claim it is in transit, then make you pay to release your vehicle. Dishonest and absolute Extortion. Driver was a dick, will not even have a conversation, just jumps straight demanding payment or hauling away your vehicle. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!! The driver was EXTREMELY unprofessional and very hostile. We were towed (and accepted that we were in the wrong) my boyfriend went to take some pictures of his vehicle before we left the lot, making note of all the scratches that were around his wheel well & as we were privately talking to me, we heard the driver immediately getting defensive and start making comments that "he didn't scratch his car & and those scratches were there before he towed it.. when it was CLEAR as day, that the scratches were not there before and all the same depth. What a NIGHTMARE of a towing company. Like i said, im not mad we were towed, I fully accept that we were in the wrong, but the fact that they DAMAGED my boyfriends vehicle and the were extremely hostile towards us... I had my car towards by this company last month. Am I one of those people who is mad their car was towed? Absolutely. However, could they have handled things in a way that made me less upset about it? Yes. I did speak with the regulatory board, and they were following proper guidelines. However, there are several things I feel as though they could have done differently. 1. I felt as though the business showed no sense of empathy. If they had calmly addressed the situation, by simply explaining how they are just doing their jobs, I would have been calmer and understanding. However, I felt as though I got attitude through the entire situation, when I am the one who was stressed and out of money I didn't plan on. 2. Taken the shortest route. The route I found on google to be shortest was not the route this company took, and for someone who doesn't have a lot of money, small amounts can make a huge difference. 3. Labeled the parking lot signs to be more easily understood. When I was towed, the parking lot had three different signs. Two listed that they belonged to Schooner Hotel. One just listed that it was a tow away zone (American Tow Force). As the one that just listed tow away zone was labeled differently than the other two and appeared to me to be a separate section, I assumed that this row/entrance belonged to the business I was at (especially since the business I was at was directly across the street from the lot). While the signs followed guidelines, I still found them to be misleading; there's no chance I would ever have parked there if I had known how much it would cost me. In fact, if I even had a clue that I was not parked in the lot that belonged to the business I was at, I would have just asked the business where to park; apparently they had a lot with plenty of parking just behind the one regulated by American Tow Force. read more
