Tony and Tim are master artisans and fine artists. In fact, Tony taught studio art for eight years at Vassar. For them, it's a collaboration; they're proud of their work, and they don't do ugly. They ask that you be thoughtful about your choice, and they'll adjust so that the outcome is something of which you'll both be proud for as long as you inhabit your skin. Their lines are insanely fine, like those in a Rembrandt etching. I can't emphasize enough how absolutely stand out their work is against what you usually see around the Hudson Valley. Also, you'll get good advice to make sure it lasts. In my son's case, they advised against his late summer timeframe: the sweat, discomfort and healing process don't work in longevity's favor, so he did it over Thanksgiving break instead. I have no idea how their price compares to other shops but as the parent who reticently gifted this to her child, I can say that I'm really happy I steered him here.

The needle got stuck as she was visibly struggling...it was excruciating. The placement is still visibly wrong, and I now have to get it corrected at another shop. Three days after I got it pierced, one of the balls fell off and got lost so I also had to purchase new jewelry. Just overall a warning to not get pierced here.

Last week a got the urge to get another tattoo...I was looking at tribal dragons...I found a black…read moredragon that I liked, then I saw another one with a bit more detail, that's the one I chose..now to find the right artist..I have several tattoos already and different artists are good at certain styles, so after looking at numerous artists portfolios in the Hudson Valley, I came upon Dermapunct's Jacqsun Jones, this guy does it all, his portfolio was interesting to say the least. I wrote to him requesting an appointment, he got back to very quickly..I sent him a picture of what I wanted, we agreed on a date and time, I sent in my deposit to secure the appointment. When I arrived at the studio, it was impeccably clean, very nicely decorated and most important Jacqsun has a 100% deposable setup. The tattoo came out incredible! Jacqsun is a stickler for detail. I had a hard time getting my appointment scheduled because of his broken phone. He told me later to message him through the website. There was no confirmation of my session until the evening before and even then it wasn't until the first session that we really talked through the piece, which took a long time. Everything ended up turning out fine though. I joked with him that he needs a secretary but he prefers to be a one man show.
