To start, American Windows Plus is responsive and speedy when it comes to new clients. They were great to work with when I first had my windows installed 2 years ago. It's rare to see a 5 star business receive a low rating review like this, but unfortunately I had an incredibly disappointing experience, which I feel compelled to share with other homeowners to prevent anyone else from falling victim to their unprofessional behavior and lack of accountability. One of our large casement windows was factory damaged and no one noticed till it started to fog up over the past year. I requested a replacement as it was well within the 20 year warranty period. They asked for picture proof and I provided. I had to keep following up for 2 months because they couldn't provide a timeline for installation. When we finally aligned on a date they notified me within 1 hour of the appointment that they can't come because they had a situation. It's okay, things come up but you're suppose to provide a solution with next steps and not keep your clients waiting for an answer. What's truly disappointing is how Ken handled the situation. No one came to supervise the installation so that is a mistake on their part. Instead of acknowledging their workers' errors, they pointed fingers at me, accusing me of tampering with the frame & caulk. Mind you, none of my windows have caulk between the glass and frame. I'm so confused where that came from. I had photographic proof of the window's condition before and after installation, as well as security camera footage of their technicians using boxcutter and hammer to remove the frame (which I assume is what caused the damage). As a homeowner who had placed trust in American Windows Plus expertise, I was shocked by their lack of integrity and commitment to quality workmanship. A company that truly values its customers would have promptly addressed the issue, taken accountability for their errors, and worked towards a solution. Instead, they chose to evade responsibility and, quite frankly, tarnished their own reputation. Now, I have to live with the unsightly scars of their negligence - visible scratches and awkward caulk on the exterior window frame. Despite providing all the evidence necessary to prove their mistakes, Ken continued to deny their wrongdoing and refused to provide any solution or replacement. I share my experience here not only to vent my frustration but also to warn potential customers about the unethical practices of American Windows Plus. I believe it's essential for homeowners to make informed decisions when choosing service providers for their homes. It's clear that they prioritize their own interests over customer satisfaction and quality service. read more

We had the best experience with American Windows Plus to replace our basement windows. Evelyn and Peter came out for an estimate, measured, and gave a quote on the spot - thousands less and a delivery/installation time months before others. Evelyn is a great communicator from start to finish. The windows were installed exactly when promised and professionally. Other reviewers have commented on how efficient the guys work to remove and install the windows and I cannot agree more! They fast, clean, and respectful. They vacuum and take all the garbage away with them. We decided to go with Crystal windows. I cannot speak to the quality compared to Marvin, etc...but for basement windows we didn't need premium. So far, they are working perfectly with no draft or other issues. read more

The company was fast in giving appt time , but do not keep scheduled appointments and don't call back to let you know they won't make it , so you wait and wait then realize that they are not coming nor calling with explanation . If they can't keep a schedule appointment , how can you trust them with your projects ? Sometimes it's best they show there true colors upfront than after you put down a deposit ! I worked with Peter to replace a sliding glass patio door and 8 windows in my home. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. From the conversation, I could sense his expertise in the field regarding the type of window frames he would recommend, the differences in the different types of glass they use for the windows in terms of insulation and energy efficiency. Peter was very accommodating considering our unique situation and gave me mindful recommendations well suited for the house. The price was very fair and Peter was not pushy at all for me to go with the more expensive options. He treated the project as if it was for his own house! They cleaned up as they took down the old windows and put up the new ones, and cleaned the windows thoroughly after installations were completed. The installation was very smooth and fast too. Their specialist, Ernest, with 20+ years of experience made quick work of the installation. Seeing the way he does his caulking, you know right away he knows what he's doing even with his eyes closed! Today, 5/13/2022, American Window Plus, has sent two workers to install the new windows we have ordered. These two workers came around 8 am as promised. They started working right way. I have never seen workers work this efficient. They know very well how to take out old windows, put on new windows. They know everything and they are efficient. Now all of my friends say my new windows look stunning after I have texted them the photos. I also wanted to say Thank You to Evelyn Chen and Peter Liu of American Window plus. Couple month ago, they came to my house at my request. They walked thru my house and told me which window needs replacement. They have measured the size and gave me the price on spot. Wonderful business to deal with. From beginning to end they were honest, answered all questions in a timely manner and the installer was unbelievable! He went above and beyond, way way above and beyond to install our new windows ( only 4 windows that were broken or had mechanisms that were broken. And we needed them to match the rest of the windows ,which they did !). As the installer was finishing up we asked his opinion about some trim that was around our garage doors. This had nothing at all to do with the windows that were being installed .The trim by our garage was loose and coming apart and was very similar to the trim used below our living room window. He gave us his opinion and then proceeded to fix it for us without even asking! He did a perfect job and sealed it back up for us, no questions asked and was just a good deed on his part! Of course we rewarded him appropriately. But all of that aside, he could not have been any neater, more polite or more accommodating in anything he did for us that day.
