I would definitely give more stars if I could. We were more than pleased with American Wood Reface from start to finish. Our twenty year old kitchen was way over due for a face lift but since we knew we would most likely need to make a move in the near future we didn't want to break the bank on the kitchen. From our first appointment with Jim F. we were pretty sure American Wood Reface would be out choice over the other two companies we had met with. After going over what happens with refacing our cabinets and all the extra additions that AWR do for you we were more than ready to get started. We were so excited that we would have solid wood cabinets and all drawers replaced with solid wood & remember it is American wood. We also replaced our counter tops with quartz and we are blown away with the finished product . Every crew that entered our home to work on our project except for the supervisor Jim G. was under thirty years of age...What a pleasant experience to see such young men that are so talented and professional and take such pride in their work, they made sure every aspect of the job was more than satisfactory, when our project was finished we hated to see them go. If you are thinking of replacing or refacing you really need to give American Wood Refacing a call. I must add also that the cabinets are made by The Amish and the quality of the work and material are far superior to any we have ever had in any of the homes we have owned. American Wood Reface completely transformed our kitchen into a thing of beauty while saving us thousands of dollars, time, and mess by not having to completely tear out our current cabinets which were perfectly serviceable on the inside. Tim, our consultant, met with us in our home, giving us the great advantage of seeing samples under the actual light inside our kitchen, rather than trying to pick out something in a showroom. He had great ideas for upgrades that weren't on our radar, but were definite pluses, and knowing that we weren't planning on being in our house forever, he gave us ideas on where to cut expenses. This helped us work within our budget and spend the money on the things most important to us. Installers Carlos and Mike were professional, friendly, and extremely fastidious and clean. It was obvious that they were knowledgeable, and we felt like we were in good hands. The solid wood doors are beautiful, sturdy, and fantastic quality, and the overlay for the facing of the cabinets is thicker than any of the competitors. Add to that the silent drawer and cabinet closing hinges, as well as crown molding and light rail, and it's the whole package. Our installation was a year ago, and we couldn't be happier with both their product and their installation. What an amazing process! The logistics behind replacing uppers, completely transforming the lowers, having the counter tops replaced the week before the cabinet job.......you would think there would have been issues....Nope, not 1 issue. Every time estimate, every appointment, every communication.....not a single error. But the best part was the install crew. They started out very quiet, professional and uptigh, very quickly they found that that just doesn't work around this house! Be your self, show your sense of humor, play your music and enjoy the atmosphere here. The whole crew immediately fit in perfectly! My 19 year old son actually hung around for the project because he enjoyed the music and banter! What a great time! Really, who enjoys the center, the life line of their home in shambles.....no one does but it was a very quick 3 days and we truly didnt miss our kitchen and looked forward to their arrival on the next day! read more

My experience with this entire company has been superb! We met Tim at a Home Show in Greensboro, N.C. and he came to the house to measure and give an estimate. We didn't need his services for another year and he held on to the paperwork until we were ready. Then Jim met us and did the contract, final measurements, etc. It took three months for Carlos to begin the work but they completely refaced the whole kitchen in two days. They set up their equipment on the deck, covered my new floors, and cleaned everything up spotlessly before leaving. They were ultimate professionals and I would highly recommend them to anyone. As far as I'm concerned, American Wood Reface is THE place for cabinet makeovers. We had a bunch of cabinets in our kitchen and, while they were good quality, they were 25+ years old and showing their age. AWR came in and put beautiful hickory facing on all the cabinet surfaces along with solid doors, drawer pulls, and moulding. The guys doing the installation, which took two days (albeit LONG days) were meticulous and really nice people. We're getting set to build a new house and we're going to have AWR do the kitchen cabinets and counter tops. read more

These guys are terrific. I had a small galley kitchen that needed to be remodeled and all the cabinets refaced. It looks brand new and custom designed for the space. There was a lot of design work involved in this - a lot! And Bruce did it all - Jim, the foreman did a great job of measuring and being sure everything was installed perfectly. They were professional, and offered great advice like crown molding and a pot cabinet, without over selling. A great selection and quality products, Amish craftsmanship.
