Customer service and knowledge is incredible like over reviewers have said. Prices are competitive or better. No "Up Sells" or "Bait and Switch" I have looked at Amazon for similar supplies, and found that a) the items sold here are higher quality, and b) you can actually have a hands on look at the item and not wait for delivery. Parking lot is small for the number of stores in the strip. They helped up try on a bunch of neck braces to ensure proper fit. They also had wedge pillows. The owner of American Medical Supply was very nice to me when I bought the wrong size wheelchair ramps for my patient. I was able to exchange them for some items that her really needed, such as a shower chair, etc. It pays to go to smaller businesses like this because you won't waste the gas going to Walmart, as they will not have the inventory they say they do. I won't mention the other Ventura County medical supply stores I've been to or shopped at, so let's just say that Tari and Nima now have me as their loyal Client. Their knowledge coupled with customer service made me ecstatic! I care for my elderly Mom and Tari demonstrated to me why the wheelchair we chose together was best suited for Mom. At one other Ventura County medical supply store, it was obvious the "salesperson" was steering me towards a higher end model and wouldn't relent. No shop carries everything you'll need or want, so you can expect that store to order whatever you'll need. I left with pretty much everything I needed, except for one item. It was ordered and received within a couple days. Piece of cake. Their location's good; I've been there three times this past week at different times and never had an issue with parking. Their prices are competitive. And so, what sets them apart? For me, it's that small-town customer service feel that Tari and Nima have that I miss sooo much. Having traveled extensively, I've always yearned for that feeling from when I was growing up in the 60s and 70s; when people spent time with you to make sure you got what you needed or wanted. A small store but has almost every medical supplies you look for in every sizes. I was looking for a post op shoe for my injured foot. I called so many medical supply stores in the area. A few stores carry them but no one had my size and was taking almost a week to order. Luckily, I found this store on web, went there, and got exactly what I needed. The guy who answer the phone was very helpful and made sure he had what I needed before I made trip there (I made numerous trips to stores after phone calls-didnt have my size.). The lady who helped me when I got there was very knowledgeable, professional, and patient. Lastly, their price was the best. I got the boot for $69.99.
