We were having an incredibly hard time finding a pharmacy that could order a newer medication for my daughter. Initially CVS told us they could order it no problem, but once the doctor actually sent the prescription over, they basically sat on it for weeks before eventually telling us they couldn't get it after all. Super frustrating considering this was medication my daughter actually needed and we kept getting the runaround. I called what felt like every pharmacy in existence and most of them pretty much immediately said they couldn't help. A friend recommended Home Health Pharmacy to me, so I went in the same day to explain the situation. I spoke with the pharmacist Jason, and honestly the difference in care was immediately noticeable. He told me he could transfer the prescription from CVS, order the medication, and have it ready the very next day. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely put my mind at ease after a really stressful experience. What's even crazier is CVS told us the medication would cost around $600 a month. Home Health Pharmacy was able to get it down to $445, so we'll be saving about $155 every month on this medication. The medication ended up being ready the next day exactly as promised -- actually earlier than I expected. They also offer delivery, which is amazing. Having worked in a pharmacy myself for 7 years, I really appreciated the level of care here. It reminded me of how pharmacies used to feel before everything became giant corporations where you're just another number in the system. Great service, good people. If going through withdrawal or anything, you need to use this as your pharmacy to get what you need. This pharmacy has been filling my prescription for months with no issue. My physician sent a prescription in and two days later I called about it and they said they are refusing to fill it because my doctor is in another county. I said you've been filling it for months and they tried to blame the DEA. Nothing has changed within the DEA in the last month. No one contacted me to tell me my prescription would not be filled. They could've at least picked up the phone. Lazy and uncaring. The person I spoke to was rude and condescending. Avoid this Pharmacy. read more

Spoke to a girl named Laura about my mothers prescription. She was one of the rudest people I have ever come across. She was extremely un-helpful, short and irritable; when I asked her to do a simple refill it was like I was asking her to move mountains. I find it offensive that someone who is that un-well and unprofessional is in that position. There are many elderly clients who require a lot of patience and guidance when they call their pharmacy, my mother included, and I would be horrified to see how she is with them. This woman should absolutely not work there. I will make it a point that every review possible is posted online about her and her behavior. This is something your company needs to handle. read more

I've been going to this place for 5 years. Over that time, i've picked up a lot of prescriptions. I have prescriptions from my psychiatrist, prescriptions from my dermatologist, prescriptions from my general practitioner, etc. I'm not being hyperbolic when I say it's never taken me more than 5 minutes to get my prescription. Let me be even more clear so you know what i'm saying when I say that: I come in with my prescription on paper. I maybe wait to be helped for 60 seconds depending on how busy they are. I hand them my prescription. I wait for a few minutes. They come to the register with my filled prescription. I pay and then I leave with my filled prescription. I could literally drop off and pick up my medication quicker than just making one phone call to CVS. It's probably taken me longer to get gas than it has to both drop off and pick up my medication sometimes. It's insane. If all of that isn't already too good to be true they also have some of the kindest staff i've ever encountered. AND they always will let me know any ways they can make what I pay the most affordable. If there's a way to cut down the cost on a medication I pick up they will ALWAYS tell me about it. Home Care Pharmacy is the absolute best pharmacy. They have the most helpful and kind pharmacists and pharmacy techs. They are the complete opposite of what you get at a typical Walgreens/ Walmart type pharmacy. They are respectful, polite, knowledgeable, patient, efficient and will make you feel like they are genuinely happy to help you. I've had some negative experiences at chain pharmacies and I used to think that's just the way it is at Pharmacies. Once I came to HomeCare, I realized there are pharmacies that still take pride in what they do and how they treat each and every patient. I've had multiple employees help me when situations arise with insurance or my doctor or the brand of my generics and every time HomeCare solves it for me almost immediately and makes sure I am taken care of. Once a year at enrollment time for Medicare Part D, they will run a report if requested showing insurance options, and the best pricing and coverage for the drugs a person is taking.
