THE WORST PAIR OF GLASSES I'VE EVER PURCHASED. Don't. Just don't. I got a free eye exam, and while I waited, I shopped the frames. They were cheap, I get it. And once I had my prescription, I was nickel and dimed for every possibility, including the width of my prescription. Needless to say, I can't see out of one eye and on my first day with these glasses, I have a raging headache. Don't. Just don't. There are so many better places to get a pair of glasses. I had been going for over 5 years. We had insurance w eyemed, my lenses were purchased in July 2020 but had lenses s remade in October because I couldn't see with the prescription and was wearing my contacts. Ar coating qas coming off and asked to replace lenses under Warranty. They said Warranty expired in July! It goes by ourchase date not date lenses were remade. My family will not be coming bere again, custo.er service qas even more horrible to deal with. I am giving 1 star! I called in last Thursday to schedule my son an eye appointment. My son appointment was for Today! When we arrive I was asked what insurance plan that my son has. Which he has Medicaid and I was told they do Not accept Medicaid however this should've been asked when I first called! I took off and used my pto to make this appointment and I called in advance! I chose this place even though is like 30 minutes away from where I live. but the first time I was greeted very well over the phone and in person. I was very happy with my glasses. but this secon time a month or so ago everything just went down hill. I had special prescription requested. and today was the second time I had to return my glasses because they were not done right. So impressed with the following: 1. I checked in very quickly and the doctor saw me almost 20 minutes before my appointment because I was early 2. The appt itself was so quick. Sometimes I'm in there for an hour and it's not necessary at all. They are very quick and get the job done. 3. The selection of glasses was great and I paid a great price for 2 pairs with non reflective lenses and the upgraded lenses. Will be going back on a yearly basis for sure. First off, I would have given no stars if it allowed me. We visited this location in 2021 and received GREAT customer service and had a wonderful experience. We went back May 1 of this year and it was a complete different experience. My wife who is legally blind was nearly assaulted in this store. Nobody did anything to the lady. She was allowed to stay. (Must be desperate for business). I was told that my glasses would arrive in 10 business days. Well out of anxiety I called to check on them today and was told they would arrive on before the 17th. I called back a while later to see why it would take longer then quoted and I was given a different date of the 16th which still wasn't within the 10 business days. I spoke to the manager and he basically said they had just taken over this store and they are having to retrain everybody because they weren't trained properly. My opinion is it was better before and now it is changed. Is the new management the problem? Shop this location with caution. You have been warned. read more

Worst experience I've ever had at an eye doctor. I went in to get a contact prescription. I wasn't planning on buying my contacts there so instead I bought glasses. They did the exam and tried to sell me contacts. When I declined they refused to release my prescription to me. So now I've been wearing a trial pair of contact lenses for three months while arguing with their non professional staff over my prescription. Do not recommend. Will never go back. read more

Went in September to get glasses as advertised for 89.00. Like most eye glasses place it false advertising. You walk out paying 5 bills for a pair of glasses. So I go to eye trends several months later and get glasses. Once I got my new glasses I find my old script was better than the new one. So I go back in ask them to re evaluate the test. The guy tells me he wrote it wrong. So I go to check out and Brenda the associate I was dealing with said that because it was more than 30 days so it was my fault. That not good business. Don't waste your time. Overall experience not good. Went to pick up glasses and they were just handed to me with no opportunity to have them fitted. Nose pad broke off after 2 months and lenses were scratched. Went in and they replaced the nose pad with a better nose pad and a week later the other one broke off. They did order me another pair of glasses and when I went to pick them up again was not offered to have them fitted. I asked for my prescription so that I could go somewhere else and buy a decent pair of glasses and was told that I would have to have a doctor give that to me.I asked why I never received my prescription back after ordering my glasses there and they did not have an answer. Lesson learned.... if you get a prescription from a doctor do not give it to the person ordering your glasses or make sure you get it back from them. I would not recommend buying your glasses at America's Best because they are cheap and do not hold up.I have a pair of glasses that I've had to wear during all this that are two years old and they're in better shape than the ones I've had for 2 months. I'll have to wait another year to get a prescription through my benefits and rest assured it will not be at America's Best. If you're a person that learns from other people's mistakes please heed this review as a warning... I've had people tell me they've had a better experience at Walmart... Enough said read more

So far so good. I went last week for an eye exam for new glasses, I had made an appointment and everything was on time. I really liked the Dr I saw, he took his time and explained and answered questions I had. I felt the exam and pre-exam was very thorough and professional. I really appreciated the time Janie took with me when selecting frames for glasses and sunglasses, it's not an easy feat with so many frames to choose from. My daughter and I both had great experiences here. When my wife needed a new pair of glasses she decided to go because of this. It was busy that day and the staff was friendly, except for one. A series of simple questions, was met with a series of simple snarky answers. Every interaction she had seemed to involve this staff member. After 2 weeks of calling her glasses were finally received and when she came came to pick them up....she was met again with the same staff member who again made the experience awful. WOW! Was I blind...lol I had a wonderful experience with America's Best. I made my appointment online and they sent me a confirmation text. I saw Dr. Liang Ma and he was awesome. Explained everything really well and was helpful. I arrived to my appointment 10 mins early like they ask you to do. Also, note they sent me an email with my appt info and letting me know the appt would take up to 90 minutes. There's 5 parts in your appt. 1) Eye exam with the tech 2) Seen by Dr 3) Fitted for contacts. The tech was so patience and helpful. This is my first time wearing contacts 4) See the dr again to make sure the contacts fit well 5) Staff associate Yuliana help me pick out my frames and placed my order. Everyone there had great attitudes and customer service skills. Be patience with the staff. The doctor told me they see 40 patients a day. I knew ahead a time I would be there for a while. You can't beat their prices. I walked out of there with Basic eye exam, FDT and Retinal Imaging, 3 year club exam, fitting for contacts, 2 pairs of glasses, and a pair of contacts for only $175.65! I went to pick up my contract trials last week and was told that I had to wait for the doctor to approve it... a few days before I had recieved a call that they were ready for pickup. What is there to verify? I waited about 15 minutes and asked how much longer it would be. America's Best was recommended to me by a customer of mine about a year ago. He raved about how great the service was, and you can get two glasses for a very low cost. I decided to finally make an appointment for my wife and I. First the exam wasn't thorough, the person who did the exam tried to up sell. There were no proper fittings of the frame. When my glasses arrived a week later they were too large. Their frames selections were basically the same style with minute variations. My wife finally received hers. They were also too large. The young associate proceeded to bend the frame. As the old saying goes you get what you pay for. To add the sales associate had no clue what they were doing. Opticians generally supply a lens cleaner with the glasses purchased this facility sells it for $2.00. The place is the McDonald's of the eye wear industry. I won't be going back or will I recommend their service. read more

I was pretty shocked with my experience here. I was looking for a new eye doctor, and decided that I would try America's Best out. Everything was going fine, until I got in the room with the doctor. Her first question was if I wanted to try a new prescription, or if I was happy with what I had. Like, what? Isn't that why I'm here, to check all of that stuff out? I explained to her everything that was going on, and she decided that I was going to use a certain type of contacts(more on that later). She finished pretty quickly, I was obviously just a number to her, not someone she should give much care or attention to. Well she finished, and I went and waited up front like instructed. After about 15 minutes of walking around, while the staff was standing around, they called me to the desk. The man was confused on everything he was doing. He told me the prices for the contacts the doctor wanted me to use, and I told him they were far too expensive, and wanted prices on other types. He said no, the doctor only wrote the prescription for these. I asked if she was really restricting me, and he said yes. Well after going back and forth with me, he got irritated and went and got the doctor. While he was gone, my mother and I got to witness the manager not only talk down to a customer who had an issue, but then get on the phone and YELL at the client on the phone!! The man came back, with the doctor, and let me tell you. She only got even more rude. Arguing with me, and finally my mother, who is a very quiet woman, spoke up, and the doctor talked to her like she was a peasant. Oh man I was fired up. She finally told me she'd order a trial pair of the contacts I actually wanted, but it'd take a week. I just went with whatever, I'd given up all hope on them. The man sat down to check us out, and of course he couldn't do that either, so that same manager sat down to do it. We felt like we were hit with a brick wall of cigarette smoke, not real professional. About a week after the visit, they called to confirm my follow up appointment for the next day, which surprised me, because I had never made, nor talked about, making an appointment. I asked the lady if my trial contacts had come in and she said no, so not sure why they wanted me to come in. Finally a few days later, they called saying that the contacts were in, so I made an appointment. I didn't want to, but I had no choice. I went into the appointment, and the place was insane, the staff obviously couldn't handle having customers. The doctor called me in, looked at the new contacts and tried talking me into the ones she wanted. I just blankly said no, and she wrote the prescription for the new ones. I watched her do it. So she told me to wait outside, and finally about 10 minutes later, someone called me up, handed me the prescription, and said I was done. Was I inconveniencing the doctor so much, she couldn't hand me the paper right there, and not waste my time? I understand now why they offer the extra three years of exams for only $20, they have to be extremely cheap to get any returning customers. Don't do it people. I wish i could give zero stars but ill give one due to the nice doctor ill give it a 1 star rating. The front desk staff is absolutely dreadful no training and are basically zombies upon entering the store. Ive never seen customer service taken as unprofessional as they did me while i was there for my visit. It takes 7-10 days to get your glasses we arrived on time for appointment saw the doctor and picked out glasses gave the receptionist my CC to run i guess it was her lunch break fat azz, because she never ran the card something i didn't find out until 10 days later.... smh They told my and my family to come back in 10 days to pick up my prescription. I mention this detail because i have multiple witness to attest to my story. Anyways,I called up to the office to ask if my glasses were ready and for some odd reason they couldn't find me in the system. I came back to get my glasses (at the store) they weren't paid for and no one thought to call my cell phone or back up number i provided. So today the took my CC again ran it in which i requested 2 receipts this time for my records and selected 2 new glasses. 7-10 more days to wait I WILL NEVER COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. At America's Best, my experience as a patient could not have been better. They explained to me the advantages of the eye health exams they offer, and I'm glad they did. I learned that my previous prescription was incorrect for years due to my never receiving a thorough enough exam(get dilated! it's way more affordable here than anywhere else). I've had headaches for years and now that I'm not straining my eyes, the headaches are gone! The prices were great, I joined their club(incredible deal, check in to it). You will encounter a caring doctor, Dr. Tai is awesome, and friendly staff that want you see the best you can, be healthy and look great. They offer prescription sunglasses too. This place is the worst! 2 pr for $65? Try over 200 for 1 pair of glasses that I cannot see correctly with! No one seemed to care about me from the tecs to the "doctor" that saw me. Dr. spent less than 5 minutes with me; laughed when he said I could not see out of 1 eye then wrote a prescription and sent me to the woman who talked me into 2 pair of glasses.
