Let's see... This motel is great for the price we paid. We spent 3 nights here. The beds were comfortable memory foam and we had more pillows than we needed. The room is very clean and no carpet. The grounds outside were clean and the landscaping was beautiful. I love me some flowers. The check in was quick and painless. The pool area and pool and hot tub were clean. BUT the hot tub was NOT hot! It was as cold as the pool. You have to have a code to go to the bathroom beside the pool so make sure you ask the front desk for the code. The wallpaper on one wall in our room was peeling off. The pool was fun even tho is was a little cold. It's still May so I didn't expect it to be too warm lol The breakfast - if you like cold cereal and milk, bread or toast, a yogurt or banana, or a small danish. Then you'll love the breakfast. No decaf coffee. There is a Peter right next door that has a great restaurant. Limited menu but good food and friendly service. Walmart is about 10 minutes away and other places to eat and shop. I didn't have a good experience here. I was traveling through the area and was looking up hotels to book. When I came across this one, mainly for the price I called them to ask about their property. The young man with an accent that answered the phone was extremely rude and short with me. I was expecting someone who would inform me of the amenities they offer and so on. What I got was someone who said what do you want and cut me off. I was upset but booked the room anyway. When we got there to check in, there was an older man with an accent at the counter and I saw young man behind the counter sitting on a couch in the back. I assume the young man was the older mans son but I am not sure. The older man was kind enough and checked us into our room. I had no problems with the room, other than it was very close to the freeway. I was expecting a lot of noise at night but was pleasantly surprised to find that I could not hear the cars passing by us during the night. I went swimming the night I checked in before the sun went down. I was not a fan of the pool even though I do appreciate them having that as an amenity. I was not a fan of the pool because once we entered the pool area, it looked like there was a bunch of dirt on the bottom of the pool. Once getting in I discovered that it was not dirt but it was the actual bottom of the pool chipping away, it was very rough for my feet. Something else I discovered after checking in is that there is an RV park directly behind the hotel, sharing access with the pool. We had to walk near the RV park to enter the pool and I did not feel the safest. This is a bad hotel! All room furniture was dented and scratched up. This hotel was extremely noisy due to truckstop behind us and interstate in front of us. The pool was badly stained with many floating bugs and the nearby hot tub has been empty over a year according their maintenance man. The free breakfast was worse ever with no eggs or fruit or meat! Let's start with the good, hotel was cozy and clean. The bad: The jacuzzi was empty, the guy in the front desk had a bad attitude. Our company books hotels through CLC Lodging, we got a confirmation number and everything via email. My co worker and I approached the man at the front desk, with identification in hand like every other hotel I stay at and told him our company had made us a reservation. The man didn't even bother looking at the computer or anything. He didn't bother asking for reference number/confirmation number, the man didn't ask for booking agency or company name. Smelt like strong body odor when walking in, had to pee and the toilet would not flush, completely unusable. Washed hands and all of the towels had stains. The interior was from the 80's?, stained carpet. Don't let hardwood floor photos fool you, only have a few rooms updated. Absolutely disgusting and did not feel safe next to all those truckers on who knows what, doing who knows what in those rooms. I left immediately. Just gross. read more

I have never stay at Americas Best Value Inn before but I have to admit it was a great stay and I am so glad I picked this hotel through Expedia. My friend and I were planning to go to Crater Lake. Our friend mentioned to us to stay at Medford which is only 1.5 hrs away from the lake and its cheaper to stay around that area. so we did. after browsing around Expedia, I have decided to give this place a try and the price was reasonable. so why not. So glad we did. Customer Service: It was excellent. We just had a long drive coming from San Francisco and after all the traffic we finally made up here around 3:30am on Saturday morning. When we got here, the doors were closed, we freaked out a little bit. We decided to give them a call, turned out he was just in the back office. I think he's the manager, he was so kind and patient with us. He even informed that our room was recently remodeled. Yay! There was a sign to ask for room service. We figured, we are fine, we are only staying here for one more night, we don't really need much. we are not messy girls, so we sort of clean up after ourselves. when we came back to our room. OMG they fixed our beds, replaced all of towels, and took the trash out. OMG we were shocked and happy at the same time. It was just very nice that they did it even though we didn't ask for it. Atmosphere: Very clean and comfortable. Our room was hard wood floor, beds were foam mattresses, pillows were perfect firmness. OH man! I can stay in bed ALL day. HAHAHA. it has a fridge and microwave, which was great since we have left over food from dinner. Bathroom was clean. it was a very comfortable stay and I totally meet my expectation. Had their complimentary breakfast, it was basic. toaster for breads, eggo waffle, and english muffins. coffee, hot water for tea, cereals, juice, yogurt, milk, and danish bread. just basic breakfast. can't complaint if they are free. We booked here as our stopping point moving from WA to CA. The woman at the front desk went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and make sure we were comfortable. We were traveling with a 26ft Uhaul plus utility trailer. She moved her car so that we could have the long parking spot on the side of the building and be able to keep watch over our stuff. She was so gracious and provided excellent customer service! I highly recommend staying here if you are traveling I-5 and need a quick, comfortable, and clean place to rest for the night. read more

Ok, I was trying to be nice and just let things roll since this is a little older Inn. I am here on business with some flex hours. I walked in the 1st day to Pizza (1/3 eaten) and half of a 2 liter of Pepsi. The woman at the front desk was awesome! She apologized and retrieved the items from the room. The rooms have been updated with wood laminate flooring and for the most part it is outfitted as a normal room should be. Bed was pretty comfortable and the AC appeared to work well! Smaller microwave, fridge and flat screen with limited local viewing and some cable channels. I used the bathroom and the toilet isn't bolted down all of the way. Still works and doesn't appear to leak, so I'll let them know on my way out. Went to jump into the shower and it took forever (probably 5 to 10 minutes) for the water to warm up, but I had 10 minutes to enjoy the shower before the cold returned. I figured maybe night time Showers are best... Nope, same issue! Breakfast... Go find another place to eat. My only experience was my 1st morning after I slept the night and they had cereal, yogurt and and pastries. I did see a pop machine in a hall that was empty of water and one other soft drink but they do have juice in a fountain. The pool is a nice size and with it being outdoor, it does have a little more dirt than an indoor. I get it! The hot tub is also outside and although it needed a little more water, it was nice to soak in after a long day. The lighting around the building needs help! Ballasts are dying in a few, so the lighting outside the windows at night strobe! The back side of the Inn shares space with an RV park. I don't know what the story is with the park, but I did find someone roaming the parking lot at 3am. When I asked what he was doing, he smiled and walked away. I'm sure he is harmless, just an FYI to make sure your cars are locked and valuables are with you! I believe that the pool, spa and laundry services are shared with the RV Park. This last one is my final straw. Again, I work weird hours and when I hang a "DO NOT DISTURB!" sign on the door, I would expect to not be disturbed. This sign means nothing to them! Twice they walked in and cleaned the room (made the bed, new towels). I am not a messy person and in fact I usually take my garbage with me to the dumpster. Both times, I happen to be up and away from my room, but honestly it is beside the point. read more

Quick relevant background: We booked our rooms here through Hotels.com. We used our points to get the rooms for free. The first issue was the hotel didn't show our rooms as complimentary. The woman who helped us was one of the owners and despite being very nice she turned us away and asked us to come back later when her husband would be in. When we returned, a young male attendant appeared to be playing video games in the office. Again, he was very nice, but one of the room keys didn't work so we had to return to get a new one programmed. Once in the room, details emerged that gave us pause. The bathroom had 2 different types of shampoo, but no soap, conditioner or body wash. The vanity mirror was dated, and despite having 16 light sockets, only 9 bulbs were present and of those, only 2 worked. It was comically bad. See the photo. They receive 2 stars because the service was personable, friendly and on the whole courteous. They loose 3 for facilities, booking and location issues. read more

Wow, the website for this location has the wrong address! The main site for America's Best Inn has the correct one. How strange... Anyway. We were traveling in Oregon and were just finishing dinner in Medford when we realized we should probably find a room to book. So I downloaded the Priceline iPhone app and started browsing some near-by options that had deals. (We were tired.) This one somehow caught my eye and apparently had mostly positive notes from previous guests. First impressions: Motel-like. A bit loud. Kind of cold indoors. View was a parking lot and possibly a gas station or something of the like. We were glad to end up with a suite instead of just one room and I was amused to have 2 TV options because neither of us have TVs at home anymore. The advertised "jacuzzi tub" was quite tiny. I'm about 5'6" and didn't feel all that comfortable or cozy in it. The bed was facing the wrong direction so I turned the pillows around so I would be sleeping the "right" direction that felt "good" for sleeping. The huge mirror wall next to the bed was kind of creepy. All in all it was simple and good enough as a place to crash after a long day of driving. Enjoyed watching some comedy in the "living room" (flat screen is better than the older TV in the bedroom!) before passing out and the continental breakfast was what I generally expect from a motel. The OJ was kind of gross, apple juice was tasty, the bananas were good, the english muffins and butter were okay, and the sweet breads were best skipped. It was alright... but I'm pretty sure that I'll be skipping any opportunities to book a room in an America's Best Inn in the future because I think there are cheaper options that are just as good and just slightly more expensive options that are much better. read more

Honestly the place was lovely and rooms were fine (except that water temperature issue..) My 2 star rating is because of the room swap snafu that no one seemed to think was a concern, and later denied even happened. At 1:30am we opened room 105 with the programmed key card, per the "105" written on our printed receipt. We were greeted in the dark by a very startled man's "HEY!!" We apologized and raced back to the office. The guy managing the place for the evening shift could barely make eye contact and refused to apologize, accept responsibility, or even accept what we were telling him. He just stayed silent and stared at the computer as we explained how dangerous it is to give people keys to occupied rooms, and demanded to know what happened. Totally ignored every thing we said. As we were standing there, the angry man in 105 called and the manager took the call in front of us. He again, avoided responsibility and muttered things like, "I don't know why she did that" (referring to me walking in on them, like I just programmed my own key card myself?) We could hear everything the man was yelling on the other end. He finally got us a new room and key card, and my husband asked, "Are you sure no one's in this room?" And the manager shrugged and said, "Hope not." Fast forward to this morning when my husband went back to the office to complain and demand some sort of acknowledgment of the situation. The lovely evening manager was still there, unfortunately. He proceeded to lie and say the guy in 105 never called and we're mistaken. He then said he could give us $15 off our $90 room, because the mattress we slept on was $1400. ?? I know, I'm just as confused as you are. In conclusion, this place is fine if you're in a pinch, just be sure to triple check that no one will be occupying your room when you're assigned one. Also if you're on the receiving end, lock up all your valuables and keep a knife nearby...just in case someone gives a stranger access to your room at 1am. Good night and good luck! read more

This place is a hidden gem...... my husband and I travel from so cal to washing every few months to see our kids. We usually stop a little more than halfway to rest for the night. This place is perfect! The rooms are very clean, the bed is the best and most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. The satellite tv is awesome and the WiFi works great. The water pressure in the shower is amazing. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. This will be our new stop to and from Washington. You get more than what you pay for here! We were on our way through from Portland to the Bay Area. We had already gone through a big fuss with Econo Lodge that took forever to get resolved. Most of it stemming from the fact that booking.com has a habit of overbooking rooms from these smaller motels/inns. So you can't know for sure if the room is available if you are booking it the day of. Econo Lodge told us to book through our chosen site because "they often have rooms or prices that we can't give you at the front desk." Then they immediately told me the room was not available, causing an hour of arguing and canceling via support 800 numbers. Just a lot of incompetence and wasted time. ANYWAY, we called Red Carpet Inn in Medford who told us they did have a king room for a good deal. We then show up 2 min later to find out that he just realized they did not have anything. We were very confused and frustrated again. However, he offered to call up their sister business (America's Best Inn and Suites), a nicer hotel that was an exit closer to Ashland, where we wanted to be anyway. I asked if the price would be the same and he offered to see what he could do. He asked his friend at the other place if they could come down from their rate (~$88-$95) to his (~$60) and they said yes! We drove one exit south, got there, checked in, and had a great comfy stay that we couldn't have gotten without his help. Bed was big and nice. TV worked well. Breakfast was good for a free one. Stuff was fresh and was being restocked throughout. Fresh fruit was nice too. They offer discount to a number of restaurants nearby, which we wished we had time to use. It was a great last night to our 10 day trip! read more

We stayed here 8 days and enjoyed ourselves. The bed was comfortable the room spacious. Hot water in the morning for showers. No microwave in room, but one was provided in the lobby, close to our room. Breakfast was as stated above, only toast, English muffins, two kinds of cereal, two kinds of juice, and an assortment of pastries. Not a problem for us, because we don't eat much for breakfast. Other motels may give you more, but you pay for it too in a higher room rate. Because it is next to the freeway you hear some road noise, but it didn't bother us, maybe others would object. Our room was clean an noise free from other rooms. We made the mistake of reserving our room from ReservationCounter.com and were charged $562.80 for our 8 day stay. When we arrived the assistant manager Dameion Rivera informed us that we were being overcharged. He was able to save us $92. He even helped get our original credit charge reimbursed, plus a bogus cancellation fee that ReservationCounter.com had tried to assess us. Kudos to Dameion Rivera. Total for our 8 day stay with taxes cost $470.80. read more

We ended up here because all of the hotels in Ashland were booked and we needed a place to stay the night on our trip back to California. The hotel was perfect for our needs. The room was clean and comfortable, but a little dated. The bed was fluffy with just the right amount of pillows. The linens and towels were clean. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had!! I needed a handicapped room for my husband in a wheelchair but couldn't get one and I could live with that given it was late when we checked in. Then, there was a HUGE gob of hair stuck on the shower wall!!! Ewwww....it was disgusting and all over the bathroom floor too. The used towel from the previous people was still hanging on the back of the door. The only redeeming quality about this stay was the night desk person came immediately and cleaned the hair. She was disgusted too and we both wished we would have taken pictures because it was UNBELIEVABLE! If my poor husband was not so tired, we would have gone to another hotel. Gross!! read more

We stayed here after our camping adventure got snowed out, we were excited they had vacancy since every hotel we stopped at up to this point was full due to the Shakespeare festival in Ashland. The room smelled like hooker. Which is a mix of cigarettes and floral scented body spray. Pretty much the only thing this hotel had going for them was that there was a hot shower and a heater in the room. We also didn't come home with bed bugs so that is also a bonus. For a hotel next to a truck stop it wasn't the worst. I would stay here again if the need arose but im hoping to not be in that situation ever again. read more

We, a group of 10 people came into this hotel thinking it was nice but we woke up with BED BUGS all over the bed in the middle of the night. when we told them about it they brought up that we were from texas when that had nothing to do with it and we wanted our money back, they kept saying that everything was brand new which it was but it doesn't change the fact that they had bed bugs, after everything they opened up the beds and found dead bed bugs, then still insisted that we brought them with us from texas simply because of the fact that we were from there. keep in mind this motel is infested with ants and cockroaches as well, as we find some under our mattress. some slept in the car because we were scared of being given maybe another room with bed bugs. if you are traveling make sure to check the reviews of a hotel/motel before you visit and you know, get bit by bed bugs and when you want your money back they refuse to give it back. read more

So i came here to have a nice night of sleep, i thought it was very very clean. i was wrong wronggg. we woke up with bed bugs. we saw a whole bunch of bed bugs. we called an employee at 4am and they took pictures of the alive bed bug. we just got a new room to sleep in. in the morning we continued and looked for bed bugs with the housekeeper and let me tell you, the housekeeper WAS SO RUDE! she wouldn't even believe us at first when we literally showed her the bites and a picture of it alive. when we were still complaining the housekeeper literally told us to SHUT UP! The owner came and we all kept talking to him and the housekeeper. The owner literally said that the bed bugs came from us when we looked everywhere and FOUND DEAD ONES. My cousin started recording how rude the housekeeper was. the owner kept bringing up how the hotel got new beds just a little ago and new floor. we didn't care at all about the new stuff like we have no idea why they said that. i really do not recommend this place. not at all. the employees are very rude. the owner said he was gonna give us our money back but ha they didn't give us all. read more

Our family needed a place to stay on our way back home to Seattle from California and found this place. Price was good for the accommodations. Greeted by friendly staff, who told me to contact them directly in the future to get a bit of a discount, (I had booked online with 3rd party). Room was clean, beds comfortable, pool clean (they gave us pool towels), continental breakfast was what I expected for the price. We were traveling and needed a hotel as we have children and it was about 10:00pm. We got off the highway as we saw this Americas Best and thought it would be alright as it was just for a night and have had a good previous experience years ago with this chain. My husband was able to get the room for about $95 and I figured we were getting a good deal as we were all tired and at least they had continental breakfast in the morning. Goodness was I wrong. The room was alright. It had a television and the beds were comfortable. However the bath tub filled with water when my husband tried to take a shower. We called down to the front desk and the man said he could bring a screw driver in the morning. We were not even offered to switch rooms and we were only staying the night. We all didn't get a bath or shower due to the bath tub being non functional. The electricity went on and off in our room all night so the air conditioner would stop and start randomly every 10 minutes. Not a very good nights sleep. That morning we went down to check out and grab a quick bite to eat at the continental breakfast and it was nothing more then disappointing. Frozen waffles in ziploc bags, oatmeal packets with no hot water, few yogurt cups, stale english muffins with cream cheese packets floating in water, and cold cereal. My husband asked to speak to a manager about the issues with our room, but the man at the desk said he'd have the owner call us later. We received a phone call hours later in which they refunded us $15 for our stay. Go an exit up from this stop and pay a bit more at a better chain. read more

I have never received better service at any mOtel or hotel in my life, and I've stayed at a number of 5 star hotels. The staff went above and beyond at every step. I was making an accessory for a wedding and asked if I could use some glue. The woman at the desk went to her home, got some, and had it brought to my room. I broke my ankle during my stay ( not at the motel), I spent the morning at a clinic and they let me check out almost 2 hours late with no charge. I missed my flight due to the ankle and they didn't hesitate to book me for another room so I could fly out the next day. I had to return my rental car the night before I left and they followed me to the airport and picked me up and took me back to the motel for no charge, then drove me back to the airport the next morning ( at 4am!!!!) again for free. I was happy to tip each way because their kindness brought me to tears. Again, I received beyond amazing service each step of the way and I couldn't be more grateful! We stayed at the Denham Springs, LA location. We were aware of renovations going on but found the place to be clean, pool was great. However, these new beds have been put in and they sit so high i couldn't get in it. I tried several times and it wasn't happening. I had to be brought home to sleep or else sleep in the flimsy office chair. What kind of idiots would put that kind of furniture in a hotel room? I can just see some frail old couple trying to get in those beds. So if you're short or have any physical disability this is not the place to stay. read more

Stayed at this location 2 nights to visit family in Medford. This hotel is not the best. Rooms are good size, king bed was comfortable. Upon arrival we noticed ants in the sink/coffee area. Air conditioner works well for the hot summers. The soap/shampoo they offer is funky and stinks, not a fan. Woke up in the middle of the night to assist our baby, discovered ants had taken over my water bottle, found some on my legs too. In the morning we went to the lame breakfast. White breads/bagels for the toaster. Strawberry yogurt, sugar cereal. No protein, no eggs/meat/peanut butter. Tiny cups for coffee with powder creamer. After breakfast waited about 10 mins at front desk for someone to appear, told them about ants. He made it sound like we must have left old sodas out that attracted the ants, we do not drink soda. We quickly got a new room and moved all of our stuff. Both rooms had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. New room had no ants, happy to say. Flat screen tv is nice and updated. Room had a recliner chair, table, desk, and side table, so lots of counter space was nice. Card key didn't work that great, had some issues. Wifi sucked, my phone had to re-establish connection all the time, eventually used my own internet. First room shower had no water pressure, second room did have much better pressure, but ran out of hot water. Second room had no ants. Over all it worked, but I was not impressed. read more
