I've stayed here several times before. This is a great little place to stay for a decent price. I paid like $80 for a Thursday night. This is an old roadside motel. The type of motel, where each room has its own carport. It makes sense, because the road that goes by the motel is the old highway. The place is extremely well kept. The room and the bathroom were spotless, the TV got a good picture, the heater kept the room warm, and the bed was comfortable. I got a good night sleep. Breakfast in the morning is very basic. They have a waffle machine, hot and cold cereal, fruit, juice, and coffee. If you want more, there are plenty of great places in town to grab a bite to eat. I will continue to stay here. For the price this was a place we would definitely stay again. Clean, simple room. Bathroom was immaculate and looked updated. Sheets were soft and pillows were good forming pillows. It was great to pull up directly in front of your room and be under a carport as well. Breakfast was included and it was sufficient. The room was disgusting upon arrival, the floor is clearly separated from water damage, employees hassle me about my service animal the entire time(even tried to convince me to tell them I was lying about her being a service aminimal) which I believe is strictly against hippa, monitored and timed how long any guest was in my room(when checking in i was told guest were only welcome between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. for no longer than 2 hours, which changed to 15 minutes by the end of the conversation), and even doubted my status as a veteran. This place is unwelcoming, judgemental, and overbearing. Outside the back of the building some type of rodent runs rampid in and out of what looks like access to underneath the building. The peephole in the door had been broken out and stuffed with something and when reported to the owner he said they dont worry about minor issues. The bed was nice. That is it. My recommendation spend more on your hotel instead of cutting corners with places like this. Here is the list of problems. : - recliner is broken, and they claimed to not have known. - toilet paper dispenser falling out of the wall. Manager blamed it on maintenance. - shower curtain rod falling out of the wall - Kleenex dispenser falling out of the wall - Attempts to fix things with painting, they used the wrong color now it looks like graffiti on the wall - shower curtain mount is actually falling out of the wall and look at the picture they didn't even bother to paint - Lastly, when I used the shampoo dispenser, as seen in the photo, it fell off the wall. And for all of this, they agreed to give me eight dollars off. Use your $40 and enjoy your night somewhere else. read more

It's a well priced budget motel. I've stayed there twice and found the staff friendly, the rooms clean and well appointed (fridge, microwave...). The location is walkable to several good restaurants. I've paid double this rate for no more in Medford & Ashland. Recommend. read more

08/14/2023 BED BUGS!!!! They have BED BUGS!! Eeek!! Even saw the rusty blood mark from where i rolled over on one after it was done feeding off of me. This i only know of after researching what bed bugs even are... Probably walked straight in!!! (See picture of door seal) If i would've known it was a bug before i started itching the next day, i would've taken a picture of the blood. MY blood. So gross. Before that, there was this other guest who said a lady just died five days ago in room 129 and they showed no sympathy. They even disposed of all the deceased lady's property before her son could come pick it up. The lights outside are hella bright at night and there's no curtains. Then the mysterious booty stain on the recliner. So gross. The very rude and unprofessional manager said no visitors past eight o'clock. Then she changed it and said no one can have a visitor for over an hour, then she changed it again and said no visitors at all. Usually when you PAY MONEY for a room, you can have visitors no matter what as long as you register them. The manger woman yells at everything and has people crying. I've seen it. This is the Riverside Ave. location in Medford, Oregon. DO NOT BOOK. Spend the extra twenty bucks. You'll be glad you did. read more

We were charged for 2 rooms after being told that we could not stay because they have a no pet policy, which included the possibility of leaving our dog in our own car. The desk clerk was not even nice about it stating that this policy was in their reservation agreement. Which admittedly was over looked as we were trying to make this reservation at 8:00 p.m. while driving. I had no idea as I drove off that I was going to be charged for the 2 rooms. I have disputed the charge and they have refused to credit the amount - so they have charged me for 2 rooms that were unused. So much for customer service! read more

I had an amazing stay at Rodeway Inn. Everything was smooth and they provided everything I needed - fast and free wifi, free parking, free breakfast. Also, it was cheap! Their parking model should be one every hotel and motel should follow. I don't know why more people don't follow it. Basically every room is assigned a parking spot right in front of the room. It made transporting my stuff into the room so so so much easier. The room and bed were comfortable. They had USB ports right next to both sides of your bed so you could conveniently charge your stuff there. Breakfast was basic - some scrambled eggs, yogurt, fruit, waffles, and a few other things. My only gripe with breakfast is they offer styrofoam cups for coffee. I wish they could just be a little more eco friendly. Would absolutely recommend this place. Clean. Freshly painted. New furnature. Staff weren't wearing masks when I arrived. One went away. The other put her mask on haphazardly and below her nose, despite masking signs. Breakfast starts at 7 am-tough for a road trip. Signs say no food out of tiny breakfast room with no one else masked. Limited selection : eggs, few yogurts...Our room had coffeemaker but no coffee. Worse though: the room was freezing!!!!!!! Never warmed up. Heater was loud but we kept it on. It turned off in middle of night and I turned it back on. Bathroom especially cold. Cold air seemed to be coming thru hole around vent. We usually stay here on way to/from CA. Maybe not in future. Given late breakfast, Covid concerns, sign in breakfast room and cold room????! There were multiple small holes in the curtains that I didn't notice until the following morning when my room was dark and it was light outside. The privacy of the room felt questionable. The people who work here (especially the guy at the front desk) have terrible attitudes. A couple hours after I checked in, they felt the need to come bother me and nit-pick where I was parked. Apparently they have some sort of weird policy that you have to park directly in front of your room. There were like 7 cars in the entire parking lot and like 20 empty parking spaces. Apparently, I was parked a whole 2 spaces too far to the right... They don't have any signs in their parking lot stating this policy and I wasn't told when I checked in. Seems like an awfully petty and silly reason to annoy your guests over something so trivial. The wifi was so bad, that I ended up just using my phone's data to connect to the internet. When I told the guy at the front desk, his immediate reply was, "I checked the wifi and it's working fine..." I won't be back and I don't recommend staying here. read more

I get here at 10:55pm from out of state after a 10 hours drive. In a uhual the whole thing. I get into my room and my dog barks once and the person in the front calls me and tell me people were calling wanting refunds. He threw the laws in my face and said "that's not an emotional support animal that's a dog and dogs are not allowed here" yelled at me told me over and over again that I lied about my service animal. Straight up said give me the keys get your things and get out you will get no refund your lucky I don't report you to the police . It's 12:20am I had to get the only hotel in town that had availability down the street. You guess it it's garbage. I'm emotionally torn and very distressed. I can't believe the animalistic behavior of this person, the disgust in his face from the second I walked in. You are a straight racist. I find it hilarious that YOU treated me like that. I've been stopping over in Medford this summer while driving between OR and CA, and this was the best motel I've found! I've included pictures so you can see, but if you are in the mood for a motel, this is an amazing option. I love a cavelike hotel room because I don't want to hear other people and I further don't like a giant window that you really can't have open anyway if you want to hang out in your chonies. So this was perfect perfect perfect for me! This motel is modest in appearance, but it is...so clean! Everywhere I went, the property was clean. I snuck a look into a maintenance area and the spare plywood was organized and the tools were all hung and neat. This is super uncommon to find!! The laundry room was clean with no lint to be found! If I can give this review 0 stars I would and this is why I was trying to travel from California to Oregon, but unfortunately due to the wildfires going on in California I am unable to travel safely to get to my destination so I needed to cancel my reservation to this motel. I called to talk to the lady and she absolutely refused to give her name or any information for a refund, She basically told me she's gonna take my money and it doesn't matter that I can't make it to the location even given the circumstances. I had my mother who lives in Oregon also call to try to help me with this situation and it was the same thing the lady was extremely rude and aggressive on the telephone would not give her information and basically said I'm taking your money and that's it. Unfortunately there's a natural disaster going on right now and I couldn't make it there you would think this lady would be a little bit more understanding and compassionate towards a mother traveling with an infant, letting her know I can not make it safely. You would think she would refund my money instead she basically stole from me and my child. I would never recommend anyone go to a business of a person who can just steal money from somebody. read more

We are a military family that happened to be passing through this area into our next duty station. I found this place on Yelp, and called to see if there were any vacancies, and they did have one. I asked about the price of the room, and the woman told me $95.95. I asked if they did military discount, she said no. I then asked about the Yelp offer, and she asked me what the Yelp offer stated. I told her it said 10% off, and she told me "Oh no, we can't do that." I thanked her for letting me know the rates, and that my husband and I would continue to call around, and if we chose to stay there, we would call them back. We called a few more places, and ended up staying at the Motel 6, which suited our needs perfectly. I just want to clarify that $95.95 for one night isn't bad. But for anyone that understands the moving process with the military, knows that you try to be as smart about spending as possible. I think that the management needs to take down the Yelp offer because it's false advertising and it misleads customers. read more

Traffic on Riverside was minimal at night, and the guests on the two nights that I stayed went unnoticed. And actually at the top of my list right now is how they handle Covid. there was proper signage in the public places. First of all, bravo on the yelp advertising. I came here solely on the #1 listing for Madras motels. The place was clean and decent and fairly affordable. However, I have to say that the 5 star reviews seem a bit much. I mean yes, it's clean. Fully acceptable place. I'd stay here again. And there is a microwave and fridge, if you're into that. And there's free Continental breakfast until 9:00 AM. There's complimentary HBO and a kazillion dish TV stations. It's what you need from a motor hotel. Nevertheless, it's an old motor hotel in a long strip of old motor hotels that look more less as good or as bad as this one. Take it for what it's worth. The room smells a bit too strongly of room freshener--it emanates from the carpeting. The ceiling fan in the bathroom, which comes on with the lights, caterwauls like a diesel engine on an industrial refridgeration unit. It's LOUD! The ice machine is in the guest laundary room in some dark back back corner, next to some remodeling project. It gives the active imagination of yours truly flashes of slasher flick abduction scenarios. That ain't exactly "as good as it gets". It's merely okay. And clean (clean goes a long way). Oh yeah, there's a 10% off deal through Yelp. I called for a reservation and got a quote of $67. I explained to the woman on the phone that I had this 10% off Yelp deal, and she recalculated and told me the price was $62. So $5 is 10% of 67. Just FYI. read more

This hotel was a gem! The outside parking lot is very clean and kept up despite the hotel not being in a very good part of town. Each room has it's own parking space right in front of the door. The room being a typical two star set up was super clean. I remarked to the front desk that they had just painted and remodeled, but she said it had been a long time. Got to Roadway Inn last night at 9:30. They were happy to see us and gave us a great room. I like it when a room is clean and smells good and has free WI FI. Rodeway Inn provided us a great room with great lighting, a flat screen TV with Direct TV channels, refrigerator, and microwave in the room. There is also a coffee maker with a two cup carafe. I trusted the ratings, this isn't the fanciest place but if you want a clean decent place to stay I would stay here again, we are from out of town and we stayed at the Hilton the first night and paid $75 more, the saying is true you get what you pay for. This isn't a luxury hotel but it's quiet and clean, not run down. You really can't beat the price. We got our double queen beds for less than $87. What I like about this place: 1. Clean : it's not new, but clean. 2. Easy to find. 3. Park your car right out your room? That is really worth just about all the not so good stuff. I suspect that this was once a set of apartments that have been remodeled into motel rooms. Not so great stuff : 1. Where are all the outlets? Someone remind me to bring a power strip when I travel next. 2. The wifi is super weak. Then again, we paid for a Best Western at least 50 more dollars three and a half hours away from here and the wifi was no better. All in all, I'm very happy with this place considering the cost. From the manager who had to let us in to room at 2 am, being so nice and you can tell he takes pride in making you comfortable to everyone we met. When I got there the guy at the desk asked how many people and I mentioned my baby then he asked me if my baby cries when waking up. I said sometimes and he went on to say that people complain and that he didn't want to place us in a room next to someone. I mean it's a baby, of course they are going to cry. If people are going to complain about babies crying they can go kick rocks. The bed was pretty comfortable and the room look updated. I would stop here again. Although I was a little disappointed with the breakfast, you could only have it in the one area and it was crowded so I skipped it. The first time was good experience in early August. So we went back the second time in late august. This was very a let down, the $200 /night room is a bit smelly, small cracks and holes in curtains, empty facial box in washing area, the whole night, strong weed odor like someone smoking pot next door. We did room reservation one week before and actually spoke to a female staff on the phone directly and quoted a price with a receipt emailed to me. When we checked in, the front desk staff charged us $6.00 more, said what you were got the price on room is estimated only, the price can go up on the day. Are you kidding me, this has never happened to us before and we travel very very often times. Needed a midway point to crash on our road trip from Seattle to San Ramon. Not exactly the four seasons but a solid option. Small family owned/run operation. Building is old, but they do a good job maintaining the facility and doing the most with what they've got. It's clean and has all the basic amenities. Staying more than one night would be a stretch. Price is competitive. Bonus: Breakfast. It's more than cereal and toast. They had a waffle maker, eggs, sausage and basic fruit. Gym. Nothing special. My son and I stayed at the Medford Rodeway Inn on 3/9/21. We were impressed with everything about the hotel. The staff members we talked to at check-in and check-out were very friendly and accommodating. The entire place was very clean and orderly. The beds and bedding were clean and comfortable. We usually stay at Marriott hotels when we travel but they were booked up as were all the hotels we called in the area on this last minute trip we took. We were fortunate to get the last room at the Rodeway Inn. We will stay at the Rodeway in every time we visit the Medford/Ashland area and highly recommend this hotel to all fellow travelers! read more
