I picked My Place Hotel in Medford expecting a simple, functional stay. Instead, it felt unmanaged and dismissive of basic guest needs. No manager on duty when needed: I was told you need a manager to charge anything to your room... but there was no manager available, so the request went nowhere. Temperature was unbearable: The hotel was way too hot, yet the front desk clerk insisted it was "cold" and acted like my concern wasn't valid. Kitchenette is basically for show: The room has a full kitchenette, but no utensils or cookware, so what's the point? TV/remote was a mess (and got worse): The remote had no batteries, and the clerk was unsympathetic and downright rude about it. The TV menu/guide wouldn't even show unless you're basically standing on top of the TV, which defeats the purpose of a remote. I was told to "use the channel print-out." I'm not from here--how am I supposed to know what's on TV without the menu/guide? Then I had to switch rooms: After all that, it turned out the TV was actually broken, so I had to change rooms. Had to go to the desk for batteries: They said they were out of batteries, but "luckily" they had a drawer full of brand-new remotes instead. Between the lack of basic support, the heat, and the rude response to simple issues, this was not a comfortable or customer-friendly stay. Save your money and stay elsewhere. read more

When I first moved to Oregon, I needed to stay at a hotel for a couple weeks, most were sketchy and seemed unclean in differing ways. My Place was super clean, in a safe part of town, close to the airport. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and spacious, well maintained, and have kitchenettes, which was exactly what I needed! The price was a hair higher than the trap hotels in town, but I felt like I stayed in a brand new house instead of in something far less desirable. This is like a 1/2 kitchenette set up. A Stove top and full size refer, toaster n coffee maker. BUT NO UTENSILS of any kind. Can't cook, eat , boil , butter Or dine at a table. But they will bring you some kind of breakfast, pre order, for 8.00 more each in the morning. Or, just cross the parking lot to the drive up coffee station. It's actually fine that this is the set up, I had no plans to cook. But others certainly would. The tv is a bit dinky. Fine for a night. read more

Great stay! We booked it through Expedia and were very happy with it. It had a kitchenette, with a full fridge that made ice, stovetop, microwave and coffee pot. The beds were also very nice, the sheets and comforter were VERY SOFT. They even had a double mattress protector on the beds. They didn't serve breakfast but they have an option to buy a breakfast sandwich for $3.50 at the counter. Everything was VERY clean. 10/10! There are no pots/pans/silverware so bring your own if you need to cook. read more

Here for business and supposed to stay again next week, which definitely won't happen. I couldn't even charge a bottle of water to my room, which i used my business credit card to check in. I chose a hotel specifically with a kitchette, which is completely useless unless you buy literally everything (no silverware, pot, glass, bowel, etc) $30 for a pot, $5 for a bowel, $4 per utensil, the list goes on!....would make for the most expensive top ramen ever. read more

Got two rooms. One for me. One for my friend. I'm in 219 tonight. Victor, very helpful. Nice man. I talked to him yesterday and he made me reservations. Gave us information about local things. My friend lined this motel up with the surgery center right across the street. She was having back surgery. Noticed a lot of negative comments. I enjoyed my stay, clean, comfortable bed, cozy. It had a full size fridge, microwave and cook top. You do need to bring your own utensils plates and dishes. I did purchase the 7 dollar breakfast. They give you a list of items to purchase. Next door to the motel is human bean. The motel has coffee 24-7. There is no restaurants close by. Costco is a few miles down the street. read more

First of all, do not confuse this hotel with Candlewood Suites. The rooms LOOK the same. They are NOT. My Place Hotel does not offer any utensils, plates or cooking pans at all. It does offer a coffee pot. In addition, I am here for work. The internet connection is useless. The laundry charges $4.00 per load to wash and dry. After everything I had to supplement my stay with it was much more expensive than a stay at Candlewood Suites. The ladder supplies everything. Internet is reliable and laundry is clean and free. I will not make this mistake again. read more

Although this is not a five star hotel, I have stayed here three times and each day was exemplary. That's why I've given it five stars. I've stayed at the majority of the hotels in Medford for park and fly trips and at all cost at least $50 more , yet none of them are as good as my place. I don't know if it's because it's a young hotel or they're new in the area but consistently it has proven to be a wonderful place to stay and it is now my go-to anytime I have to fly and leave my car. Front desk was great always at the ready to help they give you a voucher for a shuttle to the airport and they cover the cost. It is scrupulously clean incredibly comfortable great linens great pillows perfectly located across the street from the airport. read more

Great staff. Love this place but the toilet had splatters where the previous guest must have been sick and the cleaning staff did not clean the toilet. Finger prints all over the outside of the microwave so I doubt it was cleaned. read more

Excellent property. Staff was awesome. Both shifts were super helpful to me. The laundry room was super clean and a very fair price. The property was immaculate inside and out. The room was super nice. Excellent bed. They gave me cooking utensils and place settings for dinner in my room. The morning coffee was amazing. So tasty and fresh. This has been my favorite property in my recent past. I didn't recognize the name and it was affordable so I gave it a shot. I was impressed over and over. I will look for this hotel in my travels in other cities and always stay here when I return to Medford. read more

My place is a new hotel chain covering the entire country with what looks like about 60 locations and growing. I would not be surprised if somebody said that I was the first person to sleep in this room. The facility is brand new and has only been open for a couple of weeks. How can you have any complaints about a brand new location! It's perfectly located, well decorated, of course clean, and very well laid out. My place is an extended stay hotel for family and business travelers. They did a terrific job setting up a small kitchen having a two burner tabletop stove, microwave, toaster, and a true full-size refrigerator with icemaker. My room is set up with a single queen bed and a full size reclining man chair pointed right at the TV. I could see myself making this a homebase for an "extended stay". Imagine that. read more

This location is a few months new. Google Maps directions had us in the back with no entrance. We found the driveway and front entrance circling the block. Check-in is slow and the clerk charged $100 security deposit despite the fact we prepaid for 3 nights. No where in the lobby, documents, online or when I made the reservation was I advised of a security deposit. We found out on the second day the rooms are not cleaned, nor were towels replaced. My brother went down to the front desk and obtained fresh towels. After putting a poor review on Google Maps Community I received a direct email response from the owner. She apologized and stated staff would be better trained. Good. She mentioned the clerk should have mentioned a dish set for cooking which we would have been charged a $100 deposit. I replied, "so we were charged a deposit and not given the dish set." Her reply, "the dish set would have been an additional $100 deposit. There is a $100 security deposit upon check-in." Are you serious??? Wall air conditioner barely worked. Waking up in the morning we were a bit warm on the 4th floor despite having the temperature set to 68°F and set to ON...not automatic. Folks--I do not recommend staying here. Staying in hotels for business and pleasure for over 40 years I've never heard of being charged a deposit for check-in. I understand the deposit for a dish set--so you return it or they get it replaced. I've never ruined a room in my life. Maybe some of you have and that's why the charge. There is no restaurant on property or within walking distance so for meals you need to drive. If you cook in the room you will find a small dish towel and soap for cleaning and a small drying towel. Wait...no dishwasher like at Marriott Residence Inn. And no scrub brush, scratch pad, etc. You need to bring your own shampoo and conditioner because you get one small bottle. Not replaced daily. You get one bath soap and one hand soap, however. Rooms are cleaned every 7 days or after you check out. Definitely not my type of place. read more

I AM TICKED OFF!!! So... have you ever heard of an extended stay hotel that has a full size refrigerator/freezer, kitchen sink, coffee maker, toaster, 2 burner stove top AND ABSOLUTELY NO DISHES, PLATES, BOWLS, CUPS, SILVERWARE, POTS OR PANS?! Oh & are you ready for this... NO ONE bothered to mention that when I checked in either! BUT wait... they made sure to tell me there's no breakfast because "they have no kitchen". BUT I could order what they called "breakfast in bed" for $7+ per person that would be delivered to my door?! Where are you cooking that? At home?! Absolutely fantastic to find this out after a long drive! I checked in & just went to the grocery store before going up to the room & now have food I cannot cook anything UNLESS I "PURCHASE" POTS, PANS ETC... from the front desk, because they are available FOR SALE!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL?!?! I was told that "corporate doesn't allow them to loan out pots or pans"! I Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Unless you plan on packing up your kitchen to take on your trip! What a hell hole!!! I stayed there on a long drive from NV to Bellingham. I booked this as I was traveling with my small 15lb well behaved dog. I was given a room next to the elevator (not really a pet friendly location!) on the 2nd floor. There was a carful of stoned people partying at the end of the parking lot as I went to take her for her last walk of the night. I tried to get some sleep as I had been driving 12 hours. The elevator door kept opening and closing all night. Not much sleep to be had. In the very early morning, the fire alarm went off and there was a fire down the hall from my room. Everyone on the floor was grabbing kids and dogs and making their way to the other end of the hallway to the stairs. As soon as I got in my car, I looked in my car mirror. I was covered from head to toe in bed bug bites! All I got from the hotel when I did a review on Hotels.com was "sorry for the inconvenience" from Justin Lemus who I guess is some sort of bad manager! Oh ya, I went to buy something to eat at the "store" by the front desk and asked to put it on my room . I was told it is cash only. I highly recommend someplace else to stay. It is now 6 days later and the bed bug bites on my face are just starting to fade away. read more

I booked a stay that this location through Expedia as I am a single mother who is saving where I can. The county that I live in is currently experiencing a wild fire with power outage and road closure. I called to move the dates during to road closure which the hotel did do for me is why I am giving then a 1 star. As of today 8.25.2023 the fire is still on going with zero containment and roads continue to be closed. I called to cancel can the general manager refuse to wave the fee as he states that he has already refunded someone else for similar reasons and will only move the date to a future date. Understand that the reason why I booked this hotel is to take my children school shopping and a little mom and kid time before school starts. Do not stay here if you can help it. They will not work with you during a crisis. read more

When we stayed there the first time they were quite crabby and didn't really want to be helpful at all. We were leaving for Maui the next day. We reserved a room for when we we're going to come back, we came in at 12:30 AM 11 days later. We landed went to go get our room and of course they had given it away and did not keep the reservation. Where were we supposed to go at 12:30 AM? We will not be back. Plus they don't make up the beds, bring fresh towels and clean your room daily but weekly or after you leave the Hotel.
