Very clean rooms. Staff is very friend helpful. Nice breakfast buffet. 5 o'clock bar and grill in the lobby and Ko-Kwel casino right next door. A very pleasant visit.

Well I'll be darned y'all. Why would a MARGARITAVILLE hotel be in Medford Oregon? Who cares. It's great. The staff is truly wonderful. It's new and smells and looks it. But ironically as new as it is the very first day the elevator was down on one side. There were definitely signs that it was new but had issues or at the least weren't able to keep up with cleaning (like footprints on the cloth dining room chairs.) And honestly this would have been an issue for me if the service and rest of the experience wouldn't have been as excellent as they were. The staff here is really excellent. I didn't see a single manager or "supervisor" looking person. And I also didn't see a SINGLE employee without a smile. The music is ALL beachy vacation vibes and it makes it feel happy. They also pipe some incredible smell in that I was OBSESSED with. It smelled so good. Like seriously y'all should sell candles of it!! So the staff. They were WONDERFUL. I swear not ONE person wasn't wearing a smile, offering kindness, making sure we were happy. It felt first class. I definitely want to come back again so I can enjoy the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland again, a relaxing pool day here and a great short trip. My kids and I loved it I'll be back!!!

Nice location, good value and hospitality. We stayed here for one night during a roadtrip to CA. This hotel has a great location, just off the freeway and down the street, near plenty of restaurants and right next to a golf activity center. Parking is plentiful and the hotel property seems to be well maintained. When we arrived we were greeted by a welcoming and friendly staff. The check in process was efficient, our room was clean and had a functional and spacious layout, along with all of the necessary amenities (coffee maker, bottled water, toiletries). I also really liked the layout of the bathroom and it had hooks in all the right places. IYKYK! The complimentary breakfast is legit! We had coffee, scrambled eggs (don't skip the ranchero sauce), island potatoes, sausage, bacon and French toast sticks with maple syrup and everything tasted great! But they also had oatmeal, fruit, cheese, hard boiled eggs, pastries, and juices - everything you could want or need for a great breakfast. And the morning staff were also super kind, approachable and attentive. This will be our go-to overnight stop on all future road trips. Thank you!

Travelling up and down between Oregon/California, we were afforded the opportunity to try a few different hotels, staying one night in each. This one however is my number one choice. It's amazing! Have so far stayed in 4 different hotels. I cannot recommend this one highly enough. You literally feel like you've suddenly been transported to Maui. It does have a real island feel, as soon as you walk though the door. It smells so good throughout. The lobby is beautiful, and leads onto a small gift/concessions store with t shirts and swimming accessories, as they have a beautifully appointed outdoor pool, and patio area. It's so clean, pristine and gorgeous. Check in was smooth, and staff are very patient and kind. The room was stunning. Everything had a sort of "traveler" theme, with the star compass featured strongly everywhere, and it stays cohesive throughout the property. It's immaculately clean. The room temperature was exactly as I like it. Bathroom fixtures and fittings were attractive and modern, and the shower was excellent. Very comfortable beds - i slept like a log. There were these little "luxury make up remover" packages. I opened one, and inside was a tiny round pill, stamped with the star compass theme (the theme is echoed even on the toiletries) i know that you immerse these little round things in water, and they expand to become a wipe. What i wasn't expecting as the amazing smell of jasmine and sandalwood. Whilst i never ever take hotel toiletries, i did use one package, and i "liberated" the 2nd one. They also offer prepackaged q tips, and cotton rounds. Those are a rarer commodity in hotels. Breakfast. Oh my God! The breakfast. So first off, the breakfast space (it's also the restaurant) is airy, bright and inviting, lots of windows that look out over the pool and patio area. There are board games available to play and the little gift/concessions store is at the rear. Off to the side is the room where the buffet spread is laid out. My eyes lit up. I felt i had won the lottery. French toast fingers, bacon, eggs, sausage patties, turkey bacon, potatoes were featured in the hot selection. Juices (Apple, Orange, cranberry) cereals, teas and coffees, bread, pastries, croissants, muffins. And the spigot for hot water looked like it came from an alien spaceship, and i needed someone to show me how to use it. I could've happily sat in this space for hours. Then maybe had a dip in the pool, or sunbathed in a cabana. I went and browsed the gift shop, and lo and behold, hey had a tin of the luxury make up wipes, with the hotel logo on the front. So i purchased some of those. I genuinely loved this hotel, and did not want to leave. The lady who was ensuring guest enjoyed their breakfasts, was chatty, and told us that Jimmy Buffet had wanted an Island feel for the hotel. Anyway, all i can say is, please expand your chain as fast as possible, because i loved staying here. Beautiful.

Great stop for weary I5 travelers. Modern hotel with all the amenities you want (except EV chargers). We make this drive from California to Northern Oregon often and will return

We decided to try Compass Hotel by Margaritaville in Medford and were so glad we did. Firstly- white comforter and white sheets- very clean room! Mom always said don't stay at a place with a colored comforter The bed was comfortable, the bathroom amenities were amazing- the makeup removal wipe - wanted to keep it on my face forever because it smelled so good, The breakfast was ample and tasty, coffee was strong.., pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs and more! Great grassy area for the dog! Lots of food spots nearby - a must stay at. Good for kids- pool, giant jenga, cornhole...fun beach atmosphere literally looks like a tropical holiday Best of all staff is so nice- forgot a bag and they called me and are mailing it- looove

    Happy hour!

If you have to get a hotel in Medford, there's no better hotel. They do a great job of making you feel like you're NOT in Medford. The music, the pool, the happy hour at the bar... all made me feel like I was in a vacation rather than a business trip.

Unfortunately, Lithia Resort chose not to respond at all. During our two-night stay, the entire hotel lost water at approximately 10:00 PM, and it wasn't restored until around 6:30 the following morning. This wasn't a minor inconvenience. My daughter was in the middle of a shower with soap all over her body and had no way to rinse off except with bottled water. We couldn't flush the toilet in our room for the entire night and had no choice but to continue using it. It made for an incredibly unpleasant and unsanitary experience. Things happen. I understand that. Hotels can't always prevent emergencies. What matters is how they respond. When we checked out the next morning, the manager acknowledged the situation and told us they would be applying a discount to our stay. That never happened. After returning home, I sent a courteous email to the hotel explaining what happened and simply requested that they refund the one night that was affected. I wasn't asking for both nights. I thought that was a fair and reasonable request given that one of the most basic services a hotel provides, running water, was unavailable for nearly nine hours. They never responded. No refund. No discount. No apology. Not even the courtesy of a reply. The complete lack of communication is honestly more disappointing than the water outage itself. Problems happen. Ignoring your guests after promising to make things right is a choice. Based on our experience, I would highly recommend staying in a different hotel when visiting Ashland.

I saw the many rave reviews and decided that this must be "the place". I'm going to be as objective…read moreas possible while setting the record straight- the staff were all good, and offering breakfast, appetizers and cookies/fire/s'mores in the evening was a really nice touch. As others have mentioned, the breakfast wasn't great, but we were travelling with little kids so having something to get the day started is really important (A for effort, C- for execution). They had a decent selection of beer and wine to order in the evenings (at reasonable prices for a hotel). The grounds were pretty nice. Things fall short of expectations when you get to the accommodations and location. Our cabin felt old and dilapidated, not "historic" in the sense of the Ahwahnee Lodge (Yosemite) or Lake MacDonald Lodge (Glacier). You walk in to a slightly damp environment that smells a bit like septic mixed with old camp fire. The couch, and carpet were pretty gross. Beds were mediocre, and although the sheets looked clean, the setup wasn't exactly confidence inspiring. Rooms are not cleaned daily, and since we have little people in diapers, we opted to just put the trash can outside. Perhaps the worst part was that we were put into the AFrame cabin with no possibility to change rooms (that's not what I booked). There's a steep ladder that leads to the second bed upstairs. This arrangement is not realistic or safe with toddlers. Overall, everything was just, kinda... shabby. "Historic" in the context of the Weasku is a euphemism for "run-down". As for location, if you think you're going to be right on the Rogue, you'd be mistaken. There's an irrigation ditch that runs directly behind the cabins, fed by a pump house about 100 yards away. If you do walk down to the river, be careful because this section is very dangerous/inhospitable. The river is really swift there, so it's not good for fishing (yes, no fishing spots there!), not good for kids, no beach stuff... but plenty of spiked berry brambles and poison oak if that's your thing. Road noise is constant and detracts from the vibe of peaceful seclusion. Interstate 5 is hidden by trees just on the other side of the river, so you'll hear that all night long. As for Grants Pass, unless you've got a reason to be there, you'd be better off somewhere like Ashland. The Weasku served our needs, and we all escaped without bedbugs or scabies. Would I stay again? Not if you paid me. Rating reflects great staff and nice grounds, with negative stars for accommodations.

I saw some very positive reviews for The Weasku Inn on the Rogue River, so I booked it. I am SO glad I did! The lodge is nostalgic of days gone by, built in 1924-- so quaint and lovely. On arrival, a warm staff met us and we checked in to a picturesque cabin facing the river. Perfect! King sized SUPER comfy bed stacked high with lovely quilts. The cabin featured a lovely mountain-style, working rock fireplace with a comfy couch facing the fireplace, looking out onto the trees with the river beyond. The cabin had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The Weasku offers "appetizers" in the evening--which really is more like a meal. If you are still hungry after the appetizer hours, which we were not, restaurants for dinner are just a quick 5 minute drive away. There is a bar available to purchase wines, beer and ciders, if you wish, available all day long with complementary coffees and teas, as well. And the FULL breakfast is SO well done; not like those plastic, poorly done "breakfasts" served at many places--THIS is a proper, complete breakfast meal. There is a fire pit for evenings and complementary "s'more"kits are available for toasting on the fire. The Weasku staff were so warm and friendly and all seemed to be pleased to see us! We will most certainly return to this lovely spot. If what you want is a respite from the crazy, a quiet cozy place to relax and comfortable accommodations, you will love The Weasku.
