I've done a couple escape room and this is a really good one. The host was awesome and the challenge had multiple well thought out rooms.

We had a really great time here. The room was crazy cool and not easy by any stretch of the means. These guys did an amazing job making the rooms look authentic and creating a believable story line with challenging clues. This was the first escape room I've done where you had to go back and forth between rooms. Now that I know that's their thing I'll be back to experience the other rooms. You'll have fun!!!! I've always heard that escape rooms were fun, but now I know what the hype is all about. Definitely go check out this location, they're fairly new! There were two women working (Dallas and I can't remember the other name) but they were so friendly and welcoming. There were seven of us, and five of us were newbies. Tbh I had no idea what I was about to get myself into. No cellphones or anything (don't worry there are safe lockers to keep your belongings). We were in the Crisis at 1600 room and it was White House/President themed. You're given one hour to try to escape the room. Lots of locks, puzzles, maps to uncover - don't want to say too much about it - I want other people to enjoy it. It was a good time. LOTS of brain power and team building. I would highly recommend bringing a sports team to do one of these rooms. We were SO CLOSE to escaping if we had one more minute left. The woman who worked there was ready to take a video of us escaping we were that close. If you're claustrophobic this might not be your thing, but you really never know which room you'll get assigned to. They're all different sizes. In the near future, they're coming out with a new "Asylum Room," so for any of you who enjoy scary stuff - I'm sure it'll be horrifying. I believe my friend got the room off of Groupon for around $150 or so. We were able to split it and it was under $25 a person. read more

I've been to tons of Escape rooms, this one had some glaring flaws that I don't think should be in an ER. To start with, their website gives no indication of how difficult each room is. They use a bar graph type of visual to show Pressure, agility, intellect, etc(which really don't tell you anything about the room) but the "best time" and "escape rate" aren't filled in. This is a big issue because I often do ER's with 1 other person and we typically have no trouble finishing unless the room was specifically made for a large group or just made to be really tough to finish Secondly, there was a disclaimer in the intro video that this game requires "no muscle, only brains", but there was a part in the game where you had to aim a nerf gun through a small hole and shoot a very small target from across the room. You're given 5-7 shots and told that if you run out of shots, it will count as one of your 3 clues or lose you time. That's insane! I got LUCKY that my very last shot hit, but I can easily see some people shooting 10-20 times and still not hitting because you have to pull the gun out of the hole to reload so it's not like you can keep the gun in place and adjust it a tiny bit for your next shot. They definitely need to make the target bigger, give more shots, get a gun that has multiple shots at once(without reloading), or just remove that part altogether. Third, many of the locks didn't open on our first try even when we had the right code or number. This happened at least 3 times and when we asked for a hint, the hint was basically just "try that lock again" and sure enough, it finally worked. The puzzle guide told us that she'd give guidance if she saw we were on the right track but she should have seen immediately when we tried the right key or had the right code but that it didn't work. She shouldn't have waited for us to ask for a hint Fourth, there were 2 times that we were shouting for a hint to be given and had silence for about 2 minutes before a hint was given. And even when I shouted that we should get some extra time added, no reply was given and then the timer was up, we were just told "sorry it's over". I suspect she was on her phone or distracted because that could also explain why we weren't told sooner about locks that we had the correct key/code for but just didn't work on the first try Fifth, there was one particularly tedious "puzzle" which easily took 15 minutes of tedious work to do, it felt like a time waster just to lower the escape rate. You might say it would be faster with more than 2 people but no, we were only given 2 markers so even if we had 10 people, only 2 could draw a mark on the board so the extra 8 people would have been very little help. Lastly, this specific room(crisis at 1600) has TONS of 4-digit locks all around. There was so little variety in the types of locks that at any point there were 3 or 4 4-digit locks so if we ever came across 4 digits anywhere we'd have to try them in all of those locks and sometimes you'd forget about a lock so you wouldn't try it, leading to being stuck, asking for a hint and the hint just being "try that other lock that you haven't tried yet". read more

Hands down the best Escape room in Tampa Bay area we have done so far. Their rooms are unique, with great puzzles, and almost every aspect is used as a clue. They create their own rooms and Jo is a great Escape artist. Asylum is probably one of the most intriguing and hardest escape rooms we have done and were 98% there! We also did the Pandemic which was great and quite challenging. I would highly recommend trying them and doing their rooms!! Can't wait to do the third one!! read more

This was actually a first time I have ever done an escape room, so I walked in mostly not having any idea of what to expect. My boyfriend and I decided to do this to finish off our Halloween weekend, and we thought an escape room would be something new and different that we could both enjoy. So I picked out the Asylum room (to go with the scary theme) and I thought that it would be even more interesting being a psych nurse. The staff was very helpful in explaining and briefing me and my boyfriend before we went in. The room and set ups were done very well and to me it looked like a setting inside a haunted house. This was different since we were engaging and interacting with everything in there. It was somewhat embarrassing to say, but we were stuck in the one room (a spooky Psychiatrist's office that looked like it was before the depression era) for a good 40 minutes before we were able to figure out how to go to the next round but we needed A LOT of help from the staff to figure out and find our clues. Sadly, time ran out and we only managed to get to scary padded room, but in the end, the staff quickly went through the entire rooms in the maze to show us how to solve the puzzles, so we got a chance to see the other rooms in the maze that we never got to. What I loved about it is that it looked just like a haunted house from Howl-O-Scream and Halloween Horror Nights. This place is perfect to do if you want to have some excitement, but also engage yourself and your friends at the same time. read more

I have done pandemic and Asylum here and this location is BY FAR the best escape room experience ever. I am no expert, but I have done a few escape rooms all over Tampa, and not one holds a candle to this location. The setup, game flow, and staff are wonderful. Finally made it out here in a group of four, and it was amazing. Had an hour to escape the Asylum room, and it lived up to its name! There were dark rooms and jumps and creepy goings on, plus puzzles and riddles. Don't want to give too much away, but we def had to work as a team! We went here on a whim with a group of 7. Several of us had played escape rooms before, and a couple had not. We went around 8pm for the Pandemic room. This challenge was awesome as it had several different types of puzzles and several rooms to get through. The theme was good too. The decorations and props and puzzles were cool. The staff is friendly and very helpful if you get stuck. There was enough for all seven of us to participate with so that there were few times someone was just waiting around. In the end we escaped with five minutes left. It was a heart pounding finish but we made it! Great place for families or even groups of adults like we had. We will definitely be back for the other rooms. Try it out! There is a reason basically all their reviews here and on Google are 4-5 stars. They're great! read more
