These guys are fighting an uphill battle, because they specialize in de-escalating dangerous or unhealthy environments that no homeowner or tenant wants to deal with. I've called them twice. First time, after I bought a discounted condo: a hoarder had abused her walls and floors, letting water sit and ruining all floor/cabinets. I had 4 mold / flood specialists, from local to national sized, give me estimates. Ameriflood was the most thorough describing what the work would be in writing and then stuck to their plan. After the messy work of demolishing drywall and whatnot, they dried everything out and cleaned up the space. Easy - I was ready to renovate. Fast forward a year, after installing beautiful hardwood floors and cabinets and fresh cabinets all throughout -- a common pipe upstairs corroded and wound up flooding an entire bedroom and parts of several other rooms. Within a week, Ameriflood's super friendly and flexible crew had come out to contain the wettest floors and walls and begin the sad process of demolishing the now ruined renovations. They stuck to their estimate and even beat it by a few hundred bucks, and they cleaned up common hallways and wiped my non-demolished floors down after the job was done. They made my really unfortunate situation a little easier and for that I am grateful. read more

Really quite impressive. I don't ever write reviews, but Rob and his folks at Ameriflood are off the charts. Professional, knowledgable, and delightfully easy to work with. I noticed water dripping from my garage ceiling and traced it back to a faucet leak in the kitchen above. It looked like a small issue, but when they opened up the drywall it was obvious that this was just the latest leak. They put their equipment in place in the kitchen as well as the garage. Dealt with the mold. Came back after the weekend and removed everything leaving it all clean with plastic covering the larger than anticipated hole in the ceiling. Robert called me back about 25 minutes after I left a YELP request, he came out that afternoon, gave me a verbal, sent me the written estimate that was gosh-darned close to his verbal and his crew was out two days later. His guys at AmeriFlood sealed the area, removed all the damaged and potentially toxic wet items (carpet and pad, entire ceiling, attic insulation). They double sprayed an anti-fungus/mold/toxin, cleaned up everything, left behind a dehumidifier and fans, cleaned up the inside and external path they used and did it all with smiles and the long-lost art of respect, politeness and gratitude for being paid. Besides all that, the crew of three all seemed happy to be able to help us out two weeks from Thanksgiving so we could still have the grandkids come and stay in their own room. And to top it off, Robert set me up with a contractor to do the restoration after he was done. And the contractor has the same "I'm here to help and make you a happy customer" attitude. Our water heater broke and leaked into the garage wall and the adjacent bathroom and hallway walls. Having no hot water and the risk of mold growing made it an urgent situation. Water/sewage damages are always inconvenient and unpleasant. All you can hope for is to find the right company and the right people to help you through it. Sewage line break over Thanksgiving weekend, and sewage overflow in laundry room into common area driveway. Sewage and every unpleasant thing you can think of all along the driveway into the street. Yelp'd Ameriflood and owner Robert replied within the hour. Came out and inspected the property and gave a quick estimate to clean up. Next day, he came out and power cleaned the driveway area and laundry room. Unfortunately, sewage remains and visible excrement was still visible in the common areas. Tenants of the building were finding remnants everywhere. Forwarded feedback to Robert, and within a few hours his crew was back out to power clean/disinfect our laundry room and common areas again. Went above and beyond, removed the washer and dryer from the laundry room, scrubbed the floors, disinfected everything, and power washed everything. Worked with many vendors, and finding one to do the difficult and unpleasant work like sewage clean up is a challenge. But to find one with the kind of professionalism, work ethic, and personal integrity/commitment to provide the best service, like Ameriflood and owner Robert, is truly rare. Thank you Robert. I am not a fan for a number of reasons. Robert worked on a building I own after we had a roof leak due to tropical storm Hillary. He told me it took way too long for the ceiling to dry out but never recommended another course of action nor an explanation as to why. Worse, he was full of fear tactics about the dangers a mold, even if the mold was beyond the confines of the inside drywall. This did get me doing lots of research on mold and the fear these guys peddle is over the top. The fear seems aimed at getting people to spend lots of money and I find it disreputable. The California Department of Health Website at " https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CCDPHP/DEODC/EHLB/AQS/Pages/Frequently-Asked-Questions-about-Mold.aspx " has some good information. It is important to note that California does not require a license for mold remediation, not does not even consider it a toxic waste. Mold is everywhere thankfully as it is really important in nature. That is not to say you shouldn't work to keep mold from forming inside your house and that you should clean up any mold that does form. Also, drying your place out after a leak is important, but you can rent dehumidifiers (if needed) for far, far less than what these companies charge. What Robert at Ameriflood was amazingly good at was seeking immediate payment after his guys pulled out his dehumidifiers the day after it rained a little again (and presumably leaked again) without even looking for more water. Overall, I just wasn't impressed with what Ameriflood brought to the table and the fear tactics added a lot of stress. read more
