I called Frank in near tears after knowing I was taken advantage of by another "remediation" company that was clearly trying to delay the process and get as much money from me/insurance as they could. I called Frank and he immediately answered, talked through all my concerns, and most importantly gave me peace of mind that he could help. He promptly came by that day, assessed the damage, and got to work shortly after (despite having another job he was handling). He and his team were very knowledgeable and walked me through each step of the process- explaining the damage and how they plan to remediate. He was very transparent with costs and gave me time to decide/ never pressured us at any point in the process. He was fair and honest through the whole thing, and always responsive and courteous. Frank (and his cohort, also named Frank) really helped save my condo from a lot of issues! Highly recommended. My kitchen had been flooded by an upstairs neighbor's water issues with their kitchen faucet. I was super unnerved as this was one of the first personal water damage issues I had to deal with in my life. After interviewing 3 different services and getting the heads-up from colleagues that my time was coming up short before I had to completely re-do my kitchen, I went with FJC & Company. Not only was he to the point but super friendly and empathetic (and nearby)! And he came with several strong reviews. Although perhaps not as well known as some of the others, I felt like I was in good hands, and my intuition served me right. Frank quickly assessed the damages; brought in the right equipment (several huge fans and dehumidifiers); cut open the necessary areas without making everything look like a mess; and used sprays to make sure that the area was not only dry but also clean of mold. Of course, the process is noisy, but I made sure to usually camp out at a nearby Starbucks to work, and my bedroom was far enough away, where the sounds of the fans going all night to help with the drying wasn't too much of an issue and reminded me of sleeping alright on a plane. Frank also had a great recommendation for a contractor to help patch things back up together and was super prompt in responding to all the messaging and carefully explaining the process the whole way through. We contacted FJC about some water and mold remediation due to a plumbing leak. Frank called back and came out that day to assess and advise us. He emailed an estimate that night and was able to start the work early the next week. Frank was an excellent communicator and did exactly what he said he would do and when he said he would do it. He responded right away when we had questions. He even moved our dining room table and chairs back for us once he was finished. We can't say enough about how happy we are to have called Frank. Frank came out on an emergency call we had for a sewer backup that went from the bathroom and into 2 bedrooms on the bottom floor of our home. He was kind, understanding, knew exactly how to proceed, and was INCREDIBLY professional and clean in the work he did with restoring our home back to whole again. It was a multi-week process, but everything was repaired to our satisfaction. I cannot recommend him enough if you have sewer/water damage issues. He even went above and beyond and spoke with the insurance company that was giving us a hard time and provided them with necessary paperwork to ensure that we were paid back what was owed. I've used Frank on a couple occasions. 1) Had a leak that was flooding under the house. Talked me through how to turn off the water until he got there to repair the pipe. 2) Toilet backed up, caused some "not so good" problems under the house. Repaired and did a great job on clean up. 3) Replaced part of the pipe from house to sewer. Pipe shifted over time. Sent a camera down to see exactly where the problem was. We had a leak from our kitchen located upstairs that leaked into our guest  bathroom directly below.  We contacted Frank and he came out right away, inspected everything and checked for mold.  Turns out we had mold! Our pipe sprung a leak and I was very worried about water damage and possible mold. Even worse, we had tenants so I wasn't able to assess the damaged myself. Frank was there to estimate the next day and started work the following day. The best part (and the reason that I'm taking the time to write a review), is that he took pictures and kept me updated. I called FJC&Company to come help me with a leak in my attic from and old copper line. It caused an extreme amount of damage. We had no idea it was leaking tell the ceiling had a big dark stain and paint was bubbling/peeling. Frank from FJC&Co showed up after hours and walked us through the whole process of remediation and the dry out, which was great because i had no idea. 4.5 stars. We had some water damage in our master bathroom ceiling resulting from deteriorated scuppers on our rooftop deck. S&W Waterproofing completed the exterior work to address the root cause, then recommended FJC for the interior remediation (complete dry out/moisture abatement, new insulation, drywall, texture and paint in the damaged area). The team was professional, friendly, highly-communicative and very efficient, with Frank managing the whole process for us from start to finish. This work is not cheap, but the peace of mind knowing that the issue is fully addressed is worth it. The only feedback we shared with Frank (to which he was very receptive) was that there was still a good amount of cleanup necessary in the area after the job was done (small chunks of drywall/debris on top of cabinets/stuck behind light fixtures etc). Hopefully we don't need leak remediation work again anytime soon, but if we do, we're calling FJC. read more
