If I could give zero stars I would. My experience with Coast Abatement has been terrible. My husband and I bought a newly renovated house and during routine inspections, discovered we needed asbestos abatement services. Our real estate agent connected us to Coast Abatement, who came out on December 26, 2023 to clean up asbestos in the crawlspace under our house. Before they came, we confirmed with them several times that the abatement process was limited to the crawlspace only. However, for some reason, Coast Abatement removed the new bathtub from our new bathroom. If you look at the attached photos, you'll see the bathroom when we purchased the house, and the way it looks after Coast Abatement removed our tub. Coast Abatement admitted they made a mistake and told us they would cover the cost of repair to our bathroom. But when we gave them the estimate for repairs, they didn't like the cost and have refused to fully reimburse us for the expense to fix our bathroom. It has been almost a month and we still cannot use our bathtub or shower. It has been really difficult and disappointing for us, especially because we have a six-month-old daughter, and we purchased a home that was ready to move in. I would not recommend Coast Abatement to anyone, because if they make a mistake and damage your property, they will fight you to avoid responsibility. read more

Bullying tactics. Coast remediated asbestos around heating ducts under our house but forgot to seal the vents inside the house , resulting in all the dust and debris (rodent feces ) under the house being blown into the house . Now they (Julio) refuse to give a certificate of abatement until we sign a legal document releasing them of any liability for their mistake . They removed asbestos tile, they left many staples in the walls from their plastic tarps. When they sealed the floor, they got paint on the baseboards and other places, it took lots of time to scrap and clean. I had asbestos abatement done to remove the popcorn ceilings in my condo. The asbestos testing was done by a different company and due to the ceiling being disturbed, a Procedure 5 (P5) plan was required. I then hired Coast Abatement Services to do the abatement. I had several questions regarding a step in the P5 plan. There was some confusion between the two companies regarding this step.
