Coast Abatement was recommended to me by my asbestos testing lab JLM. I really liked that the two coordinated together well and it made my life easier. The technicians who completed the work at my home were meticulous. I have had several other techs in my home since the asbestos abatement was completed and they all have said the space looks great and the work was well done. I received another quote for the abatement work as well, and Coast's quote was much more competitive. I also liked that Kimberly and Samantha always answered the phones, so you knew your requests were being received. One point I think could use work is providing a better time estimate for how long the work and clearance testing would take. If I could give zero stars I would. My experience with Coast Abatement has been terrible. My husband and I bought a newly renovated house and during routine inspections, discovered we needed asbestos abatement services. Our real estate agent connected us to Coast Abatement, who came out on December 26, 2023 to clean up asbestos in the crawlspace under our house. Before they came, we confirmed with them several times that the abatement process was limited to the crawlspace only. However, for some reason, Coast Abatement removed the new bathtub from our new bathroom. If you look at the attached photos, you'll see the bathroom when we purchased the house, and the way it looks after Coast Abatement removed our tub. Coast Abatement admitted they made a mistake and told us they would cover the cost of repair to our bathroom. But when we gave them the estimate for repairs, they didn't like the cost and have refused to fully reimburse us for the expense to fix our bathroom. It has been almost a month and we still cannot use our bathtub or shower. It has been really difficult and disappointing for us, especially because we have a six-month-old daughter, and we purchased a home that was ready to move in. I would not recommend Coast Abatement to anyone, because if they make a mistake and damage your property, they will fight you to avoid responsibility. read more

Bullying tactics. Coast remediated asbestos around heating ducts under our house but forgot to seal the vents inside the house , resulting in all the dust and debris (rodent feces ) under the house being blown into the house . Now they (Julio) refuse to give a certificate of abatement until we sign a legal document releasing them of any liability for their mistake . They removed asbestos tile, they left many staples in the walls from their plastic tarps. When they sealed the floor, they got paint on the baseboards and other places, it took lots of time to scrap and clean. These might seem like minor details but it tells me that they don't take pride in thier work. Room for improvement. read more

They had to do a remediation in my walk-in bedroom closet and removed mold from a large area under my home. They did an amazing job, I and my husband are very pleased. I had asbestos abatement done to remove the popcorn ceilings in my condo. The asbestos testing was done by a different company and due to the ceiling being disturbed, a Procedure 5 (P5) plan was required. I then hired Coast Abatement Services to do the abatement. I had several questions regarding a step in the P5 plan. There was some confusion between the two companies regarding this step. Coast Abatement Services went the extra mile to contact the other company as well as the AQMD to clarify my questions. When I received the P5 plan from the testing company, it was overwhelming.
