They took money out of my account that I did not authorize. I have been with them for years and never missed a payment. My payment was a few days late this month and because of this they not only took out my payment but they took out enough to give me a credit balance. I do not have an Amerigas account. I tried to establish one, but they claimed my address already had an account. The previous owner of my home had an account, which she closed in April, 2019. Amerigas came to the home on the day we closed, and filled the LPG tanks, inspected the tanks, and were notified we'd purchased the home and needed a new account. In September, Amerigas came onto my property and capped off/locked two tanks, one of which they own (had been leased to previous owner), and capped a tank owned by the home. LET ME REITERATE. AMERIGAS BROKE INTO A LOCKED GATE, ON WHICH THERE IS A "NO-TRESPASSING SIGN", AND LOCKED OFF LPG TANKS THEY DO NOT OWN OR LEASE. In any realistic world, this would be breaking and entering, with theft as an add-on. They did not notify us that they were coming, and did not notify us that they'd been. They *broke* through a locked gate, marked "NO TRESPASSING" in order to do so. Then, they wanted a $150.00 inspection fee, wanted to charge us for the gas in the tank that the previous owner paid for, and want another $250 to uncap the tank that is privately owned (same tank they capped without permission). When we threatened them with legal action and going to the BBB, they said "We don't want to do business with you, so 'eff off. " Now we are stuck with locked tanks, can't feed our stove, fireplace, nor spa and it's 30 degrees outside. These are horrible people. I feel the local manager, Mr. Najarian, is a racist, foul-mouthed pig, on top of being a liar having made multiple claims about the previous owner of our home not having paid her bills (she sent us a copy of the closed account/paid balances), that the tanks were unsafe (Amerigas inspected the tanks when we took ownership), and that the previous owner had not transferred the fuel to us (the previous owner had written a letter Xferring the fuel). Strap in folks because their incompetence knows no bounds. On November 29 I called to order propane for my tank in my new home. I paid $321 upfront for everything, which was supposed to be delivered the following week December 2. It was not delivered. instead an inspector showed up and said "oh no I'm just the inspector, but I have 30 gallons in my truck that I can give you, (which wasn't even half of what I paid for.) "We will reschedule you for next week." I waited nobody showed up. After many phone calls of me complaining I finally got my delivery on the 21st. Shortly after that I received a check for $321 I figured that was very nice of them to give me a refund for the nightmare service I received. Nope, Not long after that I receive a bill for $495... I called and said "there's been a mistake I paid everything upfront I don't owe you anything." She says "we sent you $321 refund." I said "oh, I thought that was damage control for the horrible service." She said no that's because we didn't have you scheduled on the books for delivery." So apparently the $321 that I paid to an Amerigas sales representative wasn't scheduled as a delivery and they sent it back. I literally LOL'd and said there's a great song by John Lennon called "instant Karma." And since she was obviously Indian we both had a good laugh. Purchased a tank from one of the refillable tank exchange location over the weekend. The tank will not open. In order to replace the tank, I have to go to their location across town during MY work hours to exchange it???? What???? I think I'll purchase from Blue Rhino in the future. I called three weeks ago to schedule an appointment for a propane gas line inspection and a delivery to fill a 500 gallon tank for my heater. The appointment was for last week, they gave me a four hour timeframe. I waited and waited and waited, I called twice. The first time I was told they were on their way. After the four hours have passed and no one had showed up I called again. They told me that they couldn't guarantee that anyone would show up. I had asked for a phone call confirmation that someone was on their way which I never got. That was seven days ago, every day I've been attempting to call but only get an automated system telling me that the gas will be delivered by the end of the day. I called today and they are still saying that the gas will be delivered at the end of the day today. After being on hold for an 1hr 15m. I finally reached a live person and I wanted to confirm tomorrow's appointment that was rescheduled last week. No one can confirm that a service and a delivery will include occur tomorrow. This property is 75 miles from home one-way, and it is cold in the mountains. My big mistake was when I placed the order I paid in advance. I asked someone call me before 5 PM today so I do not go up for nothing tomorrow for the second time. I've asked this in the past and I've never received any phone calls. I will go to my bank tomorrow and have them get a refund from this company for me. I doubt very much that I will ever get my money back if I try to do it through this company. I could give NO stars, that is what this company deserves. Oh by the way, when you're down to Las Vegas local phone number, you are redirected to Ohio, Florida and one other state that I can't remember, and at one time I was redirected to India. It is beyond my understanding why are American companies are outsourcing, losing jobs for Americans and not being penalized in forms of additional taxes or whatever, I do not care anymore. Terrible customer service. Zero stars. Missed delivery because of locked gate. I was promised a text the night before next delivery. Did not happen. I emailed corporate and they promised delivery the next day. Did not happen. I called their call center and was promised delivery the next day. Did not happen. My tank is at 5%. If you want broken promises and an empty tank use Amerigas. I will be cancelling my account, setting their rental tank in the street, and hiring a local company to handle my propane needs. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR RESIDENTIAL SERVICE. First of all after purchasing my home I called to put the account in my name. After speaking with the representative on the phone he transferred the service to my name and then said I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR TURNING ON THE TANK. I didn't know what to think but agreed. Later that day I turned on the tank and realized we had a major gas leak. I called the emergency number and they sent someone to fix it. They did not get done fixing the issue until 12am. The tech that they sent was awesome and made sure everything was safe after that. However, no one explained to me what I needed to do when it was time to order more propane. Well when we got to the 40% mark I decided to place the order. Come to find out they allow 7-10 business days before they can make the delivery. After waiting over a week and hearing nothing I decided to call them. I attempted to get ahold of them for 6 HOURS. The line kept hanging up on me after I had been on hold for an hour. After finally speaking to someone and explaining my frustration he said you are scheduled to be delivered today. Well my husband was home all day and no one showed. I called them again today and was told they missed the delivery. They could provide no explanation on why. She then said well we are going to "try to make it possible" for them to deliver today. At this point I am almost completely out of propane which controls my heat, stove, fireplace, and water. This is completely unacceptable. On top of all this I have ALREADY PAID THEM! read more
