Thank you Brandon for taking out my smart meter and putting in my requested digital meter. I will now pay a very small fee each month to have my meter read by a meter reader. I am now considered an opt out customer. This was a very big decision for me to choose to have my smart meter removed and replaced with a digital meter. This meter will read for both gas and electricity. Brandon was outstanding at his job and I enjoyed talking with him, he has been with NV energy for 14 years. The install took around 20 minutes and I am really happy for the digital meter as a NV Energy new opt out customer. Thanks to NV Energy & Brandon S for great service. This is my first home and I chose this meter for accurate account of what gas & electricity I use daily. I look forward to see if my NV Energy digital meter charges, are better compared to the Smart Meter charges. Time will tell. Julie A

Unfortunately, my experience with the billing and account-management side has been a very different story. I'm currently trying to update my automatic payment information to a new checking account. I have no bill currently due, and Southwest Gas says that payment information can be edited online through the Auto Pay section. However, when I go there, there is no option to edit or remove the existing account. I was able to add my new checking account, but I cannot delete the old one. I'm doing my part to make sure my bills are paid on time. Southwest Gas should do its part by making sure its online payment system actually allows customers to manage their payment information. This is especially frustrating because it follows several other billing and account-management problems. For four years, I received not one but two paper bills for the same account, despite calling and asking that the duplicate billing be stopped. Then, more recently, a bill for my current address was sent to my old address, where I haven't lived for five years. The person who now lives there actually contacted me about it. Southwest Gas attributed this to a Post Office error, although I have not experienced this problem with any other company. Taken together, these experiences make Southwest Gas seem like it is not a well-oiled machine when it comes to account management, billing, and paperwork. The people who come out to provide gas service have been excellent, but the administrative side of the company needs some serious attention.

When it came time to sell my Las Vegas home and purchase another home in Las Vegas, I set up a "transfer" from one home to the other. Apparently, the stop order was fine but the start order wasn't recorded "in their system" at least that's what I was told by SW Gas customer service. Apparently, the seller of the new house put a stop order on "MY NEW HOUSE" on August 11th (5 days after we officially closed on the property) and SW Gas left the gas on for 29 days (their official policy is 30 days). Since I transferred service, I assume everything is cool. On September 9th my gas shuts off while I'm cooking breakfast. No notice sent to my address, no email, no phone call, no note left on the door, no knock on the door, no doorbell...just snuck on the property and quietly shuts off the gas and puts a lock on the meter. And the kicker is, they cannot send someone out for two days to turn the gas back on. I offered to pay for a service call including overtime, whatever it takes, but no, they cannot accommodate a simple same day, or next day restoration of gas service. Every other utility transfer from our old house to the new house was seemless. So, to Southwest Gas, continue to enjoy your monopoly and lousy customer service over us in Las Vegas.

Remember to "do" anything at the DMV you need an appointment. You can make this said appointment on line or in person. Today we are coming to this place to get a drivers license. As time passes our children grow into adulthood and we take baby steps to let them get out into the world. Here we go again with the driver's license test. As you walk in the building the new system the DMV has incorporated works. Having an appointment ensures accurate service most of the time. For those going for the permit they offer a wonderful space that is enclosed for concentrating. The testing room is all computerized. It's a multiple choice test that you truly have to study for. The state of Nevada is one of the hardest places to get your license. The state has no room for failure. Study study study for the written test and the driving portion. If at first you don't succeed, try and keep trying. Never give up. When Connor, did not pass the driving instructor was very compassionate about educating him on what he did wrong. They want drivings that are going to follow the traffic laws and be great citizens at driving. Come prepared and make sure your car is ready and safe for the road test. Make sure and have an appointment and be patient . Let's do the DMV!

Worst company I have ever had to deal with. From the very beginning, it was a complete mess…read more I called to set up an appointment, and the guy never showed up. He finally came the next day, still late. I was told he would arrive between 2:30-3:00, but by 5:00 I had to call because I honestly thought he had forgotten. Then, only a week after I had received my water, I was notified they were coming the next day to deliver more. Hello? I JUST received the water a week ago! Obviously, I didn't need another delivery, so I canceled the service. Then they charged me a $7 service fee. I called to explain that I hadn't even received a pickup or delivery, and was basically told, "That's the fee we charge." And to make matters worse, after the first delivery, when I had already paid the delivery driver in cash, I received another call the next day asking for payment and saying someone would be there at noon. Seriously?! To top it all off, the representative I spoke with was rude and had a terrible attitude. When you're already frustrated with a company, the last thing you need is someone making the situation even worse. And honestly, the water wasn't even good! It tasted like nasty Vegas tap water. Definitely not what I expected. The communication is terrible, the scheduling is a disaster, the billing makes no sense, and the product wasn't worth it. I canceled my service today. While I wasn't in a rush, this could be frustrating for those with limited time. Additionally, I had to carry my own tanks after parking, whereas the truck before me was able to be closer to the fill up station and no need to carry anything. This review is based solely on this experience. They also wrote the amount of propane after he cleared the counter which I can't remember what the actual amount was and it got me thinking if I was actually charge correctly: Just the whole experience was off. On a good note they do have candy inside when you pay and credit is available option.
