this so called propane supplier just stop deliveries. Each of over 25 phone calls to them resulted in 25 promises of delivery but no actual deliveries. They lie. We finally had to find a local company to install thier own tanks and get us propane after 8 frustrating days of Al ost totally running out. Avoid them at all costs. Absolutely NO customer service AND they stole my money. I cancelled my service and was told it would be $300 for them to come pick-up THEIR tanks (which my new propane company had placed on the lawn to make pick-up easy) and was told it would be a $299.99 "pick up charge" as well as a service dispatch fee of $119.99 for them to come get THEIR property. I had 148.8 gallons of propane in the tanks that I obviously had already paid for, to the tune of $639.84. They stole my money in order to pay their fees for their equipment. This company is run by thieves. Recommend that no one do business with them. They are not honest. If I could give ZERO stars I certainly would. read more

I do not recommend this company, I called to have a refill on my propane. I paid in advance, and was told that there was a 10 day window that the delivery would happen. This was a Saturday. I called on the following Monday, and asked when the delivery was to happen. I was told it would be delivered on Wednesday. This was the day before Thanksgiving. Wednesday rolled around, no delivery. Called customer service, they said that they did not give me a delivery date, they never would. But for $300 more dollars, they could do an emergency delivery, and it would come in 24 hours. We canceled Thanksgiving for fear we would run out mid prep. We are now day 10, and they said this would be the latest delivery date. And as luck would have it, no delivery. Called customer service, got a nice gentleman named Pablo, he said that it was supposed to be delivered today. I told him that it was not delivered. He apologized. I then asked to cancel my delivery. If you cannot deliver product in 10 days, you have a major problem within the whole company. I am done, and will go with a local service. Do not put any trust in this company. read more

America's has been a no show to 3 service appts in a row without notice. Appts that I'm required to be home for. This is the last straw, do yourself a favor and find a new company. read more

Wish I could select ZERO STARS. We were propane customers with Amerigas for 3 years. Do NOT do business with Amerigas--choose a local company. Amerigas no longer has any local offices in Maine, so when you have a serious issue, you're at the mercy of out-of-state customer service reps who can do little, if anything, to help you. (Reps were professional and courteous, but not helpful.) Two winters in a row, we were left high and dry during a particularly cold period with temps consistently below 0, as Amerigas apparently didn't have enough drivers. When our regular delivery did not occur on time, I had to call multiple times daily to request an emergency delivery, which did not come for over a week. We had to turn the thermostat very low to conserve propane and nearly ran out- with no backup heat source. I waited til our contract ran out (that's another story) & immediately changed to a local company & I'm so relieved. No idea how long before Amerigas will come collect their tanks, but I'm happy to be done with them. read more

Horrible company! Taking a vantage of people during a pandemic that are struggling to pay bills! We order propane and you tell us it's going to take up to two weeks (during the winter) and if we want it sooner it's gonna be $200 fee, horrible company! Especially when we have elderly parents living with us and one just had cancer surgery! And my husband is a disabled veteran!) You don't give a shit about your customers! Over the last two years they have become the most horrible company to get propane from. When you call there number you get people who you can not understand and all they do is lie to you about deliveries. If you call on Monday they will tell you a delivery is going to happen on Tuesday, If you call back on Wednesday because you did not get the delivery they will tell you Thursday when they know you will never get a delivery. I think the new company policy to just let customers run out of gas. Glad I was able to call a local company here in Maine and they switched out the tanks yesterday and they have a five star rating. They went out of there way to help us as a big snow storm is coming on Sunday and the temps have been around 0 or below. If you heat your house with propane do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE AMERIGAS AS THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. read more

I was going to go with this company for my propane however bad service for one. I setup an online account and needed to switch tanks and they said someone will call in 3-5 days I also asked for it to be expedited because I was running out of propane and didn't want to reorder from current company. Well no one called so I called back they gave me an appointment for another week away . So I called again and was told someone from the local office would call in 24 hrs again after 48 hrs no call. So I call back and they tell me that if no time is available for it to be expedited they don't call you , so I told them to cancel my account. Apparently 3 days after the scheduled appointment they show up no knock at the door and I even have a doorbell they send me a voicemail and then a text that says your site survey is complete! But then I find a tag on my door saying scheduled appointment but please call to reschedule. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone. Wish I could go less than 1. The most deceitful company I have ever dealt with. Total lies just to get you off the phone. I had a site review done and told them that I needed new tanks for a generator set up. Well I ended up taking a week off due to the promises of them being there for a delivery. First I was told Monday, guess what a holiday!. Called back Tuesday and was promised Wednesday between 11AM-11:30AM , when I called at 12:30 i was told truck in route, driveways were icy but again a no-show. I was then told Friday when the generator company was going install the unit...again a no show! When you call the 800 service number you might be on hold for 1/2-1 hour, You might even get disconnected to make you go away. I was then told Thursday...you guessed it a no show again. I wrote an email to a service rep only to have her respond 15 days later and offered me a token $50.00 credit for taken 4 days off without pay AND having to pay for the generator installer to come back once I do get propane form another company. I hope that you do not even waste your time with this outfit as all it is going to do is frustrate you with no recourse. Good luck read more

Amerigas offers several payment plans that work for our budget. We appreciate the monthly payment plan, as it helps us to plan in advance for the upcoming year. The deliveries are always timely and we don't ever have to worry about the refill of our tanks, as they do so automatically. read more

My husband and I have been customers of Amerigas for several years now. We initially had them connect a gas fireplace and that went so well, when we replaced our kitchen stove we chose gas. They've always been available and great to deal with. read more
