Yet again, my 83 year old grandmother is dealing with an EMPTY tank despite having automatic deliveries scheduled. She was due for a refill on the 19th. It's the 27th. She is out of gas -- which covers her home heating, oven, and water heater -- just in time for sub-freezing temperatures. We've made multiple calls to your call center and were assured someone would be there this morning to refill her. It's 4:30pm and she's still on empty. This is the THIRD TIME you've missed scheduled refills and she has run out. You are putting the life of an 80+ year old woman in danger -- no heat, no hot water, and no way to cook food because you're EIGHT DAYS LATE on a scheduled service. You are a JOKE and honestly only have customers because there are no other local providers. Don't worry -- after this debacle, I'm getting everything replaced to electric so that she never has to depend on your negligent, ignorant company again. read more

-0 stars if I could. They quoted me a price after running my credit to open new account. They filled 2x 1,000 gallon tanks & charged a different amount than quoted. The call center just repeats that you owe it & that you will be sent to collections if you don't pay. It's criminal. They said it was the previous price quoted from years ago - I did not have gas years ago & am a new account - they did not care - just repeated same thing. No supervisor available. When asked for name they hang up or boot you back to the beginning of the line & you start over. read more

Well, it is the same every time. If it wasn't for their delivery associates, I would have requested them to pick up my rented tank and I would have pursued another gas company a long time ago. This time I wasted too much time on the phone speaking with three different customer service people from Kenya. Each time requesting to speak to a supervisor that never happened. When my delivery person showed up (J. Pickett) she went over and above to fix my problem and kept me from terminating this service. My experience with America gas was great until now, I called for propane around the last week of July and was told I would have delivery between the 4th and 7th of August I had to canceled all my appointments for that week and I stayed home the whole week only to find out that nobody showed up, and nobody called to changed my appointment I told them they could here anyday but Wednesday still no call or show, when I called America gas the next week they said something must of come up and I've should of got a call no I did not get a call so I told them to cancel my contract and they said they wanted $299.00 to come and get there tank, I already paid 1 year rental so I asked about my money for half that I paid them mine starts in May every year still they never answer my question about that, they are waiting for my rental to expire so they can get more money from me that's my opinion, I have been with them over 20 years and I will never recommend them I think they are waiting till next year and when they get no money they will turn me in to collections, it used to be your zip code is when there in your neighborhood and I never had a problem with that because it was on a Thursday so I had to reschedule all my appointments because they lied to me when they were surpose to be here shame on America gas, that is not good customer service and stop using the window treatment like you said that's the new method you are using so, people check all reviews before you go with America gas, and the prices are so high watch your wallet read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. Just purchased a house that had tanks for the stove/oven, called them to have the tanks turned on and had to wait a week just for that. The next day after having tanks turned on they call and say they no longer service my tanks and would be taking them. So they show up friday afternoon unannounced and take the tanks and are trying to charge me $450. You will be hearing from an Attorney for this scam and trespassing on monday. read more

Price gouging is a pejorative term used to refer to the practice of increasing the prices of goods, services, or commodities to a level much higher than is considered reasonable or fair by some. This commonly applies to price increases of basic necessities after natural disasters. I called to get my generator propane tank refilled, they told me 7 to 10 days, OR, for an extra $300 they will put me on a "priority" list. THIS IS ILLEGAL. ILLEGAL. ILLEGAL. Terrible service. I placed an order, paid for the gas, but it hasn't been delivered in the time frame given. The only people I can speak to are customer service representatives in India. I have no word from Amerigas about delivery time and we are now completely out of gas. I do not recommend this company at all. read more

As reported earlier, Florida Public Utilities transferred my account to Amerigas in another persons name (Mark Caninch AKA Mark Allen) without my authorization then stole the gas that was in the 250 and 60 gallon tanks recently filled by Florida Public Utilities. FPU is part of the problem in that they allowed Amerigas to transfer the account without my authorization. I will be alerting potential FPU customers to the possibility of FPU transferring their accounts without authorization in a separate YELP review on FPU. After dealing with four propane suppliers since 1988, I no longer have confidence that any of them will treat their customers honestly because a large part of their income is reinstalling propane systems based on alleged violations they will not document. I also believe that some or all of these companies do not report all the income from these reinstallation's. I recommend you shift to electrical energy, it is cheaper, safer, and you will not have to deal with con artists that get a commission to tell you that your system needs expensive upgrades that are not required. One might consider how Amerigas stays in business with so many complaints and bad reviews on their service. it might be interesting to know where their their income is coming from. There will likely never be an investigation because the federal government would rather let folks launder money as long as they are paying taxes on the infusion of dirty money. Problem being that the laundered money may be going to support terrorism and illegal drug traffic at home and abroad. Here are the related messages sent to Blossman. He stated that "the entire system must be replaced". Amerigas recently (within the past two years) reassigned my Florida Public Utilities Gas account to an unknown person without my consent as the owner of the afore mentioned property. I view Amerigas action as a violation of Florida statutes and intend to see that Amerigas is prosecuted and/or their license suspended as Florida statutes and license commitments permits. Your technician who arrived at my residence, on this date, at approximately 10AM EST refused to document the violations of NFPA and other recognized standards he verbally cited on an invoice or other Blossman Gas official document. He also stated that Blossman Gas has no responsibility to report the numerous violations he discovered to the Florida licensing authority. I have not completed the research to date, but I believe that Blossman Gas has a license requirement to report the violations that existed when Amerigas installed their tank. Regardless, I will expect a written report of each individual violation and the bases in code, ordnance or other controlling document, identified by your service technician today, March 26 2021, forthwith. If after, five working days, I have not received a full written report of the violations allegedly detected by your representative, I will so note the refusal to cooperate in my complaint regarding Amerigas to the States Attorney, FL Licensing authority, FL Attorney General and other appropriate regulatory organizations. I will also consider filing a civil suit based on the endangerment to myself and my property created by Amerigas and further existing due to Blossman Gas refusal to report these violations to their Florida state licensing authority. Amerigas has quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever encountered. We ordered and paid to have our propane tank refilled nearly two weeks ago. Today is three days past the latest date they said the truck would be out to fill our tank. I have been on the phone to their customer service center no less than 5 times... we can't cook without gas, and don't want to run out. They have outsourced all customer service calls to a center in India. There is absolutely no way to reach a local agency. You are no longer permitted to do business at their physical location, either; it's all done via online or phone call. I have been promised a delivery no less than 4 times and yet no truck has appeared. I will be terminating my account with Amerigas very shortly, and would encourage people not to subject themselves to their crappy services. read more

So yet another day disappointed with Amerigas in Ocala. Was told by Paatti before the storm was removed from automatic refill.(only after I called to find out when they were bringing propane) never told me they removed me. She told me they would get to me after the storm when they could maybe Friday. Been calling every day to give them thank information as they told me to do. Now the poor Tennessee office is covering for Ocala and now tell me it will be another week. To say I am disappointed with Amerigas is an understatement. This company should be ashamed of their customer service and management of this office. I am sure the fact that I have been with them 10 years and every payment I make bounces is a huge factor. I understand hurricane blah blah blah, but this ball was rolling before the storm by changing a procedure which has been in place for me for 5 years, and not notifying me... they came last year before Matthew. Now in sure little nobody me has no impact on a huge company like Amerigas. But I can tell my Facebook friends about it. We have dealt with Amerigas for the last 15 years and have never had a problem. The local offices (used to be Eustis, now Ocala) have always been courteous and helpful. Keep up the good work!! read more
