We kept receiving "delivery attempt" notices in our mailbox that didn't list a company name, delivery carrier, or any identifying information, just a phone number. It made it seem like we had missed an important delivery, but it turned out to be a sales tactic for their company. I had no idea the notices were from this company until I looked them up on Yelp and found multiple reviews from other people describing the exact same experience. On top of that, a sales representative came to our house and rang our doorbell even though we have a clearly visible "No Soliciting" sign posted right next to the door. Ignoring a homeowner's posted request is disrespectful and immediately left a negative impression. Using vague notices that appear to be missed delivery slips, along with ignoring "No Soliciting" signs, is not a marketing approach that builds trust. We value our privacy and expect companies to respect homeowners' boundaries. I hope they reconsider their marketing practices and choose a more honest and respectful way to reach potential customers. Today, Tuesday, March 31, I received a call from Ameritech Industries stating that my water filter was going to be inspected. They arrived, I opened the door, and the person spent less than 15 minutes--probably under 10 minutes--doing something to the filters. Immediately after that, they tried to charge me $200, even though I never authorized or requested this inspection. I also want to emphasize that the filter was installed at my address without city permits. I am being charged for something that was illegally installed at my property. And now, on top of everything, they want to charge me $200 for less than 10 minutes of work to "inspect" a filter that has been installed for less than a year. This company is a complete disaster and is engaging in dishonest practices. I am going to file a lawsuit. I am also contacting the financing company, because the filter they installed--not only without permits--costs over $10,000. This is a scam. read more

Contacted this company last week, spoke with Luis who had us text him regarding the new service we needed and as of today no one called us back, sent text message, still nothing, horrible customer service, stay away! They didn't even deserve the one star that I had to give in order to post this review. RESPONSE TO JOHN P: We were referred by the manufacturer for your company as a vendor for Puronics. We spoke with Luis on 3/4/26 at 11am and he stated he would contact us that day or the next business day. Then on 3/5/26 at 5pm we sent Luis a message asking "Hi we never heard back are you guys able to help?" No response until today at 4:47pm after this review was posted and your services were no longer needed. We found a more competent company that was more reliable and had better communication. No one offered to assist us only asked for product details. We sent pictures and contact details and never received a response. There was no transparent communication the conversation was very short, the customer service rep stated that he needed to gather details first before he could offer services. I would like to share a concerning experience I had with a representative named Taylor who came to my home in the Orcutt/Santa Maria area. Earlier that day, our local water company had delivered a notice regarding future service-related matters. When Taylor arrived later, she introduced herself in a way that led me to believe she was affiliated with the water company. She stated that she needed to test our water and referenced water pipes and water quality concerns. Because of how the visit was presented, I believed it was related to our water service and not a sales call. When she asked about testing the water, I directed her to the outdoor tap. I assumed she would test the water outside and be on her way. Instead, she told me that she needed to come inside the house. I immediately felt a little uncomfortable and hesitant, but because my husband was home, I allowed her inside. Once inside, she tested the water in our kitchen and presented information about the water quality. While I understand that companies market products and services, what bothered me was that she initially made it seem as though she was not there to sell anything. She stated that it was not a sales presentation and that she was simply there to discuss our water. However, it quickly became obvious that the purpose of the visit was to sell a water treatment system. The sales presentation was lengthy, aggressive, and difficult to end. I am a parent of young children, and throughout the visit I was actively caring for my child. Rather than understanding that my attention needed to be focused on my family, she appeared frustrated whenever I stepped away or focused on my child. She made comments implying that I needed to come back to the kitchen and continue participating in the discussion. What I found especially unnecessary was that my husband was present and available to listen. There was no reason for me to leave my child repeatedly to sit through a sales presentation that I was already uncomfortable with. I felt that my time and responsibilities as a parent were being disregarded. As the presentation continued, she began promoting numerous "free" items, including soap, detergent, and filtration equipment. She repeatedly emphasized how much money these products were supposedly worth and how much value we would be receiving. However, shortly afterward she began asking questions about our credit and discussing financing options. If something is truly free, why would a credit check or financing be necessary? The messaging felt misleading and raised additional concerns. At one point, she stated that we only had a limited amount of time to make a decision. This felt like a pressure tactic rather than an opportunity to make an informed choice. We quickly told her that we were not interested. The comment that bothered me the most came after we declined the offer. She responded in a way that suggested we did not care about our health. I found that statement rude, unprofessional, and completely inappropriate. Choosing not to purchase a product does not mean someone does not care about their family's health. After the visit, I researched the company online and found numerous reviews describing experiences that were remarkably similar to mine. Many people reported feeling misled about the purpose of the visit, pressured into lengthy sales presentations, and subjected to aggressive sales tactics. After reading those reviews, I felt validated because they closely reflected my own experience. My biggest concern is for elderly and vulnerable residents in our community. Someone who believes they are speaking with a representative connected to their water company may be more likely to allow a salesperson into their home and listen to a presentation they otherwise would have declined. I worry that some individuals may feel pressured into making expensive decisions without fully understanding what they are agreeing to. I have no issue with legitimate sales representatives who are honest and transparent about who they are and why they are visiting. However, I strongly object to sales tactics that create the impression of being affiliated with a utility company, minimize the fact that the visit is a sales presentation, and then rely on pressure and guilt when a customer declines. When I bought my house a guy came to the door and asked if he can test the water..we agreed he told us about the program for the water system and left a lot of information out. He did not say we had to get filters and we would have to pay he got us through a finance company with a high interest rate. The system does not work it melted outside it has been 6 years I am still paying for it and still owe 2,347 the loan was 7,000. California law they were not to go over the interest of the law. I will be contacting a lawyer for this problem but never go through these people it is a scam. read more

Jeff from Ameritek has been excellent and explains what unfiltered water is compared to the benefits of having filtered water. He demonstrated unfiltered water and the minerals in them and how filtered water helps us save time and money with how little we need to use compared to unfiltered water. They provided plenty of incentive to help us be assured that we are getting an excellent value for our money. We had a small issue when they installed the water filter below the sink. The fridge's water/ice dispenser stopped working after they did the install but once we brought up that issue, Jeff had his technicians come in and quickly repair that issue! We have had our system going on 3 months now, and have no complaints. The under the sink water purification is amazing and quite the hit with quick fill up spigot. Spending less time going over the dishes after the dishwasher has been ran. No hard water stains in the shower. Calcification that is usually on the shower head and sink heads is gone. The extra spigot in the garage for vehicle washing is great too no more hard water spots on the vehicles after wash. My husband and I are new homeowners and we had someone knock on our door offering to test our water. We set up an appointment and had Jeff come show us how TERRIBLE our water was. We were very surprised with all the materials found in our "filtered" water. Avoid this company at all cost. I bought a filter system from them in 2017 (worse mistake ever). On my original review I left back then I explained the reason why they are a nightmare of a company. In a nut shell, they are shady company with some questionable tactics, have no pricing on their website because they try to rip you off for as much as they can. They started me with a quote of over 12k and because I kept saying no its too much, they lowered it all the way down to 6.5k which was a horrible deal. Fast forward to 7 years later and I'm still dealing with their nonsense. Anytime I need to replace my filters they charge $200 just for them to do it. You can't speak to anyone, they send you to voicemail and their maintenance person is rude as hell. They force you to get the service through them and can't even buy their filters to do it your self. Took forever to get ahold of someone emails and calls weren't being answered when we finally got someone to run a service the guy was trying to hook me for almost 2grand because the unit hadn't been serviced in a set amount of time and that's what it would cost. Mind you he hadn't even touched the filter at all. Just going based on the information I gave him. I told him to do the service I initially called for which is $200 filter replacement he insisted that it wouldn't resolve the Issue. I asked you giving me a price without inspecting the product makes no sense. He changed the filter and my unit is back to normal. We had this company come test our water at the house and the results Gary MacDonald showed us was quite amazing! We bought the whole house system and have been SUPER happy with the taste of our water and the feel of the soft water. We no longer have issues with our hard water in the vaporizer, tea pot and other appliances. We absolutely love the free soap products we get as well. We order different scents each time. I no longer buy dish detergent, cleaning sprays, hand soap, face wash, laundry detergent, etc.. It has saved me time and money shopping. And it IS FREE. So she is the reason for our decision, secondly scheduling an in home water test by provided by Gary MacDonnell he is the other reason why I decided to go with Ameritek. He like Janice are very business professional, and it starts with them being very good listeners. After hearing our needs, they consultative sold me and solved our problems. Gary demonstrated and proved to show the poor quality water we have. As well educated us on the overall cost savings of cleaning products. In fact as part of the closing they provided us with high quality concentrated Pure & Gentle cleaning products ( just add water) now we have clean zero to minimal TDL count. So, I have had my system since 2020, and have never had an issue getting scheduled or a response from Luis. That is until now! The last time I needed my annual check-up I had to call Luis 4 times to get him to schedule to come out, by then my system was well overdue for service. Not acceptable. NOW, my unit is making a very loud noise when I turn on any sink in the house, and I am not sure of the cause, but regardless I someone to check it out immediately. This is now day 2 of waiting for a reply to get scheduled! He failed to tell me some very important details especially on how to avoid the pipes busting during a major freeze. We are new to Temecula and bought our home in October 2021. We've discovered the water here are hard and noticed how our skins were very dry and peeling. We've been to homes with water softener systems and how much of a difference it made. I went to Home Depot to shop and was approached by Janice sensing I needed help. It was about carpet but because her friendliness, our conversation eventually led to water softener systems. Janice set up an appointment for a consult at our home. Gary MacDonnell came out and did a walkthrough/demo with my husband and did a wonderful job explaining to us what the pros and cons are with having it and not having it. He gave us a quote in November and when we were ready come March 2022, our quote was honored. Leo did our installation with no issues and it was seamless. He answered questions and concerns we had. I was actually VERY interested in this water system before Bruce came to our house (after a month of living here, we all already knew our water was bad), and now, we will likely be going with a different company. The scare tactics (just a few examples of things Bruce said: "you're going to bathe your children in this water?" "I feel bad for you." "This is the worst water I've seen in years... This water is toxic."), deceptive numbers presented (system costs $9,990, finance for 180 months at $114/month. He compared $114 with $140 as an estimate of what we pay for household cleaning products. Thus, the system is "free" with an attitude of "how stupid can you be not to see that." First, $114 x 180 is $20,520, which is insane amount of money for a water system. Second, you only get the cleaning products for 5 years and you'll be paying for the system for 15 years), sexism (he asked to speak with my husband at least 20 times and didn't once ask my husband to speak with me), and pressure to make a decision ("This price is only good while I'm here. As soon as I walk at the door it's gone.") were deplorable. Bruce left our house about 2 hours ago, and I feel like I need to take a shower (in our "toxic" water) to get the filth of that sales pitch experience off of me. read more
