**updated to two stars since corporate called me to not only apologize but also make it crystal clear the AG Bowling shop is not under AMF and is a 3rd party vendor under their roof. Still would not recommend as no one inherently knows they're not the same thing. AG Bowling and their treatment of customers is a direct reflection of AMF being under the same roof. AMF, raise your customer service standards and hold everyone accountable. You do not get a free pass for being a 3rd party vendor. We've been going here for 3 years. Today is our last day coming. Specifically because of the rude, bald man in the ball shop. He lacks basic human communication skills, he has ZERO customer service training and he acts like he has to spit shine the balls himself. My husband's ball was absolutely destroyed by the ball return on lane 10 today. I went to the front to complain, which I NEVER do, but this has never happened to us. I told her that I wanted to bring it to their attention, as well as check if they offer some sort of polishing service. Not for free, not comped, just a service offered, period. I was going to pay to have my husbands ball polished. The woman was beyond kind, took me seriously, apologized and then brought me over to the little ball office where the bald man works. As soon as the woman explained what happened, he immediately denied it happened and accused me of lying. He said the scratch marks were old cause they were black. The ball kept returning to us blacker and blacker and my husband kept having to clean his ball between throws. This polishing act obviously will make the grease fill the new scratch marks. That's when we started to notice more. It ended up getting stuck for the third and final time. It came back with 7 new scratches and a glob of like tar or oil. At this point we knew it was the ball return doing this and not us just noticing old scratch marks. It was absolutely asinine that this rude bald man said we made it up. We didn't make anything up, we're normal people who like to bowl. I explained this and he said "well why didn't you bring it as soon as you noticed?" We did... that's what this conversation is. If I brought it with 1 scratch mark, you'd deny it and call me a liar. If I came with more, like I am now, you'll deny it and call me a liar. It's obvious it's your equipment. Ironically my husband bought all 3 of his balls from this rude bald man. All we wanted was acknowledgement that it happened, and to polish the ball. Again, not for free. This entire negative interaction was completely unnecessary and unwarranted. Let's practice for next time: "Hey I'm sorry that happened. I'll gladly take it, it just might take 2 weeks due to the damage. It costs x amount. Next time, if you happen to notice earlier, bring it to us asap, so it doesn't get worse." Super easy, but you'd have to have the brain cells and the capacity to do so, right? This guy is a Neanderthal and could never. He was rude, reluctant, abrasive, defensive and condescending. He shouldn't work with people, or interact with the public in any capacity for that matter. I wouldn't recommend this shop in any capacity, and I wouldn't interact with this rude bald man if I had a gun to my head. If you decide to bowl here, use their balls and let those get ruined without responsibility or care. read more

It was a fun time with our party of 9 across two lanes. We played two games. It was a little rough at times since the balls didn't want to return twice during that time. We also got some of their large alcoholic drinks to share which were pretty sweet. It would've been nice to have more options, but I think they only had two specialities for the share size. read more

My ball was destroyed today by the lane machine. Specifically lane 10, it's like it's lined with knives. Slashes all over in addition to patches of oil. The Latin guy that works in the ball office is garbage. He lacks professionalism, courtesy and tact. He was incredibly rude and unwilling to help. Next time, as expected by the ball guy, I'll focus on the alley equipment and making sure it's not destroying my property versus the 3 games I paid $55 for. I'll also make sure to physically enter the ball return machine and solve my own problem. read more

Great alley to chill. Not the best alley in South Florida but if you're looking to just bowl and go home. It's a definite recommendation. Also staff is great, Nicole is great with everything we've asked her about and food staff is great also. The guy at the counter was friendly and the bathrooms were clean. I was going to reserve a lane for 2 hours but decided I would just do it when I we went in since I knew it wasn't busy because of how empty the parking lot was when I drove by earlier. But when I got there, I was told it wasn't per hour, but per game. Either their website is wrong or the guy was telling me that knowing it would cost more per game. The lane he put us on was terrible. Avoid lane 20. We do not curve our throws but the ball kept hitting dents in the wood that you could see that was pushing the ball randomly left and right. I've never had this happen at any bowling alley or lane ever. The audio and video screens were only playing on one side. I came here about 20 years ago and the experience was way better. My photography group decided to have a Monday meet up at the bowling alley to answer the question can photographers bowl? I haven't been to this bowling alley since it was a Brunswick Lanes. Our original plan was supposed to be Sawgrass Lanes but they canceled our reservation. This worked out great for me because it was right around the corner from my house. AMF has made some improvements and it looks great. We had a fairly large group so we took over four lanes. I got my shoes and was impressed by how new and clean they looked. I had a great time bowling even though I am not very good. By the end of this outing I was glad that I didn't sign up for the bowling event at the Yelp games. I still had fun though and I had forgotten how much fun it is to go bowling. We had a great time ribbing and cheering each other on. As it got late they turned down the lights and turned on the black lights and multi color lights for glow in the dark bowling. They also had screens above the lanes showing the basketball game. While we bowled we munched on food from the snack bar. We had fries, wings, pizza, and burgers. They offer the typical selections you would expect from a snack bar. Other amenities offered here include a pro shop, pool tables, and a game room. As for the question can photographers bowl the answer is while only some can bowl well all can have fun trying. read more

Bowling prices are not bad and there are daily deals! The bowling place is not too big but enough for a small-medium crowd. Good music playing in the background. There are deals on alcohol drinks too! I got $3 big bowl captain mai tai, it's one shot of alcohol, juices and two fruit pieces; cherry and orange slice. Regular price is $8 and it's 2 shots of alcohol. The fries, mozzarella sticks, and wings are crispy and not hard. The staff are nice and don't have an attitude. Great place! Lots of lanes and bowling balls to choose from. There's fast food too. We played several games.

We were gifted a groupon that was good for two hours of play time with shoes included. During that time, the lane needed to be reset four times: the first two times, it took a bit but we let it reset on it's own, however the next two times our bowling balls got stuck we had to ask for help, which took a bit longer. They ended up having us switch to another lane, but the original lane we were assigned to felt as if our lane specially look longer to reset the pins than everyone else's. After our time was up, we asked if we could get a bit more time just to be able to finish up the game we were in the middle of. They stated they aren't able to do that. I explained that our play time was cut short multiple times due to faulty equipment, however they would not permit it because we used groupon to purchase their services. It was an uncomfortable experience from start to finish and it was very disappointing. read more

We held a party for my daughter's birthday which was wonderful as were the employees. The problem that I had is that my parents and husband rented another lane to bowl that had nothing to do with the party. We wanted to pay separately however they told us they can just keep it on the credit card on file for the party. Which was fine. Until I got the bill and saw they charged a 19% event fee on the lane even though it did not receive event service. I emailed my concerns but nothing was done. Besides that the lane broke down about 10 times which did not even allow them to finish 2 games in a hour and a half. Beware before spending your money here. read more

I initially called the AMF Margate (FL) to check for Saturday availability on Wednesday. The woman who answered the phone cut me off in the middle of my question to bark out that they don't take reservations. Fast forward to Saturday...inquiry call, take 2. A chatty woman, presumably at AMF "corporate" takes 15 minutes to finally take a reservation with a quote of $72/ lane, 6 persons per lane with $4.50 shoe rental for 2 hr minimum. About an hour later, they send an email requiring full payment, non-refundable, no changes allowed, no mention of this from Chatty Cathy from Corporate. Not willing to drop $144 with no option for adjustment (which is outrageous...it's bowling not dinner at The Capital Grille), that email goes unaddressed. We get to the alley, which is dead. The "reservation" surreptitiously canceled, there is mercifully a bounty of available lanes. Desk personnel advises that the night would run $5.99 per game with $4.50 shoe rental. As a middle-aged woman who once bowled in a league, I've never known a "game" to be anything other than a collective, 10 frame rotation. But no. They charge $5.99. Per game. Per head. That's $41.93 a game. For bowling. 7 people. 2 lanes. 4 games. 6 shoe rentals. 2 hours. $180. Our bar tab was less by 60 bucks. All 7 left stunned and feeling more than a little misled. AMF is a racket. We will never be back. Ever. read more

I have to say I really like this bowling alley it's close to home it reminds me of the bowling alley we frequented in New Jersey there's only one issue the floor is so dirty it makes me cringe and they have spray bottles all around to clean your table, because they don't do it, but no paper towels in sight so I guess you have to go to the bathroom to get the paper towel. The staff is very nice and we recently bought shoes and balls there. I get that it was Covid and businesses lost a lot of money but spic and span is cheap and so are paper towels. read more

Although grossly understaffed as a whole, which from what I've seen is common practice for AMF Bowlero, the people that work here are excellent, especially the manager Robin and Dan the lane man. I feel bad watching them run around trying to do 2-3 jobs at once EVERY WEEK. Someone get these people some help. The entire place is always clean, the bathrooms stocked w/ soap, paper towels and there's sanitizer everywhere. The lanes play difficult and the scoring pace is low, which is what I prefer, as I feel like it sharpens my game and keeps my average down for when I bowl tournaments in the area. read more

I hope the Managment of this place read this review. The place is extremely dirty, looks like the floors or bathroom have never been cleaned. Please do some cleaning at least ones a month. It is disgusting. They have 32 lanes where only the "league lanes" are oiled (from 1 to 24) the other 8 lanes are dry and have no maintenance regularly which is annoying when you want to bowl correctly and put up your game or practice. We bought the Season pass and it is working great. The Staff is nice and the location is good. BUT THE PLACE NEEDS TO BE CLEAN. read more

You could say Im on a bowling kick. Twice in a month or a smidge more . Its good clean fun especially at this establishment.. No bar service and it was closed so that was a bummer. Whats bowling without a few cocktails. Good clean fun LOl. They also didnt have hot pretzels what a drag. It forced me into getting french fries and that probable ruined me going to the gym this morning but oh well. I loved the fries so im not complaining Ill be at the gym tomorrow. You would think bowling would kill a few calories. I dont think it did though. I take that back the my fitness pal said: Calories burned: 584! I'll take that! but i blew it eating the freis Calories: 1090-1170. Thats something I liked on the menu they give you the calories for every menu item so you know what youre ingesting...I think its a good thing. Just wish the fries werent so high in calories. It was Sunday so it wasnt busy we played for three hours an hour a game which killed the afternoon nicely. I used to be on a league more than once here at this location when it was Brunswick. i went to margate lanes had a great time the people was so friendly i know that the people in charge went belong the job as not one but 3 gentleman stop by to see how i was and if any thing they could do to make my stay more enjoyable ty to jeff and gary and jared they really wanted to make sure every thing was running smooth the food was wonderful hot and was brought to my table as soon as they could ty to kyle and mercedes who made my day with the smile they gave me as they put my food and drink down and to christain who was all over cleaning and helping every one so they had no trouble as they bowl this alley has new tables and bring a fresh look that people enjoy i know i be back because this was so much fun and the cost was well worth the fun u can enjoy read more

I took my two out of town grandchildren in and we bowled two games and purchased two small drinks. $55.00 I showed my AMF league card thinking it qualified me for a discount. But no! After being a summer league secretary in this center for 35 years the GM wouldn't give me the league discount. Poor public relations AMF. As I was informed by the GM that it was your rules. Called in advance to have a birthday party. I was told for the amount of people and lanes I requested it would be $13 a person and would include shoes pizza and soda. Once I arrived I ended up paying $14.75 per person for tax. Later I asked about when the pizza and soda would arrive and they wanted to charge me $3 more per person. Never got what was promised. They shut the lanes off right at the two hour mark not even letting the kids finish there frame. Will not be returning read more

A few days before my nephew's birthday party we decided to switch from a pool party to bowling due to the weather. I was able to book and pay for the party all online and just show up, it was so easy. The party was set up and everything was ready for us to jump right in. The package I purchased was $16.99 per kid which came with 2 hours of bowling, pizza and hot dogs and drinks for the kids, plates, cups and all, a bowling pin for the kids to sign, $5 gift card for their next we visit. I bowl at this place every week and I do it for convenience being close to home, but I have noticed that they have recently hired more staff where the money comes in ie: at the bar and kitchen, there is definitely more people coming in to bowl since they lifted restrictions, one place where it is urgently needed is cleaning, the floors are disgusting, but even so more importantly the lanes are not properly maintained, there is very little or no oil in the none league lanes 26 and above i think, good look trying to hook the ball, you'll end up in the gutter. read more
