Grand Opening Night! I'm gonna be honest and say this 3 star review is based on what's currently happening but the potential for a 5 star exists! First, finding parking at Pick-A-Ball is never fun, but Friday night while this shindig is going on was bad. Ended up parking in back in the grass. Once I got in and saw how crowded it was, totally made sense. So Skillshotz will be downstairs but the Grand Opening event was upstairs, so up we go... Food! Hungry Howie's is catering the event and your $5 entry gets you all you want. Pizza, pasta, wings, salad, and desserts. Sign me up! It's not a very complete bar but they do have beer, wine, and liquor, comparable to prices anywhere else. Okay, so far I'm on board. Skillshotz has their own advert table set up here, follow on social media and you can spin the wheel of fun. Thank God I won a T shirt instead of losing a shoe... ? There are a couple of other vendors on hand hawking anime pins and stickers, one table selling custom dice, and one with hard plastic molded jewelry shaped like ouija boards and bird skulls. Seems a bit more geared towards kids than the RPG venue they are trying for, definitely not set for the gamers they want to pull in, but we'll see what happens as the night progresses. So tonight's main hall event is a set of 9 different D&D games going on in the big room upstairs. There were a few other empty tables as well. LOUD is the first and overwhelming impression of this space which is intended to be a pickle ball court one day. Bare concrete walls, floors, and a high metal ceiling may look cool in a NY loft or on a pickle ball court, but do not lend themselves to a shared gaming space with music playing in the background. This is a one off for tonight though so we will cut them some slack. Looks like everyone is doing Adventurers League, (Epic!) which bills itself as a way of introducing everyone to the game, yet 2 complete revolutions around the room with a pause at each table failed to elicit even a greeting, much less an invitation to sit, but the games were already underway, and that's not really why we are here, so on with the tour. Private rooms downstairs are being planned (high on potential but not quite there yet). Rooms will be rentable at $20 per session but... a $30 monthly membership will allow you access to a DM and a private room to play in. 2 five hour sessions per month with your membership. You also get discounts in food, and priority for rooms. Each room will be themed, and decorated to match. Fairy, Cthulu, Vampire, The Armory, etc., and have 8x4 LED virtual game tables (with covers should you choose to play something else) to play on, stream compatible, smoke machines, midi decks and sound systems including voice modulators. I was also informed that within 6 months they plan on converting the 3 basketball courts to one giant LCD floor and will do LARP events with a dungeon floor created for the game! Looks like big things to come. I'll be back!

At the grand opening of the new location for SkillShotz. We have enjoyed being members for the last year and really like the new location with better parking opportunities. The staff is friendly and helpful. Someone is always willing to help you learn a new game.

Ever since the renovation they're outside seating is amazing. There are so many choices where you can sit by the bar, high tops tables along the water or even at one of their second bar or other tables a little bit further away from the water. You never have to wait long either because they have so much seating available. It really gives an island vibe when eating at the cove from the high ceilings to the music to the great food choices and especially sitting along the water. You'll also never know what type of boat you might see as well, which makes for a fun time. I think a highlight appetizer is definitely the conquers. They are super flavorful and you definitely get the seafood taste without much filler. I also love the black and mahi sandwich for an entrée. I think that they always give a very nice piece of mahi and the blackened seasoning that they use is not overbearing, but really adds flavor. My favorite drink here is a blue moon on draft. I think that there is nothing better than a blue moon when sitting along the water. If you haven't tried the cove, I definitely recommend stopping by. I think their food is phenomenal. The atmosphere is great and the service is a 10 out of 10.

Last night (a Tuesday in August) we had the 2 for 1 schnitzel special. Good value. Service friendly and helpful. We arrived about 6:15 PM. No trouble parking which is unusual in the Mizner area. Tuesdays are "trivia nights" (starting at 7 PM) so we opted to avoid the noise and eat outside. While the temperature had to be in the high 80's there were multiple fans so we made the right decision. I suspect after 8 PM the place gets a young and boisterous crowd. You either buy into the atmosphere or you don't.

I was able to find a parking spot, but if you're going during peak hours, valet may be the easier option. The overall atmosphere was lively and fun. There was a live band playing, and although it was busy, the staff was friendly and welcoming. We chose to sit outside, which ended up being the perfect spot. We could still enjoy the music without it being too loud, making it easy to have a conversation. For an appetizer, we ordered the buffalo shrimp, which had just a mild kick and was very flavorful. I also had a burger with fries, and the burger was cooked perfectly. By around 9:30 PM, the outdoor area became much busier, with a younger crowd arriving, but the atmosphere remained enjoyable. Our server was attentive throughout the evening, and we never felt rushed. Overall, it was a great place to relax with friends, enjoy good food, and listen to live music. I'd definitely go back!

Our large group was seated inside the main dining area a short distance from the front entrance. Some of the chairs were very close, next to a large column so it was good there were young children in our group to sit in those seats. Mounted tvs weren't too loud. Our server was knowledgeable and kept us informed of our order status but an additional server would have helped get all the orders taken. The main entrees were brought out in stages with some getting their meals way earlier than others. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meals, with a few standouts and others in need of Improvement or would not reorder. Generous portions on everything. Most took home doggie bags. I definitely would return for the fried calamari and lemon pepper chicken wings. The onion rings are worth the $2 upcharge. Korean BBQ cheesesteak was okay, tad spicy but very salty. I tasted the Korean 20 oz ribeye another guest ordered, cooked medium rare and it wasn't eatable. Sadly, I didn't get pictures of all the items ordered. Plan on returning to try other menu offerings including dessert next time.

Though Mizner Park was buzzing with people and traffic, the restaurant itself was not busy when I arrived. Atmosphere was chill as I took a seat at the bar. They have a diverse menu offering the following: * Appetizers, soups & salads, dessert * Burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, pasta * Seafood, steak, pork chop, chicken * Craft beer, wine, spirit, mocktails I placed an order for a Sunset Sangria and a classic slider. The sangria was very refreshing with flavors that were perfectly balanced. Four nicely prepared mini sliders was served with a small basket of fries and pickles. The bartender provided the necessary condiments. At that moment, people were arriving steadily. I ordered another sangria and a cheesecake brûlée for dessert. Visually, the cheesecake looked delicious. The creamy, decadent dessert was topped with a caramelized sugar layer, fresh berries, and a sprig of mint. My stomach had reached its capacity, so I asked one of the bartenders for a container to carry my leftovers home. My first dining experience at Yard House was enjoyable. The food and drinks were well-prepared and the service was satisfactory. I am definitely looking forward to my next visit. This place is suitable for social gatherings, casual lunches, and late night dining.

Despite it being super dead, our server (who my mom pointed out has worked here for forever) was acting like he had 50 tables. It took forever to get him to come over and order anything from him, he was a mess. Other than the terrible service, the food was pretty good. Nothing to run home about but it wasn't bad. Everything was hot and came out relatively quickly and was made correctly. There was some sand in my clams, but I feel like that happens often when eating shellfish so I won't hold it against them. The seats are also super comfy and I like how they have 2 bars and both indoor and outdoor seating.
