We were sure we wanted a backyard wedding, but we weren't sure on food and Covid was making it difficult to finalize numbers. But there was Ali taking it all in, running with ideas, providing options, and the whole time projecting the confidence that she would produce amazing results no matter what. I cannot say enough good things about AMG Catering! Alison (the chef) and Olivia (the coordinator) planned our wedding in about 8 days and everything went seamlessly. They are both incredibly professional and responsive and talented. Ali worked with my husband and I to create a perfect individualized menu (including accommodations for different allergies, kids, picky eaters, and a ravenous husband) and everything was absolutely delicious. Seriously, I cannot rave more about the food and our families are in total agreement. Liv took care of everything, from coordinating tent rentals for our socially distant outdoor wedding to the beautiful details of our tablescape (she even graciously let my 8-year-old daughter arrange candles). I think the only things I had to coordinate about were my dress, hair, and the photographer. I didn't think it was possible to plan a wedding in 8 days with minimal stress, but Ali and Liv truly made that possible. read more

If I could have given Alison and her staff more than 5 stars, I would have. We hosted a birthday party for my father. I'm from out of town, so it was really important that I work with someone who could run the entire event for me. I gave Alison some general ideas of what we wanted and she came back with a menu that was perfect for us. Alison handled rentals, staffing, drinks, set up and clean up. The food was absolutely A+. Alison's staff was incredibly efficient, friendly, and helpful. I would use AMG again in a heartbeat. read more

I cannot say enough nice things about our experience with AMG for our daughter's wedding last weekend. From the very first email asking if she was available, Ali was incredibly responsive, enthusiastic, helpful, and guided us through what I'm sure can be a very stressful process if you don't have the right caterer. The food was INCREDIBLE...I think every single guest said something to us about how good it was and I'm not exaggerating. And not only was everything delicious, Ali and her equally amazing staff somehow figured out how to get 82 bowls of soup served while they were all still hot (in a tent, on a cold and damp evening no less!). AMG catering was phenomenal! I can't recommend them enough. Alison responded to my every email lightning fast and helped me every step of the way. I hired her and staff to cater a house party for the cast/family/friends of my sons Shakespeare performance. I was at the performance so her staff, Michael and Lulu, came and set everything up; it was beautiful and I was a guest at my own party. I had so much fun! No stress for me. Michael and Lulu did everything including packaging leftovers for guests to take home (at my request) and cleaned my kitchen before they left. Wonderful experience. I wanted to get my mom a great "experience" gift for her 60th birthday. I contacted a few cooking classes in the area but many offered just a few classes from inexperienced "chefs." Some of them were also so expensive! Then I found AMG. I contacted AMG and Alison answered all my questions, helped me arrange a gift certificate for my mom to attend a class, and was so courteous and efficient! I am looking forward to hearing about how my mom likes the cooking class. And I am so glad that I was able to find such a great gift! We recently got married and AMG Catering was highly recommended to us by a good friend and they over exceeded our highest expectations. AMG was amazing! First of all, Alison responds to emails before you even press "send" and she was integral in coming up with a buffet concept that totally fit into our type of wedding. Alison and Olivia were also crucial in helping us get everything together (tent, rentals, booze, cake, etc.) - we literally could not have put together a wedding from scratch w/o their coordination and organization! And to top it all off - the food was AH-MAZING. We had SO so many compliments about how tasty the food was and how much of it there was. No one went hungry! Here comes ANOTHER five star review for Alison and Olivia at AMG Catering! I knew within minutes of meeting each of them that the fates were smiling down on us that day. They are positive, calm, creative, and enthusiastic, an oasis of sanity in the crazy world of planning a wedding. And FUN, did I mention fun? We planned an outdoor wedding at a venue on the water where the main course was to be cooked on outdoor grills ......and then the hurricane brought rain, cold winds and flooded roads.
