Located in beautiful Ridgefield, Connecticut this place comes highly regarded. Baileys is a small restaurant with a big personality! The staff was super friendly and had such positive attitudes making the experience enjoyable. There is a parking lot located to the side of the restaurant where you can easily park. However, I believe there is a two hour limit. If you plan to come for brunch on the weekends, make sure to reserve a table ahead of time because it fills up fast! There was a line out the door as I left. I ordered the southern breakfast with the grits and bacon from the menu, however, they offered plenty of brunch specials as well. The portions are plenty filling, offering generous servings that leave you satisfied without feeling like you need anything extra. The meal was okay, but unfortunately our gift card was not accepted. Over the course of more than a month, I called, sent multiple emails, and communicated through Facebook Messenger trying to resolve the issue. Although I initially received some responses, communication eventually stopped and my requests for assistance were ignored. Before posting this review, I sent a final follow-up asking whether the issue would be addressed and received no response. I would have been happy with a resolution, explanation, or even an update, but none was provided. Very disappointing customer service experience. Seated in the back of a lively but very loud space. Service is kindly described as leisurely. (What does it take to get a drink around here?) Tuna appetizer was tedious and tasteless as it was mostly comprised of risotto. The spring pea/feta ravioli app sounded so appealing but was unanimously reported as lacking flavor (and spring peas) by a panel of all three dining companions. My Carbonara was actually quite good (and loaded with peas!) but much of the flavor was lost to the super heavy bucatini pasta, which was miscast in this traditionally delicate dish. Visited recently for a work lunch and had a wonderful Cobb salad! The restaurant is situated right off the Main Street and parking can be a bit of a challenge. What a gem! This place was absolutely great. The restaurant is very cozy, really good vibes from the minute you get in. They started us off with some warm cornbread, it was nice and warm and tasted so good! For our appetizer we had the burrata which was absolutely delicious. I had for my lunch the Philly Cheesesteak which must have been the best cheesesteak I have eaten outside of Philadelphia. The steak was so tasty and flavorful and plentiful. It was served with peppers and onions with a little jalapeño kick. I truly enjoyed it. My girlfriend had the apple/Brie panini and she absolutely loved it. I came to Bailey's for Ridgefield's 2024 Restaurant Week, and frankly it was a brilliant decision. Bailey's is next to the entrance of the public parking lot, and does have outdoor seating in the sidewalk with fire towers (at least they were there in February). The interior is deceptively big - there are two rooms with tables. The food was amazing - the brussel sprouts tostada I still think about, the sprouts were cooked so well and seasoning done perfectly. The complimentary cornbread only made me sad because I had to share. A little crumbly, but homey and welcoming! The waiter was very friendly, but couldn't really explain the surprise "kitchen fee" that came on the bill that apparently is not part of the tip. In most situations I would have lowered my score of the restaurant, but I enjoyed the meal that much. If it was on the menu, I missed it and that information should be mentioned at the beginning of the meal. read more

My husband and I came to Bailey's about a month ago for some drinks and we really loved the vibe, we decided to make a reservation yesterday for dinner and we are so glad we did. The service is outstanding and the food blew us away. We were greeted at the host stand upon arrival and sat immediately, the place was super busy and you could tell that the staff was working extra hard to keep everyone happy. The waitress came by to take our drink and food order. Here is what we had: To start we had two martinis made to perfection. For food went we had the Brussel sprouts Kung Pao which was so good I could have just kept eating it. We also shared the goat cheese croquettes and I can not even put into words how delicious the fried green tomatoes and pesto sauce that accompanied them were. For our main course I had the Caesar salad and my husband had the farm greens salad with a side of chicken, both dishes were fantastic! Last, but not least, for dessert we shared the vegan key lime pie which was mouth watering good. The only thing I wish is that they had more vegetarian options for main dishes. The menu is limited (and that's a good thing!) ... a fish dish, a vegetarian dish, a chicken and a beef... perhaps a total of five entrees. There are a number of appetizers and salads, and two dessert options. The corn bread with melted butter sauce which is put out on the table in lieu of bread, is outrageously delicious! Dinner for two, with 2 drinks each, a shared appetizer, two entrees, 1 dessert with tip costs about $150.00. I've been around for years, but never had chance to try here until very recently. And I really thought I just should've never tried it. Mostly because of the foods. (Service was good) The menu was trying to make them sound fancy, thoughtful, almost like Michelin starred local restaurant, but the actual foods was mixed of bunch of unthoughtful ingredients. All ingredients lost their original flavor, portion of main dish ingredients are tiny and mostly fillers(rice&pasta)and they are not cooked professionally. Undercooked(not Al Dente) and extremely salty. Because of the quality, I felt like Michelin starred restaurants are cheaper. Also the kids menus were horrible as well. Normally when we are getting kid's menu, it's either cheap or comes with some veggies and fruits and at least a scoop of ice cream to show that the restaurant tried. Here's not. They were just small portions, ridiculously priced, cheap food. I don't write the reviews just because I am failing trying new restaurants. If they are bad I just don't go there. Brunch! I love brunch, and my biggest disappointment with Bailey's is the fact that I couldn't pick which of their delicious options to get, because there were too many to name. The cheddar biscuits and sausage gravy, the 50/50 burger, the omelette, and more! First, the ambiance was adorable, with bird photos on every wall, and rustic look to the place. The host and waiters were attentive and kind, making for a nice experience. I ended up with the BBQ brisket melt which was delicious. They started us with homemade cornbread, which you can tell was made in-house by the flavor of it. In my sandwich, the brisket was slightly tough, but not enough to take away from the meal. It was cheesy, and sweet thanks to the house-made barbecue sauce. I had home-fries on the side, and ordered a side of cheddar biscuits which were flaky and buttery. My biggest qualm was how heavy my meal ended up being, by my own choice! All in, it was a great meal. I expect to go back and try other options, which will likely bring me up to a five star. I LOVE farm-to-table restaurants. It makes me feel good about the food I am eating, and the support to the local farms that are listed on the seasonal menu. Go here, it's worth it! read more

Went back to Bailey's with an Anniversary gift card and as always Bailey's delivers. Options are eating outside under the tent with multiple warmers and very fluffy blankets or indoors in either section. We went indoors. Had the green salad which was amazing, not certain how they make their salad so great. I had a Relic Fortnight IPA and wife had a Chardonnay. I've rated 555 beers on Untapped and nearly all of them IPA but never had 2 which were on the menu! Well Done Bailey's. I had the short rib (evening special 11/13/2021) and wife had the Trout. The short rib was ok but nothing "special" the Trout was divine. Its hard to cook fish but we both thought it was 5/5. This is why people drive long distance to Bailey's they can do amazing things. Desert was a split chocolate thing (will post picture) also wonderful. Left stuffed and took the short ribs home to my son who gave it a thumbs up. I was beginning to give up on good service; I just decided well, this is what service is these days. I was pleasantly surprised at Bailey's! It was so refreshing to actually have good table service again. All of the menu choices sounded good and we had difficulty choosing. We were very happy with the dishes we got. They were very fresh and delicious as promised: delicious salads, chicken, pork, with sides of spaetzle and homemade grits that arrived on the plate. The honeyed cornbread to start was delicious. I'm sure the desserts would be delicious but we were too full. The wait staff and the host were very attentive. Too bad I live so far away or else I would come here often. This place is really a gem, one of Ridgefield's finest. What's not to love? Great location, quaint spot, live music performed by talented musicians, friendly service. And my most favorite thing: a revolving menu. My husband and I started off with a glass of wine each, they've got a nice little selection. I had a the crab bisque and could not get enough. So light and paired well with the wine. We got the brussel sprouts which may be one of my all time favorites and I am a huge fan of brussel sprouts. Crispy and packed with flavor. The mussels were fresh and came with nice big pieces of toasted Italian bread. The harissa carrots came with only a few pieces of carrots but despite that they were still very good and the hummus and fried pieces of pita that accompanied them were great. My only downside was that the tortillas for the duck tacos were cold, when it comes to tacos the tortillas should always come out warm. But they were very interesting and tasted great otherwise. Finally we had dessert and coffee. The s'mores cake was so delicious, it really reminds you of a campfire, graham cracking crumbles, smoky flavor, a fudge like piece of chocolate cake. It's a small portion but we weren't looking to have a lot of desert and it's so decadent that it was enough. Can't wait to try next season's menu. read more

This place was absolutely lovely and the food was flavorful. I made reservations to dine outside (due to covid) and I suggest making a reservation if you're coming on a weekend. They gave us an amazing cornbread topped with this buttery sauce that was such a sweet and rich way to start the meal. The real winner was the Mexican corn dip appetizer. That dip was so rich and creamy and cheesy, I've never had anything like it. I also ordered the half chicken and I was surprised by how moist and flavorful the chicken was.
