We stopped by the AMI Beach Hut after a day at the beach for their fresh squeezed lemonade. It was so refreshing and had the perfect amount of sweetness without being overly tart. At the shop you can find yummy ice cream treats, beach toys + supplies, snacks, and more. Like most places on AMI, this spot encompasses all the cute and cozy beach vibes of the island. Super small ice cream shop in the convenience store with an excellent variety of ice cream. When we arrived there was a rather large family there who had already been several times this week and were boasting about how good it was. The gentleman that was working the store was super friendly and helpful giving us suggestions on their top sellers. I went with the seasonal pumpkin swirl and the key lime pie. Both were excellent, but the key lime pie was the winner for me. I got a double scoop on a waffle cone and the scoops were HUGE! Such a cute little place. My iced espresso with the jewel syrup they have is white chocolate and toffee nut... SO good! I was also ordering something for a friend and messed up the order and the owner was so kind and helped, also fixing the drink for me! My fiancé and I also got breakfast sandwiches on croissants. This place is SO GOOD!! There are a bunch of ice cream flavors to choose from, and they're all incredible! The floats are also amazing and they even give you extra soda. The prices are good and the guy behind the counter is extremely nice and so patient with everyone. There usually is a line but he gets through it very quickly! I was surprised to see that there wasn't a listing on Yelp for the AMI Beach Hut Convenience Store just north of Ginny's and Jane E's Cafe, Bakery and Store on Gulf Drive. The little corner store was colorful and inviting with a seating area outside, signs advertising ice cream, cold beer, soft drinks and ice for sale. I don't even recall why my husband needed to go in there but glad we did. This is a convenience store, ice cream parlor, beach necessity and 'things I forgot to buy at the grocery store' store. The prices were so reasonable for snacks and beach toys. The lady working the store was so sweet and greeted everyone and was soooo friendly. If you're staying toward the north end of the island and need a quick in and out store for forgotten items or an ice cream, ice or refreshment fix, this is your place. Great convenience store right across Magnolia St. from Ginnie and Jane E's on Gulf Drive. Looks small from the outside but inside is an amazing variety of stuff you need; a wide choice of food items; snacks, condiments, terrific ice cream cones, newspapers when Publix has been out of them for hours, wide variety of drinks, ice, beach rentals and so on. People on duty are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful all with a smile. I say buy from the little guy when you can, and this is the place to do it in Anna Maria. read more

I got the praline ice cream and it was amazing. It's right off the beach so if your coming out of the water and want a snack then this is the place to stop.
