Grilled salmon with rice and beans and coleslaw.

Food was excellent! I had the salmon dinner and my husband had the fried shrimp. Everything was prepared perfectly. Restaurant was extremely busy on a Thursday at dinner time in July! It is a great place right off the beach to enjoy diner. A little on the pricier side but to be expected for the location on the beach.

We decided to make a stop in Anna Maria after our vacation in Siesta Key, and we're so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious, and everyone in our party of seven enjoyed their meal. I ordered the char-boiled octopus, and it was cooked to perfection. The flavorful sauce paired beautifully with the smashed potatoes, making it one of the best dishes I had on our trip. We visited over the Fourth of July weekend, so the beach was understandably packed. One of the biggest perks was the restaurant's complimentary valet parking for up to two hours. They also offer all-day parking for $45, but the two-hour valet was more than enough time to enjoy lunch and take a quick dip at the nearby beach. Keep in mind, it is $65 if you surpass the two hours. Great food, convenient parking, and an excellent location--I definitely recommend this restaurant!

We got a reservation outside, it was a great night to enjoy the view. I've been here twice and have had great service both times, and they are very busy. The waitress suggested the grouper tacos and she was right - light, fresh and so filling! The margarita was good and hit the spot sitting in the sun. I highly recommend making reservations - it's a very busy place!

Definitely worth the trip. Food was good, service was awesome and the view of the beach amazing. Our server Zach was terrific and very attentive, he suggested the Cowboy Shrimp from the appetizer list and it was delicious. I ordered the Lobster Roll as it has been awhile since I've had one (Rhode Island 2020) and it was just as good! My wife had the Shrimp and Grits, also a very good choice. They don't require reservations but we made one anyway because of the distance we're traveling. Dogs allowed in the outdoor dining area and they offer valet parking. You can spend the day at the beach and walk right in to dine. There's also a sort Of booth window where you can come in from the beach and just order drinks to go.

Review for our drinks and service at Sandbar 5/5! We entered in the front and quickly realized we could just go to the outdoor window for drinks. We ordered the "My Ami Vice" and "The Spicy Bungalow". The lady taking our payment was kind and efficient. The drinks were both delicious, our only regret was not ordering another one.

Absolutely FABULOUS! Our server, Skylar, was amazing! She was so friendly and kind. Very bubbly and smiley! Our food was soooo good! Not joking, the best chicken tenders I have ever had! Please feel free to message me that recipe or where you guys buy them! PLEASE! Not to mention, the view was wonderful. Also they park your car!?! Heck yeah dude. Just don't be a loser, tip them! Drinks were great too!

We went here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with friends. It wasn't very busy and we were seated right away. The interior looks like it's been redone and was quite nice. It's right on the water so the view is terrific. We had the shrimp flatbread ($19) and the red snapper catch of the day ($38). The snapper was done just right and came with steak fries and delicious coleslaw. The toppings on the flatbread were fine but the bread part was overbaked and hard to cut. It was flavorful but hard to eat. Portions were generous and service was prompt and courteous from Madison, our server. I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for that flatbread. There is a full bar and outdoor seating is available. A gift shop and an ice cream shop are located in the lobby. Free valet parking.

Never gets old! Food is better than average. Location, views, and service is exceptional. Really cannot beat the atmosphere. Love it.

Amazing view!! I came to Anna Maria for the day and stopped by Sandbar for a late lunch. It was so nice to be able to still "be on the beach" and have a refreshing meal. I started off with a pina colada, it was so yummy. For food, I got a Cesar salad with chicken (without cheese as I don't eat dairy) and a side of fries. The fries were very crispy, which I loved. The service here was great and I will definitely be back if I come to Anna Maria again!

Always good food. You can valet your car. We were told 45 minutes outside for sunset. I ordered drinks. My key lime colada was amazing. In 25 minutes we had a table. The restaurant had been remodeled after hurricane. They even have an ice cream bar. We watched the beautiful sunset after walking to the beach. Our server was friendly and helpful. I got the hogfish special. It was melt in your mouth. My daughter got a salad with coconut shrimp. The shrimp were cooked correctly. The shrimp were delicious. Green beans were good also.

    Beach side dining.

Married at the Sand Bar in '08 and we keep coming back. There's something special about this place. We were just here last week once with a party of 8 then two nights later a party of 26, ten teenage girls and sixteen adults. Same amazing service and ambience. Sitting in the sand with friends and family does not get any better. Thanks to the Sandbar staff for an awesome time, again and again. We have lots of choices on the island, don't miss the Sandbar!!! Cheers!!!

The views of Bean Point!! The beach is very large. We believe we saw a wedding or engagement. This restaurant was very busy we were able to get in without a reservation. They have a large parking lot. Took the trolley.

A staple on Anna Maria, the Sandbar offers a beautiful location, with a plentiful menu, gift shop, and ice cream bar. Valet parking. Appetizers large enough to share. Always busy, the service was slow for the mains. Make a reservation or you will likely have a wait for a table, especially outside. Sunset views are unmatched.

We grabbed reservations for the outdoor area to enjoy the weather and were thankful for the shady tree cover. This time we opted for some bites and though the menus change seasonally, I would recommend anything featuring tomatoes. They use truly fantastic heirloom tomatoes that remind you what you're missing with the watery ones we get at the grocery store. Also recommend the Mediterranean Platter. It's full of veggies and the dips are YUM. As usual, the cocktails didn't disappoint. It's never a weekend in AMI without a visit here! Previous Review: 5 Stars for the best cocktails on AMI, and a craft cocktail bar vibe you wouldn't necessarily expect here. (Plus, the service is AMAZING) We walked in (no reservation) after dinner one weekend evening and we were greeted by Matt, who found us a spot at the bar. He gave us menus and a "wellness shot" -- delicious little concoction to wet your palate! Right away I was blown away by the interior and the menu. This looked like it belonged somewhere in Denver or Chicago, but I was thrilled to find it on the island! Matt helped guide us to drinks we'd like on the menu. I ordered the Purgatory, made up of Bourbon, chocolate bitters, agave and premium mezcal. It was divine!! We also ordered some warmed olives, and they were hot and so fragrant. Definitely something I'd order again at the bar. I was stoked to see they have a veggie-specific section on the food menu and can't wait to go back for dinner. I'll definitely make a reservation though, as it was pretty full. Next time, in terms of drinks, I have my eyes on the espresso martini (off menu, but saw a pic on Yelp), and the kiss kiss bang bang. Thanks to Matt and Emily who helped us with our drinks along the way. Sometimes these fabulous craft bars can be pretentious, but the service here was a huge standout. Can't wait to return!

I feel like the drinks used to be a lot more creative from what I saw on their socials and from what my friend said who went back in the day it used to be more of a speakeasy elevated cocktail vibe versus a tiki/dive bar vibe. We had to ask for the chips that are supposed to be given complimentary and then we ordered bread and soup which literally took an unnecessary like 30 mins or more to come out as we watched the people on both sides of us get their full meals before us when we got items that just had to be reheated. The tomato soup was very good once it finally came out, the rolls were good but nothing as great as the hype in my opinion for the menu. The drinks were good but honestly the starter shot given at the bar was my favorite which was a hibiscus Pom margarita which I ended up getting fully as my second drink. Service started out hot but then went downhill but that is unfortunately the standard of when gratuity is already included in a check. Then when it came time to pay it got weird when there was a simple mix up when my friend intentionally overpaid even with gratuity involved in her check and the bartender asked her if she wanted change and she said yes but never brought it back. My friend gave 3 - 20s on a $38 check (gratuity) already in but she wanted to tip a few more dollars because she is a very generous person and then when she asked about her change that's when it got weird and the bartender made it seem like she didn't understand why she wanted change instead of just apologizing for the mistake and they went back and forth for a few minutes with the bartender ending up just giving her the extra $20 back. Just left a weird taste in our mouths for the experience when I feel like any bartender would understand what she wanted to do with giving extra larger bills to split especially when she said she wanted change and it was a massive overpayment or if the thought there was a very generous tip like 30% would make sure with guest that's what they want and show appreciation if that were the case. It was just weird how it all was handled. The decor was on point for Christmas and the vibe was very casual but oldie vibes which makes sense for it being in Anna Maria island.
