Wonderful blueberry picking which starts mid July! Yum!
    Joanna R.

Best fresh blueberry picking around RI. I love the flyer with tips and recipes as well. Less than $20 for 9.6lbs of fresh blueberries :) First thing in the morning, it is so peaceful! Loved every second of it. Two hours flew by in the blink of an eye.

    Good Stuff!

GREAT TIME will be had by all at this place! This is by far one of the best local "pick your own" farms. Make sure you bring a hat and be ready to spend a couple of hours. The price is about $2 a pound and you are welcome to eat as you pick. The staff is super knowledgeable and they have free water and a port-o-potty in case you need to use the bathroom. Kids and adults alike will enjoy this detour.

    Fresh berries!

I am glad I had a chance to visit before Thanksgiving to stock up on some goodies! If you've been to Sweet Berry Farm in Middletown, Four Town is kind of similar, although the rustic farmhouse-chic shop does not have a prepared foods counter. However, they more than make up for it with all the amazing vegetables and fruits grown onsite. I was very impressed with the Honeycrisp Apples and Butternut Squash, as well as their wide selection of house made jellies and salad dressings. In addition to Four Town's slate of offerings, they also showcase other local vendors such as Wrights Dairy Farm's milk and cakes and Venda Ravioli's frozen fresh pasta and sauces. Four Town also carries fresh flowers and greenery that is holiday-ready - Christmas Trees and decorative wreaths and evergreen garlands. The team is friendly and offers excellent assistance in recommendations and recipe ideas- everyone we interacted with was delightful. This is a great stop along the way to lunch or dinner in neighboring Warren or Bristol, and a lovely way to spend a weekend afternoon!

So I went ahead and bought a container of strawberries and they were so fragrant and delicious but half of them were all mushy and squished to the point that it wasn't edible it was gross and very disappointing because it was over $8 for a quart of the strawberries.

I was in need of some last-minute items that I forgot for my first Thanksgiving in Rhode Island…read more I asked local people on Reddit of some places that were open for Thanksgiving since there's a law in Rhode Island that any retail establishment that has more than six employees cannot be open for Thanksgiving. I thought it was an odd lol but I love to shop local businesses. So this was right up my alley on being able to support a local business. I was told of several places that were open with shorter hours for today. Dockside Seafood was my first stop and they had everything I needed.... BUT I didn't feel appreciated by them following me around the very small store like I was going to steal something. So I asked the guy (wearing a white meat market over coat) for a spice that I was looking for while standing right in front of it. He didn't have the answer. So that was some BS. Why are you standing 8ft away acting like you're looking for something when you aren't? I don't know if their local community hurts their business by stealing or not. But if that's the case then they should have cameras. They only have two very short aisles (similar to a gas station).
