Friendly stThey serve apps, pizzas, and pasta dishes with gluten free options. My go to faves are the pepperoni thin crust pizza and caeser salad. On my last recent visit, we ordered our typical pepperoni pizza and caeser salad. The pizza was delicious. Thin crust NYC style baked in a brick pizza oven. The pizza hit the table hot out of the oven. Blistered top crust. As I bit into the pizza, it had a cheese stretch. Beautiful seemingly endless stretch of cheese. The pepperoni cups curled with crisp edges and held little pools of that delicious oil. The Caesar salad is a go to favorite of mine as well. The flavors were spot on though. I always ask for the complimentary anchovy filets with the salad, they serve those on the side. The filets are only served if asked. That is also stated on the menu. read more

The coworkers and I hit this place on a weeknight after a few of them said they like the food here. I love the general location and had never been. We were seated right away with drink orders taken. After looking at the menu which consists of salads, pasta and pizza with some appetizers we decided on: macaroni and cheese, cheese bread, ceasar salad and Detroit deep dish pizza. All of us left satisfied with some of the deep dish pizza as leftovers. Our server was attentive and kind. It was my favorite and I wish it was sold in smaller sizes like the other pizzas. The caesar salad was great, topped with plenty of anchovies as requested. Very fresh and enough for two to share. The calabria pizza was yummy and we enjoyed the remainer for breakfast. This is my family's go-to spot whenever hunger strikes around the Vacaville area. We would mostly stopped during late lunch and so it isn't that busy and crazy. The staff are friendly and understanding of our requests (we have a 2yr old and a 6 yrs old). The last time we were there, we had the following: Detroit style pizza (spinach, bacon, mushroom) = OMG it was good. I never had it so I figured why not? Though not really sure if it really resembles the real Detroit pizza but I guess I'd have visit the city to test it out. We also shared linguine with clam sauce - which definitely hit the spot. My brother and his family had the alfredo with chicken and Amici's combo. I didn't taste any of them but they liked it as well. Over all, if you're hungry and want Italian in the neighborhood, give it a go. They're pretty fast and the prices are decent. read more

The question is " What went well"..everything. I love their personal size pizza, I always get the Margherita. I have tried 2 or 3 others ( pepperoni, Cheese and Vegetarian), and they NEVER disappoint. Always delicious, and i happen to really enjoy the THIN crust. So, if you like thin crust, you will love this! Obviously, you can order a different variety of crusts. Staff is super friendly, the restaurant is nice and clean, and I honestly couldn't find anything negative about this establishment. I would highly recommend it, and to families with children? Kudos to their marketing team, growing up in the Bay Area there have always been advertisements for this popular spot, although I've never had the opportunity to try it until yesterday. Amici's East Coast Pizzeria is located in the Nut Tree Plaza, Vacaville. Coming back from a weekend adventure, we stopped here to stroller walk the Plaza and have some lunch. Adding to a meal, there's lotsa kiddo pit-stop fun here including a train ride, carousel, play structure(s), and more. Amici's has a fun kiddo menu too! Linguine with red sauce and an added meatball for the kiddo (which was well-enjoyed), and for the adults, we went with the New York (mozzarella, tomato sauce) and a Full Caesar to split. The pizza is New York-style, thin and crispy. They offer other super fun toppings like menu creations including the Philly, Manhattan Red Clam, New Haven White Clam, and Kale & Sausage. They also have Detroit-style too. Amici's offers other starters & sides like pan roasted broccoli and minestrone soup, pastas, sandwiches, desserts, wine/beer, and gluten-free options. We visited on a busy weekend and were promptly assisted by Maurice. Regardless of the lunchtime frenzy, he offered every customer a warm smile and was graciously attentive. Equally important, Maurice genuinely ensured that dining and food expectations were sufficiently met. In our case, although the Margherita pizza arrived fresh from the brick pizza oven, added pepperoni was anything but. Maurice didn't hesitate to remedy the issue thus generously delivering crispy pepperoni, which not only enhanced pizza flavor but underscored his excellent customer service. Review update!! Funny, how I'm writing another review for Amici's on a sunny, warm, Friday. Something about eating pizza on a Friday outside on a patio at Amici's just feels right :) I was warmly greeted when I came in. It felt like Spring outside and wanted to sit on the patio. I Iet the server know I will sit on the patio. My order: minestrone soup, trentino pizza (mini size), and a slice tuxedo cake for dessert. My server was very attentive and very kind. At one point the sun moved and was right on my face (it was shady when I first sat down). She brought an umbrella over to shield from the sun. :) The minestrone soup was hot and flavorful. I loved the trentino pizza! It was my first time having it. I loved every bite of it. The meyer lemon oil I can taste in every bite. It was savory and tangy. Which is unique for a pizza..., but, it added such a great flavor profile to the pizza. Even better the trentino is one of the many pizzas here served without tomato sauce. I definitely would order again! The slice of tuxedo cake was huge and really decadent! I really loved it. It has a whole lot of chocolate (including the shavings on top and icing), which balanced well with the white cake layers in between. This was my second time visiting Amici's while in the Vacaville area! It is located in the Nut Tree plaza across from the carousel and playground. My husband and daughter would eat pizza every day if they could, but me...I prefer my pizza a little bit more bougie and Amici's hit the spot. We ordered the Flame Roasted Lemon Chicken Wings, the Side Garden Salad and a medium Half New York, Half New York Style Pepperoni. The chicken wings were nice and crispy and I really liked the spicy ranch that came on the side, the side garden salad was much bigger than I thought it was going to be and we were actually able to share it between the 2 of us. The pizza was very good and cooked to perfection - the medium was a perfect size and we still had 2 pieces to take home after the 3 of us were finished eating. Staff were friendly - we had 2 different young men due to one going on a break and they were both attentive and great. The inside is pretty decent sized and I like that you can see part of the kitchen and their huge pizza oven. I believe there was outdoor seating as well which I'm sure is nice with the view of the Nut Tree plaza during warmer weather. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area! read more

The restaurant was very clean inside. There was some cool sports memorabilia on the walls. Our waitress was super attentive and sweet. We got the Detroit style meat lovers pizza, which was amazing. The crust was cooked to perfection. There were two different types of sausage on the pizza, the ham was such good ham. Super flavorful, not just any ham. Pepperoni was delicious. The sauce had such a good homemade flavor. Such an awesome pizza. We also got the lemon chicken wings (spicy) and they were cooked perfectly. Had a nice crisp on the outside but super moist in the inside. The seasoning that they were tossed in was so good. Perfect amount of spice. We ended the meal with the cheesecake. Went here for Lunch on Sunday after shopping at the Outlets in Vacaville. We ordered a Wild Baby Arugula, Pan Roasted Broccoli and a medium TRENTINO pizza to share. It was enough for two and had leftovers for lunch the next day. The dining room had lots of seating inside and out, the restaurant itself was okay, some tables needed some wiping but overall it was pretty clean. The server was good and everything we ordered was as well. I liked the pizza very much and the salad always being one of our favorites. I don't crave pizza every often but when I do I cannot resist Amici's brick oven style pizza. I had to return for that taste of fine Italian cuisine...that East Coast Pizzeria vibe. Amici's thin crisp crust pizza is flavorful, a delicate texture, not doughy. Has that notable baguette authentic flare. To my surprise Amici's pizzeria has a new Detroit style thick crust pizza. I ordered the three cheese red top pizza with added pepperoni and fresh basil...and it didn't disappoint. The end slices were my favorite. Parm cheese is baked in the crust adding a crispy outside texture... salty yet rich parmesan flavor balancing the soft bread texture and cheesy chewy goodness... delicious!!!! Taking it to another level. It was like eating lasagna and French bread all in one. Service was exceptional. The host made sure my order was correct, less than 30 minute wait, pizza served piping hot. The selection of veggies that accompany the selected cheese options on Amici's pizza menu is without question unique. Great quality ingredients ... great taste in every slice. Recently ordered a pizza, red clam sauce spaghetti, and the sausage appetizer. The sausage appetizer is Ike 12 bucks and it's one and half sausages, sliced in half and cooked to death. Flavorless and lacking for the price. The pizza was a soppy wet mess. The red clam sauce pasta was the worst, overcooked, mushy, bland pasta I have ever had. For the price they charge, im shocked they are still in business. But I guess I should thank them, since then I have been cooking pasta at home cause its so damn easy to salt the water and cook it to an al dente to make an amazing pasta. read more

DOG FRIENDLY! Stopped by for lunch and service was very kind and accommodating for us to sit outside to be with our big German shepherd. They are very quick to set us up with our place settings, taking our order, and bringing out our food in a timely manner. It was funny how they prepared the anchovies on the side, much appreciated for the attention to detail! The Siciliano pizza seemed fairly simple but caught us by surprise! I loved the roasted garlic and simplicity that amplify the flavor. They also brought a side of ranch and marinara for us to dip our breadstick appetizers and later, our crust! The Caesar salad was also super fresh, and I loved their croutons. They offer so many different appetizers and pastas along with pizza.... Can't get over how much we like visiting Amici's. Thanks for taking care of our pup, we'll be back soon! BATHROOMS are available-- single for men, women, and a family room. They were fairly clean and stocked with have paper towels and seat covers. PARKING is available all around this complex as there are so many restaurants and stores around. Ordered Amici's for work catering and they nailed it. The driver was about 15 minutes late, but they called in advance and were on time with the update. This worked well for us and giving the full 5 stars for the advanced notice and getting the order accurate. We had a great salad, yummy raviolis, and 9 different pizzas both deep dish and NY style. Deep dish was a hit, and New York style also was good. Not sure ambiance of restaurant as we had this delivered, but being that I'm so close I plan to get it again - and will visit the brick and mortar eventually. First time at Amici's--and it won't be our last! We were recommended to try Amici's East Coast Pizzeria, and it absolutely did not disappoint! We've been meaning to go for a while, but the timing was never quite right--until today, and we're so glad we finally made it in. It wasn't too busy when we arrived, but there was a good, steady flow of people dining in, which is always a great sign. My husband ordered the "small" BBQ chicken pizza, which was surprisingly generous in size--definitely more like a large! He loved it, and I have to agree. I've tried BBQ pizza from Extreme Pizza before, but Amici's really takes the win. The BBQ flavor is well-balanced--not too overpowering--and just all around delicious. I had the penne pasta with meat sauce. Honestly, it reminded me of spaghetti with penne noodles, but that's totally on me--I picked it knowing it was a simple option, and it still tasted great. Next time I'll probably try a different pasta just to mix things up. We also ordered the cheesy bread and WOW--so good! Gooey, flavorful, and definitely a must-try. The place is family friendly too, which was perfect for us. We saw other families with little ones dining nearby, and our server Liz went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I invited family members and friends to celebrate my confirmation and the Amici's staff went above and beyond to ensure we sat close to each other and received high quality customer service. We decided to try out this place for the first time. We were seated pretty quickly and had a great service. They have various items on the menu ranging from pizza, pasta, salads, soups and appetizers. I only tried the mini Margherita pizza. The different sizes are as follows: mini, small, medium and large. The mini comes with 4 slices that make it perfect for someone wanting to try it. I believe the small size can serve 1-2 people. The medium serves 2-3 and the large would serve 3 and more people. However, there are only a few pizzas that are not able to be ordered as minis. I also decided to try the Fettuccine Alfredo which I was not able to finish. It served as great leftover food. I'm not always the biggest fan of Amici's. The first few times I tried it (delivered) in San Francisco, I really liked it. Then I got tired of the thin crust and didn't really order it very often. When my dear friend and coworker Brenda died unexpectedly a few years back, I carpooled with my supervisor and another friend (and former coworker) to an informal memorial service for Brenda being held at her home in Sacramento. Everyone's emotions were very raw at the service itself, and parts of it were lovely, but since I knew these two people very well, I'm really glad I was with them both on the way there and on the way home, because we were able to at least begin the task of processing Brenda's sudden death and what her absence would mean to us--or at least I was able to begin that task. None of us had eaten any lunch, so we decided to stop on the way back to dropping off my supervisor in the East Bay. I don't remember how we settled on Amici's, but at the time, I didn't really care where we ate. I don't know whether I was hungrier than I realized or whether the heat had gotten to me much more than I knew, but when we were seated and were enjoying a quieter-than-usual but still lively conversation about Brenda and how funny and fierce and ridiculous she was, I started to feel better for the first time in weeks, since the phone call I received from my supervisor informing me that Brenda had died. I don't remember what I ate that day, but I can still picture the expression on our lovely server's face when my friend told her that we were coming back from a funeral, so don't worry if you see us all break into tears. Most of that visit is a blur, but on that day for that brief period of time, Amici's was the place where we talked lovingly about Brenda in an open way. It was a perfect meal for what it was, and our server gave us enough space while still checking on us, refilling our waters, and generally doing her job well in the background. read more

But the star of the show was that firehouse special with honey. It was one of the best pieces of pizza I've had in a long time and they don't skimp on the Detroit style pizza toppings. I have been going here for YEARS! Tonight I learned they have a new menu. Terribly disappointed. I Always order the artichoke panzanella salad with lemon basil vinaigrette, which they no longer carry. The waitress said they were making their menu so the ingredients better meshed with ingredients for other menu items. So they discontinued using artichoke and capers??? These items have quite a lengthy shelf life!! This salad was the perfect blend of so many flavors now lost! For those fellow vegans, this will no longer be the one of the restaurants I recommend, it was one of my top places! They removed some other salads too. The salad was a 10 out of 10... everything was very fresh, no wilted arugula and the dressing was light over the salad... I would go back just for the salad! The pizza was good, nothing to make ya crazy over but I also got a pretty plain pizza. They are generous with the toppings which I appreciate.
