Yes for the value. No for as other people have said the customer service. Very rude, no smiles, straight forward. I also don't like a kitchen when it's blocked by a two way mirror. Never a good sign. Haven't had their pizza, but their calzones are...not worth the price, to put it nicely. I was nearby for a job and was looking forward to some NY pizza, but very, very disappointing. Way too cheesy and not enough toppings (pepperoni and jalapeño) to balance it out. It was pretty good warm, but when I took a bite on my drive home from work, it was bleh. NYPE is the spot! It's tucked away in a janky looking plaza, home to a smoke shop and some other random places I haven't really noticed. There's always a lot of ransoms hanging around outside so just a heads up. It's an unassuming little hole in the wall, but you find treasures where you least expect it sometimes! Their pizza specials are really good! A large combo is $11, and a single topping large is only $6! That's a steal, considering the pizza is pretty damn good. I did order a pesto pizza and added chicken and that came out to be about $22ish so don't expect all their pizzas to be cheap. I would advise going for the specials if you're watching your budget. This place is different because they don't put their toppings on top, ironic right?! The toppings are layered between the sauce and cheese. So, crust, sauce, toppings, then cheese on top! They use a lot of cheese too!! So extra brownie points for that! My dad was super skeptical about getting pizza from this spot. Pizza is a food item that we all can rejoice over. It brings people together and its' purpose is to be shared. Luckily, NY Pizza Express is within our reach for a small gathering with my family. We ordered one 3 Meat Combo pizza and one Veggie pizza (both large) and they were good for a party of six. (We also had other food.) The toppings were plentiful and they did not skimp out unlike other spots that I've experienced. FYI, the pizza is a bit greasy (via Yelpers and my Dad can agree) but pizza is something we don't indulge in often, so it was fine with us for this occasion. Oh man I ordered from this place so many times in one week. I found this place because believe it or not, most of these so-called pizza places do not serve anchovies anymore. These guys did. I've passed this place many a times and didn't think to stop and try them out. My family normally chooses to eat pizza at least once a week. I was tired of the "major" chains and during this pandemic, I was wanting to support my local small businesses. My bestie suggested I try the pizza and I was quite pleased! My family isn't too over the top with their pizza selection; they have the basic menu items and some extras that would suite those with a more advanced pizza palette than my household's. Their pizza crust is quite good. It doesn't taste like cardboard and the texture is very much to my liking, a little thick, but fluffy! The sauce isn't overwhelming and their aren't stingy with their toppings. I will say they aren't in the greatest area, but they are definitely a hidden gem. The staff is friendly; they are quick to serve you. There isn't really a space to wait, so it's definitely suggested to call in your order in advance. The pricing for their pizza is very affordable in comparison to the major chains. It's certainly a place where you get your money's worth. read more

The location was kind of sketchy so we drove around in hopes of finding something else. After 15 mins of no luck, we decided to order from here. When we got home & tried it, we were VERY surprised. Nothing fancy, hole it wall type spot. No thrills or frills. Go in.. Very bare inside, order what you like off the menu... And you will sink your teeth into one tasty pie. 7.99 for a large 3 meat?!! Okay, I've been a resident of Fairfield since 1986 and it wasn't until this year did I try New York Pizza Express, good lord am I glad I did. I literally could eat pizza 3 times a week, especially from here. The crust is light and fluffy and airy and has a good chew not to mention it crisps nicely on the edges. The sauce ratio is on point, it's hearty, has a good acidic balance. Cheesy goodness with a fantastic "cheese pull" (my 12yr old). Now for toppings. They have so many options but we kinda stick to the same things. Again I have little kids and a husband who's picky so one thing we all agree on is BACON. Let that sink in. Crispy. Tasty. Salty. Savory bacon in all of its glory. I don't know what kind of voodoo they do on the bacon but Jesus! Its on another level. No other place here in town has bacon remotely close to the gold they sprinkle atop my pie. Affordable as all hell. A large will feed 4, 3 slices each (sometimes I double cut to give the illusion of more ha ha (I have little kids man). In my book they check all the boxes. This place need to up their prices. They are too cheap. The pizza is great. I used to love round table pizza, But I love this pizza because they have extra layers of cheese and veggies and meat on there Pizza without changing. They need to move and price their pizza like Mikes Mountain Pizza. Mikes pizza suck. Bad customer service and the pizza taste terrible. They don't even know how to make a great pizza. They should follow New York Pizza in Fairfield. I wish they had tables to sit at and a bathroom. But Mikes does have tables and bathrooms but they are tiny and I went to wash my hands and no soap and they are bad at having toilet paper. I had the runs after eating at Mikes. Pizza is ok, but the staff are rude!!!! Girl on the phone took my order, interrupting me several times to speak with a co-worker. Had to repeat my order many times. Ordered a pesto pizza with mushrooms. Got home and opened the box to see a cheese pizza. Called the store only to get rude remarks from the original girl who took my order. She stated I never ordered mushrooms, so it was my fault.. she said if I bring my pizza back, she will give me a refund. Never said anything about correcting the mistake. I also asked he why the prices were higher than posted on their online menu and she said it wasn't updated yet. New York pizza express needs new employees that are polite AND educated, but from reading other reviews the owner is the same way. I will never go back!! read more

This is our family's favorite pizza place in town. When you call they're always ready in 20 minutes. The crust is tasty, good amount of toppings. They're pineapple and Canadian bacon has a great lately smoky flavor to the meat. The price is also very good. Is it the absolute best pizza I've ever had... I had a somewhat complicated order (I wanted half n half) and with the doordash order system that wasn't possible. A simple phone call to them helped me sort it out and give them a headsup.
