    Burnt and terrible tasting
    Shaun M.

Still terrible. I have been three times in six years and it only seems to get worse and worse in this location. Nothing like some burnt mini pesto bread sticks. Although I dont remember asking for mini or burnt.

Great lunch!!! I had a bunless bacon cheeseburger, fries and house salad. My sister had the turkey sandwich on focaccia bread with a house salad. My brother in law had a bacon cheeseburger with fries. And my dog had a plain hamburger patty. The waitress was great! We sat in a nice corner away from everyone, and my little Maltese service dog sat on a chair (as he has been trained to do). The restaurant was nice and cool, it was hot outside. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I didn't get pics of everything, but here is what I have.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious lunch here today. Being a picky eater who loves fresh and healthy options makes it difficult for me to try new places in fear I will be disappointed. Delighted to say everything here tasted delicious and extremely fresh! We each had a Turkey Supremo sandwich, my husband added bacon to his. The focaccia bread was seasoned well and soft, we ordered our sandwiches "hot", which toasted the bread slightly. I enjoyed the starter salad and the minestrone soup as well. Highly recommended from a picky and healthy eater! Our server was friendly and attentive, staff was friendly and engaging! The restaurant is extremely clean and a comfortable place to have lunch.

$6 worth of fries that were ice cold and undercooked on most

All I can say is Wowwww. They are so rude and inept. Completely shocked about my experience. Ordered online. I was roughly 6 minutes after proposed completion time. Walk in and there's a few people in line ahead of me. During such time a server walks by abruptly and was a couple inches from me without saying excuse me, or anything. Tight quarters considering the space and people. A bit rude but ok whatever... but as my experience escalates to more rudeness, duly noted with her. My turn at register. Different person and no hi nothing. "Pick up"she says. Yes and give my name. She goes to retrieve it and says nothing and just hands it to me. Hmmm ok everyone's kinda just weird. Take food home to find the side order of fries we paid for was so small and ice cold. See pic for what $6 of fries gets you here. Ridiculously small portion. I decide to call and inform them. On hold for 10 minutes waiting for manager. It's close to closing time. I hang up and call again. Young man answers. I inform him I just called and was on hold for 10 minutes thinking I was forgotten. He said manager is busy. I said I get that but no one came back to the phone and then he interrupts me, raises his voice and says "Ma'am our manager is busy and she doesn't have time etc etc... extremely rude Ummm I'm sorry this is not where you get to be right. You would think someone would take your name and number Screw this place... I was looking for a new Italian spot and had been frequently ordering from here. No issues until last night. I worked in the food industry for 6 years. I get kids aren't what they used to be, but standards and expectations should be adhered to and consistent. You cannot fix what you do not know about, but now I'm letting them know this way since their phone skills are lacking. Horrible, horrible place. Do better. Would have given it a zero if that was an option.

Grabbed some lunch after a round of pickleball and had a lovely experience. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was attentive to us, and was able to meet all our needs while balancing a busy large party next to us. I ordered some pasta, which was fresh and very good. The rest of my party had pizza and everyone was satisfied. The establishment was clean, and we were happy w supporting a local business. Thank you!

This location is usually on top of their game. I stopped in for a birthday dinner. Since I last been in they had an eggplant sandwich on a focaccia. But had since changed up the menu. I decided on sandwich with a lime salsa Verde/cabbage. It was actually delicious. My gripe is about my daughters burger she ordered. She never asked for a plain one. But they brought out a plain one. No fixings, not even cheese. It probably would have not been that bad to eat if it was a traditional hamburger bun, but it was not....the bread was a bit hard and of course dry to bite into because there was no condiments on it. We sent it back they put some toppings on... but no condiments on the bread she just had a difficult time trying to eat this. By then her fries were cold . This has not deterred me from returning. I really love the food here. We just won't be ordering the burger anymore.

I do really enjoy this place.. the food seems to be pretty consistent.. I came here for lunch and just wanted a slice of pizza and salad. My daughter wanted the pesto tortellini and minestrone. The bred basket was delicious per usual... I dipped some into the soup and both were delicious, the minestrone was good, had a strong taste of ham, and lots of meat and veggies. I tried a bite of the tortellini the rich creamy pesto sauce was positively amazing!!! My salad did not disappoint, I love Mary's salads.. the toppings and the ranch are so good!!! If I could I would eat it daily! And the pizza... just a simple pepperoni pizza, cooked with a crispy edge and crispy pepperoni's it was very good.

My family stopped in to eat here to support my boys school because this restaurant offers 20% for donations. The food was very good. I ordered the meatball sandwich which I thought was perfectly made. I should have asked for melted mozzarella on top and parmesan cheese but other than that I thought it was delicious. Minestrone could have used more seasonings but tasted nice with the fresh bread and butter that came to the table. My children ordered the chicken strip meal and they really enjoyed it. The waitress was very attentive and the restaurant was super clean. We will be coming back again to try the pizza, I heard it was amazing as well.

Mangiamo! [Downtown Vacaville CA]…read more I wanted to take my daughter out to lunch and this was her choice. She loves pasta and she wanted to try out this Italian restaurant. It was a first for both of us. The restaurant was located in Downtown Vacaville and I was worried about not finding parking nearby. Luckily, we did find a couple of slots open. The restaurant had a nice Italian-themed decor and we were led to a cozy section towards another part of the restaurant. Nereida ("Neri") was our amazing server. Very friendly and engaging. From their lunch menu I ordered the Spaghetti with Salsiccia $22 and my daughter opted for the Prawn, Fish Tip, Clam Meat Scampi $26. I had a sample of her dish and the lemon butter sauce was tangy and very flavorful. Delicious! I really enjoyed my spaghetti! The salsiccia is the mild Italian sausage, typically made from pork and seasoned with various spices like garlic, onions, sweet peppers, tomatoes, green onion. Overall we had a nice first time experience and Neri, our server, was wonderful! Review #4046

Not that she needs my help or my review for her business, but I offer it gladly and with good credential behind it. 2 1/2 years as a regular there; at least once a week for the missus and I, and with good reason. This is not your ordinary Italian Restaurant and being originally from NYC, and 1st generation born Italian American, I think I can say I know my sauces. Fuso's I suspect is a fusion type restaurant. I never asked. BUT- You can get the usual Italian Fair in appetizers like fried calamari, and main courses like Eggplant or Chicken Parm; both of which are excellent and served a bit different than most places I've eaten in. Their Sauce is excellent, and besides the usual side of angel hair or pasta, you also get a nice portion of fresh vegetable Prima vera, nicely steamed. In the mood for a Poke Dish? FUSO's has it, nicely presented and plentiful. Its called an appetizer but I've had it as a meal. Seafood, salmon, pasta's with a mix of shellfish and nice sized prawns in a red or white sauce, to prime cuts of steak and filet mignons for the hearty carnivore are all here and reasonably priced. Luncheon menus from burgers to daily specials with fresh house salads, a nice wine list, beers bottled and on tap and full service bar to complement your tastes in beverages. The staff at Fuso's is top notch, friendly, great service, and if you have a special request not on the menu-just ask. If it's possible they will make it for you. As if that wasn't enough, Fuso' offers daily Happy Hour drink and food specials starting at 3:30. If you ever find yourself in the Vacaville area, Downtown Vacaville is worth going to and checking out Fuso's.

We had different servers who attended to us and they're both friendly and looked cheerful. We got there towards the end of Happy Hour and was presented with their Happy Hour menu. The menu is small, easy to read and has almost everything we'd want for that time of day - including the drinks. The food is a 'hit' or 'miss'. Here's my review: Drinks: Both the Arnold Palmer and the Cadillac Margarita were good. My lemonade tea wasn't overly sweet and I could definitely taste the lemonade. The pitcher of Cadillac Margarita looks innocent but may give someone a slow and powerful buzz if you're not used to the drink. (4.75 of 5) Charcuterie: This a complete appetizer board. Overall, there were some hits and misses, however, we agreed this is a well thought out appetizer board. (4 of 5) Crispy Brussels Sprouts: This is the best dish here, featuring deeply caramelized, dark golden-brown edges and a nutty, earthy flavor. Their Crispy Brussels Sprouts is also the best we've had. The seasoning is on-point, allowing the texture to show off its crackling, crunchy bite on the outside, contrasted by a tender, melt-in-your-mouth interior. (5 of 5) Seasonal Tacos: "Oh WOW!" The explosion of spicy and tangy flavours balanced by contrasting textures makes this dish "pop". (4.75 of 5) Beet Salad: The colours were lovely, but this beet salad was over-salted. The vibrant dish featuring beets as the main ingredient, balances the earthy sweetness with contrasting textures and flavours. If this wasn't too salty, it would have been more refreshing. (3.75 of 5) Coconut Lime Bouillabaisse (halibut, jasmine rice, spinach, snap pea, pickled shiitake mushroom, coconut lime broth, basil oil): Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought Bouillabaisse means seafood. The only seafood we noticed were chunks of halibut, which were delicious. This dish looks and tastes more like an elevated Thai soup dish that cost too much. (3.5 of 5) After walking in, we decided to sit outdoors because of the loud music that was playing. We're glad we did. The overhang on the veranda was well positioned with plants and flowers softening the cement walkway. The weather was pleasant - with a gentle breeze blowing down the corridor. Parking is easy if you arrive early enough. One last note: Back Door Bistro in Vacaville was featured on "Check, Please! Bay Area"

The tandoori chicken was tender and well seasoned -- no dry chicken nonsense here. The butter chicken was exactly what you want it to be: rich, creamy, tomato-forward, and comforting. But the one that caught me off guard a bit was the coconut shrimp -- creamy, slightly sweet, and a little more mild than "medium" heat, probably because of the coconut milk, but still really good. And listen... the butter naan? Fresh, warm, and absolutely necessary. Both the butter chicken and coconut shrimp were made for dipping. No shame in wiping those plates clean. Service was great. Our server, Johnathan, was amazing, he was super friendly, attentive, courteous, and genuinely funny. You can tell he truly cares about the customers he is taking care of by the experience and the service he provides to them. I made a few modifications to my salad and he made sure everything still came out perfect. He was consistent with checking in at the right times, he kept our waters full, made sure we always had fresh bread, and every dish came out exactly right, at the right times.. Nothing felt rushed but we also never had to wait on anything. Great service really makes or breaks a meal, and he definitely made the whole experience stand out. We'll be hoping to sit in his section again next time. Thank you Johnathan for a great night.

Apparently 20 minutes was too soon, because I was pretty much abandoned during that time. Now, it was fairly busy, but all the tables around me had their servers checking on them pretty often. During that time, with numerous servers around me, none of the staff even interacted with me. So, I called it at 20 minutes and left. This isn't even the first time I've had an experience like this. If things are going to be like this, OG could at least implement ordering the entire menu from the ziosk because I used to really like going to this Olive Garden location.
