Came by to eat it at Amici's and have a great time. I have to say I've taken takeout from here and the pizza is very good. I love the decor, especially that big backdrop NY picture. They have behind the red wall really brings home back. Now for the food; first they have a full bar. Everybody in the staff is very nice. Bartenders are nice. They're very attentive and they have a lot of great appetizers . now we tried the Bolognese pasta and it was amazing but this time we came in for Pizza . Also, great prices on wine so I had a glass of chianti and I also had a drink , very reasonable pricing. We ordered the onions and peppers and sausage pizza and it was amazing large slices and this is not like your regular large slice is not that are not even bigger than your hand, I mean these are large slices enough for us to have lunch the next day. So to make a long story short the crust was great, great sauce , love the ingredients are fresh and a sausage is crumbled my favorite. This is probably my favorite place. The garlic bread is amazing. It's kind of like fluffy not too thick with plenty of oil and garlic just the right way. Again I can't say enough the Bolognese pasta is amazing. It's probably one of the best I've had and so is the rest of their menu and they always have great specials always on the board. Staff is very friendly. The owner is always there. I've been coming here for over 20 years at this point. It's a nice spot in a popular hammocks shopping center. Occasionally they'll even have a Sinatra impersonator! Amici's isn't going to win an award for the best Italian food in town but it's is solid, consistent, and reliable. The pizza is great and you can buy the dough to make your own pizza at home. I've never had an issue with service and you'll usually see the owner on-site which I believe is the key to their consistency. Some of my favorites are the pizza, lasagna, and chicken parm. read more

My husband and I come in to amici's at least once a month and also order take out, maybe twice a month. Food and service are always great. Today we placed our take out order , my husband goes to pick up & they realized they gave our order to someone else - no biggie , he waits , unfortunately because of this delay he was not able to eat before going into work, but it's okay . He drops off our food and there is no sauce on my pizza.. I ordered a pizza with "white sauce, ham & mushrooms" .. I call the store and the manager not once , not twice , but three times insists I confused them when I placed my order because I didn't say "Alfredo pizza".. so pretty much saying it was my fault even though I explained I wanted "white sauce on my pizza".. anyway he offered to make an "Alfredo pizza" but at this point I was over how he handled it, so I told him to forget it. I drove to the store with the full pizza box , the hostess apologized for the misunderstanding (she was very nice) she went to get the manager, & he came up as if nothing , issued the refund , no apology no nothing .. remember , they also messed up giving away our order . its 7:20pm on 7/9/2025- I want to say the managers name is Enrique. read more

It's Friday, 29 May and my wife and I are here at Amicis because it's the veal osso bucco which they make and it's the best osso bucco in this town. The place is packed. The atmosphere is awesome. Can we do negative stars? I've been a loyal Amici's customer for 23 years -- but today, May 8, 2025 was the last straw. The quality has hit rock bottom. My wife's usual gnocchi was awful, the worst we've had. The customer service is a joke. You call, they throw you on hold for five minutes without a proper greeting, yelling "Amici's, can you hold?" It's rude and unprofessional. The pizza is inconsistent -- sometimes decent, often bad. The only good thing left is the Colombian delivery guy, who's always helpful and polite. But one good employee doesn't make up for a failing restaurant. I'm done with Amici's. Fix your food, fix your staff, and fix your service -- or more loyal customers will walk away just like I did. read more

The food is very good; however, at lunch time with 1/4 restaurant occupied it takes 45 minutes to receive food if you complain. Not good for business lunch or if you need to get out at reasonable time for theater etc. The Kitchen seems to be the problem. read more

The Fettuccine Alfredo with Shrimp aka spaghetti with shrimp in Pomodoro sauce requested order was very tasty. The only issue that I had with this order is that even though the Pomodoro sauce and al dente pasta were delicious, the shrimp were medium than usual and the texture was a bit soft and smushy vs jumbo-sized and firm-sized and firm. The Lentil Soup was mildly flavored and tasty. My husband and kids LOVE the Spaghetti with Meatballs. The side of parmesan garlic bread were too soaked in olive oil. So much so that only two member of my household finished them and the other two did not like them because the soaked oil was over whelming. The small Amici's Side Salad was fresh. Though I requested a side salad dressing for all salads and we got a 1/4 cup of olive oil with unsalted grounded spices inside of the oil. However, not exactly what we asked for. The side 1/4 cups grounded parmesan cheese was delicious with the pastas. So, thanks for doing that right! read more

I placed an online order for two entrees on their own website. One of the options is to select the dressing you want for the salad. When my son arrived to pick up the order, the lady at the register said that the salad wasn't included with the meal after he noticed that the salads weren't in the bag. When he showed her a screenshot of the order and recommended that they update their website if it isn't included, her response was "our customers know that it's not included". The food was not great and came out in the worst order. We ordered cocktails and asked about bread. The server returned without drinks or water or bread and, instead, took our entrée order. No biggie, food started coming to the table. Keep in mind...no water or cocktails yet. Salads came out first. Then our entrees arrived. Hi! So I might be a little biased because I grew up eating here. So for that reason I decided to bring a couple friends who had never been to get unbiased opinions. I love this place. My favorite thing to order is off the menu, a baked ziti with pink AND meat sauce. It is my greatest comfort food. On this visit, I ordered it again and as always I had a great time. My friends ordered the Amici Ziti and Carbonara. We also split a pizza and calamari. We left no crumbs. Everyone not only enjoyed their food but was eager to come again. I have been eating here for over 10 years and I have got to say they still got it. Every friend I bring is always grateful I brought them. I should mention that the portions are large here so we shared plates. Now, I do have to admit that the Sangria was a little disappointing and it took a long time to be serviced. The best garlic rolls ever full of parmesan, olive oil and garlic. My husband ordered the Spaghetti Pomodoro and he said the tomato sauce was delicious and my Amici's Ziti with eggplant was very nicely prepared and served and with good flavor. We came here for the first time in many, many years. We we so pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The ambiance is delightful. Music selection was great and not too loud. Our server was cheerful and attentive. This is my third visit to this restaurant and the food, service and atmosphere has always been good. I was always greeted and seated quickly. Our waitress always checked on us to make sure everything was ok. The food tasted good not over seasoned with always large portions and reasonably priced. I never went here during there busy hours so I can't speak for those times but my guess is that this local place can get very busy. You can call to make reservations, I couldn't find a way to do this on line.
