This is not just a regular review for me because before Pane e Vino took residence here, this use to be a bakery that I visited very often. It holds so much nostalgia for me. It was a bakery for many, many years, even after I left Miami Beach, when I'd come visit, I made sure to get a pastelito de carne with an orange juice and then one day; the bakery was gone and Pane e Vino was here in its place. As illogical as it may be, I held resentment towards Pane e Vino because of this. I'd grumble and scowl when I'd walk by until one day I saw a man making fresh pasta at the window. Yes, this piqued my interest. I then looked at the menu, and I saw a lot of wonderful variety, but mostly that their pasta is made fresh so it occurred to me that in this instance perhaps one legendary establishment can become another one in this place, and I decided I needed to give this restaurant a chance. I have some friends who join me often when I go to Miami Beach and so we ordered a bunch of dishes to share. I'm really glad we had our waitress Pilar steer us in the right direction. I love truffle anything and she highly recommended the truffle arancini. I'm soooo glad we got it, and that was probably one of my favorite things to eat ever. I have never had such creamy polenta in my life. the truffle and cheese in this was enough to almost bring me to tears. This is how great food is done. Even the salad and the simple dressing was amazing, really fresh and delicious. We tried three different pasta dishes, but my favorite without a doubt was the lamb ragu. This dish was everything. The lamb was so tender and flavorful. You know that lamb will sometimes have a gamey flavor? Not this dish. My second favorite pasta dish was the truffle ravioli. It's not like a truffle infused oil or salt they used, its actual shaved truffle, so delicious. The bread, the good quality olive oil, everything was fantastic. Even though my beloved bakery belongs to the past; in its place is now another magnificent establishment that I will look forward to visiting whenever I'm in Miami Beach. read more

Amazing time and amazing quality of food! We loved seeing them make fresh pasta in the front of the restaurant. The dim lighting sets the mood from the busy Miami streets. The truffle on the Agnolotty was exceptionally tasty. The ravioli exploded with flavor and umami in your mouth. The Veal in the Parpadelle was tender and had robust and aromatic flavor. The texture of the pasta complemented the sauce and the way the veal mingled with the plate. The Pacchery had a more delicate flavor. The shrimp was well cooked and tasty but the quality of the pasta really shined on this one. This was one meal for the books! Come here for date night or with friends you will love it! CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH! Dined on a Wednesday night with reservations, place was full by 8 PM. From the moment you walk in the staff are nothing but welcoming and kind. The small space has such a cozy charm that makes you feel like you're dining in the heart of Italy. Our server Mirko gave us time to review the menu and made sure to answer any questions we had. He was very friendly and attentive without overly hovering, and made sure everything arrived while it was still hot from the kitchen. The food was SPECTACULAR! A meal I will certainly never forget. It's such a cute little date night!! There's outdoor seating as well but we sat indoor. It's well decorated, darker as seen in pic giving a romantic vibe. There's a lady at the front hand making the pasta!! You can tell it's fresh. Service was great - Pilar, our waitress made a fantastic recommendation for my dish and it did not disappoint! Pane e Vino is such a cute, intimate restaurant with the best cozy ambiance. One of my favorite parts was watching the pasta being made fresh right there, which really adds to the experience. I had a reservation and was seated right away. I ordered the Agnolotti Piemontesi and wow I was completely blown away. I'm usually not the biggest ravioli person, but this was so flavorful, incredibly filling, and had me wanting more. We also got the Guazzetto di Cozze and it was amazing. The mussels came in a spicy broth and were absolutely delicious. They start you off with complimentary bread, which was a great touch, and honestly everything we tried was a hit. If you're tired of the overpriced, underperforming tourist-trap-of-a-restaurant food that's rampant in South Beach, then you need to book a table ASAP at Pane e Vino. This place is the real deal. The food tastes original, authentic, and made with genuine passion for the food (not just to turn a quick buck in South Beach). It was possibly the best meal we had on our trip there. The staff was charming and the dining area tight and cozy (our street table was fun and bustling but not for the claustrophobics-at-heart). We were welcomed right away. We didn't have to wait to be seated. I thought we would have to wait because we discussed not have a reservation but I was wrong. The decor was warm and felt very cozy and romantic type of vibe. The staff being so welcoming we felt like we belonged, like part of the family. E eru single detail and items that hanged on the wall made it feel like we stepped far away from home and were transported to Italy. Our waitress was so friendly and easy going. She pointed us to the right direction on what to order after asking for her advice on what is good. Her name, Pilar! Superb service! She was an excellent waitress! She was attentive and like I said gave us some great advice on what was popular and what she recommended. Everything she adviced us to get we did. And we did not regret any of it. We loved everything! She knew exactly what she was talking about. And did also asked if we had any allergies or if any of us didn't like a certain food. She truly was looking out for our interests, as it should be. I personally loved how happy she was to sew how happy we were when we tried and loved the plates she recommended. She did her job perfectly. I hope next time she is our waitress. Although it might be a while since we live in Orlando but she really made out evening pleasant and satisfying to want to return. Octopus and some risotto dish if I recall correctly. It does not matter my memory, anything you order will be very good. Our dinners were varied and sadly I don't recall what we each ordered but I ordered the dish where they turn your freshly cooked pasta in a cheese wheel and serve. This is prepared table side. My friends and I got the spaghetti made in a Parmesan wheel, ravioli, squid ink spaghetti, mussels and tiramisu. They also give some great free bread and include some olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt pepper and red crushed pepper on the side. My family's first time visiting Miami and relied again on Yelp to guide us to some of the best places to eat in town. Pane e Vino did not disappoint. Walk along Española Way and there are restaurants, one after another. I have learned from my travels abroad (ex-flight crew), including a trip to Italy earlier this year, that if there are people (salesmen) inviting you to come in, it's likely mediocre. Pane e Vino is tucked away off Espanola, a very small but sweet restaurant with the ambience of sitting in Nonna's dining room. There is no one standing at the front door trying to wave you in. I rarely give 5 star reviews. But the service and details were impeccable. My family of 4 had the pleasure of being served by Mirko, one of the nicest and most attentive servers we have had in awhile. He guided us through recommendations on the menu. We ordered the branzino, pesto gnocchi, bolognese with meat sauce, truffle ravioli, Caesar salad, Chianti and finished with a crème brûlée and tiramisu that is made table side which I have never seen before. Usually it is assembled in advance and the fingers absorb the coffee and liquor, preferably overnight. This preparation was a treat to watch. Not exactly authentic but I truly appreciated the presentation and effort. Loved the clever storage of the mascarpone cream! Back to the main entrees: my favorite dish was the branzino fish. Perfectly cooked with just the right amount of flavor in the olive and caper sauce. The vegetables were also delicious. The pasta and sauces were fresh, fantastic and flavorful. I did find it a tad salty for my taste but a very minor detail and personal preference. It was a very busy Saturday night and the wait for our food was quite long. But the service is what made up for it. I appreciated the attention Mirko gave us. He recognized that we had been waiting awhile for our main entrees. He made us feel like we were his best customers even though it was our first time visiting. In a world where people rarely admit fault, it was so refreshing to be recognized, without saying a word, without being upset. We so appreciated Mirko's graciousness. If you are looking for a sweet memorable restaurant with fresh pasta and unbelievable service, head to Pane e Vino. Ask for Mirko and be good and kind to him. Came here with my partner and we absolutely loved it. The appetizers were okay in my opinion (I liked the burratina more than the octopus), but the pasta was 1000% the best I've ever had. Handmade in-house, with a worker at the window rolling and cutting new pasta, it was both authentic and flavorful. We had Pilar as our server and she was both attentive and super helpful.
