Robert spent 2 hrs with us on our consultation, understanding the unique issue with our driveway's french drain, walking the property, answering our many questions, showing us designs/cuts, etc. French drains require highly technical skills and experience, and Robert has it all. Previous contractors have said "it's fine", but Robert knew the exact issue, even tested it with pouring water to demonstrate it, and very carefully explained to us the proposed solution. They showed up on time to fix the drain and prep the driveway, and he came with a big crew so it was done very quickly. They quickly solved any problems that came up (like when we found old sprinkler pipes that I didn't know about under the driveway). When Robert was fixing the drain, he would show us what he was doing and explain it, using his leveler to make sure that everything was precise and perfect. It was all consistent with the plan we discussed at the consult. On the day of pouring, they showed up early and as soon as the concrete truck arrived, they jumped into action. We watched the entire time and these guys made it look so easy -- they are that good! Again, Robert was out there directing his team to make sure not a spot was missed, using his leveler to check everything, etc. They cleaned up the job site very well and it was all such a smooth process. Their work was impeccable, Robert is a great person and has the right experience, and we knew we could trust him to get the job done.

They described a parque floor with herringbone edges as "easy". It easily quadrupled the time to install the floor and the over all result has some issues. It was not manipulative, it was just poor advice for novice floor install. They ended up selling us *less* wood than they would have because one quarter of the patten used wood we already owned. They are honest and have good prices. However their advice is not for novices. In they should enquire if the costumer has experience before recommending expert level floor patterns.

Why would anyone agree to pay $5000 to clean windows and not hold them responsible for damages they cause to a new house. I called and had another company give me a price of $2200 which is less than half what Alta Vista wanted and they are not asking to be held not responsible for damages. These guys are more than twice every one else out there. Shop around these guys are charging way too much.
