Menu from FB page, dated May 2021

Been wanting to try their food after reading about how much they went through to be able to stay open in the Oakland area. If you're not familiar with them, they are a food truck that is parked on the left side of the Exxon gas station on Highway 64 just east of the 196 intersection. First time here. It was a blazing hot day around noon. They were kind of busy. I'm including a picture of their menu that they had posted on their FB page in May. Prices are the same for the most part. Tacos are now $2.50 each. I ordered some tacos-- 2 steak and 2 chicken-- and cheese dip with chips. Their tacos come on soft corn tortillas and have meat of your choice, onions, and cilantro. Each one gets a small cup of green salsa. Cheese dip comes in an 8 oz container. Chips are fresh made and are $1.00 extra. The best thing I got was the cheese dip. Great flavor. Not too mild, not too hot. The chips were fresh and crispy. The tacos were loaded with grilled meat. The steak on mine was cut so small, as a result, it cooked very quickly and by the time they pulled it, it was tough. The chicken was cut in larger pieces, but it too had been left on the grill too long. Both would have been much juicier if they had been pulled earlier. The meat itself did not have a lot of seasoning. The cilantro and onions did add some. The salsa they included with the tacos was excellent. It's one of those they should sell by the cup, if they don't already. Perfect seasoning, not very hot but so flavorful. It brought the dry tacos to life. The best part was the cheese dip and the friendly service. The worst was the wait. She told everybody it would be about 5 minutes, but in reality, it was 30. I'm a wimp, and standing in the blazing hot sun for that long wasn't pleasant. Maybe they could get an awning for the truck so people could get out of the sun while they waited. Or maybe they could prepare some of their items ahead of time to make their cooking times less. All in all, it was worth the money and we'll be back. For the amount of meat you get and that delicious salsa, the tacos are a great deal.

They're breakfast burritos are so good! Employees are very friendly as well. Can't wait to try their sopes next

The Mexican Street Rice was next level good. The restaurant itself is small and cozy, but it has a pretty cool vibe and the decor is nice. The biggest issue was the service. The employee working the cash register came across as rude and unfriendly, as if customers were inconveniencing him. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt like we were being treated poorly, which put a damper on the entire visit. While the food tasted good, the portions were a bit skimpy on ingredients for the price. Considering how expensive everything was, I expected better value and a more positive customer experience. I know this restaurant has plenty of fans, but I found some of the employees to be arrogant and dismissive. The treatment we received felt rude and unprofessional, and it left a lasting negative impression. Overall, I am deeply disappointed. Good food can only make up for so much, and the poor service overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable meal. I would not return based on the way we were treated. It's very clean but very old stuff and to much on display with old plants everywhere.

I am a self proclaimed beer snob so having options other than the usual Miller Lite, Mich Ultra, or Lord forbid the fruity Bud Light is awesome. Their menu is pretty limited. One burger option, a handful of flatbreads or a pretzel, that's it. I'd like to see some wings or some burger options and even a salad or two for the tagalong wives or girlfriends would be nice. We ordered a couple of flatbread pizzas. They were a little thick for our tastes but VERY good nonetheless. We had a veggie and a sausage. A couple came in after us and ordered burgers and they looked great. Maybe next time. Service was okay. Dude seemed a little distracted but it might be because he was the only one left on a Sunday evening. I had a Batlast Red IPA which was also delicious! I'll be back but I'll probably have to talk my wife into it.

I've never met him before, but it felt like we'd been acquaintances for years! We stopped in on a quiet Tuesday afternoon. So the ambiance was subtle and relaxing. Some old blues tunes were playing through the sound system, which made the atmosphere just that much more inviting! The aroma wafting from the kitchen was antagonizing my, already, empty stomach....I couldn't wait for the burgers to hit the table! We watched others getting their food as we waited our turn and it was extremely enticing. From the flatbreads to burgers to the oversized pretzels on the menu! They seem to be covering the gambit of what a hungry appetite would be looking for. I went with the burger...and I did NOT choose poorly! WOW!!! They have live music as well...looks like that's just about every weekend!

Overall, I did enjoy the flavors across the board. The thin and crispy chips along side of the tasty salsa were great. I tried the chile relleno and enchilada combo and ordered a side taco. The relleno and enchilada were tasty. I did ask for a cheese enchilada, which came out with beef in it, and I did ask for a shredded beef taco which came out with ground beef instead. Not perfect, and I didn't say anything. Shortly into our meal our waitress came over and handed me a shredded beef taco. I really appreciated the fact that she caught that mistake and corrected it perfectly. I also ordered a shot of tequila with an ice cube, and it came out in a full glass of ice, lol. Not perfect, but I still took it down. Overall, I enjoyed my trip here and would stop in again. Side note, if they would make their own hard shells like they do here in the southwest, the shredded beef taco would have been top notch! I'm just not used to the pre-made shells.
