Talk about a hidden gem! This restaurant is located in Riverside but could easily compete with restaurants located on Hertel or Elmwood. The restaurant itself is absolutely spotless! You can see into the kitchen and that is also absolutely spotless. The aroma of rotisserie chicken fills your nose as soon as you walk in and you can usually spot them in the kitchen. We ordered rolls (wraps). I got the chicken shawarma wrap and it was delicious. The spices, vegetables and chicken were spot on. The French fries have a distinct seasoning on them and were phenomenal. If you aren't sure what to get they have an Instagram page overflowing with the many dishes they have to offer. Unfortunately, very disappointed at the service. The food is OK. With so many Halal restaurants in town probably won't return just because of the service!! We went to dine in. Server bought us two dishes (a small bowl of hummus and some salad like sides ) . We didn't know it was not meant to be for us and started to dig in thinking they are free starters . lol The owner ( lady) walked in and started yelling at the poor server shouting at him, saying that the order was for another table . Poor kid ! We were kind of taken it back. She started picking up the food , but realized that they had been touched. Made a face and left them there . Anyhow we didn't touch it not knowing what she wanted to do . She walked back and started taking the order And believe it or not, actually added those two starters to our bill even though we had an ordered it. And did not even eat them. I asked her to take it back and she did !!! Such a turn off. No matter how great their food is, doesn't justify the behavior and attitude. I would say it's probably good as a take out place only . Delicious authentic cuisine. Chef Amira is very nice and takes pride in serving fresh (not frozen) food. The food has great flavor and is served with love. I ordered the Mansaf, which was on special. This is a traditional Palestinian dish of rice and lamb with a delicious sauce made from lamb's milk. I also ordered the chicken shwarma roll with fries and the mix and match manakeesh. Amira's has recently moved to the location on Cleveland Drive that formerly was Mr. Bill's. The restaurant serves Middle Eastern specialties many of witch cannot be found elsewhere in the area. My wife and I were in a chicken mood our last time there and had the 1/2 rotisserie chicken and Tawook chicken. In all honesty the rotisserie chicken was among the best I have ever eaten, Served with two generous sides (I had hummus and tabbouleh the portion was so generous that I took half of it home. The tawook chicken was marinated tenders with a very tasty rice made with slivered almonds also delicious and made in a Turkish style. Amira is very welcoming and proud of the quality of her food. Meats are Halal if that matters to you but what mattered to me was the taste. The service was relaxed and the newly remodeled restaurant is clean and cozy. Highly recommended. read more

All the Middle Eastern staples are outstanding: grilled meats, aromatic rice with almonds, mujadara (rice and lentils with caramelized onions), lentil soup, hummus, kibbeh... and the most perfectly ethereal manakeesh (fluffy, almost flaky delicate dough rounds covered with cheese, meat or zaatar). Their toum (garlic sauce) is addictive. They recently moved to a spacious location near the airport, very convenient for dining in and takeout. And the owners are super kind and friendly. The mixed platter is a fusion of incredibly tender meats and fluffy rice. And the most thrilling was the manakeesh. Do the mixed platter, you will not regret it. If possible, I never eat at a chain restaurant when on the road. This restaurant jumped out at me and I thought " why not?" My driver informed me it was relatively newly opened. The ambiance was clean and inviting with diners scattered throughout the seating area. I was cheerfully greeting by Amira herself who invited me to seat wherever I'd like. I was given iced water immediately and asked it I needed any help with the menu. I narrowed my preferences but let her decide on my choice ( the lamb chops) which she assured me was her personal favorite. I told her I wasn't a huge salad eater so she suggested a substitute of hummus. The pita bread was warm and the hummus was wonderful with a generous drizzle of olive oil and middle eastern spices. The lamb arrived shortly after with the house rice /vermicelli medley. The lamb chops were seasoned and sliced to expose the fat to the flame making the Chops perfectly cooked.
