We have stayed at this hotel three times and have had a wonderful experience each time. We love that they have an adults-only wing. The view from the rooms is of an actual Amish farm. We loved the beauty of this scene and watching them work their fields. The room itself is well appointed with a lovely shower that is large enough for two, plus a wonderful tub with a television to watch. There is a sofa and a reclining chair in the room as well as a desk and rolling desk chair, meaning there are plenty of options for relaxing in this spacious room. We loved the wet bar that is included in the room as well and the large windows. They offer a free breakfast that includes several options including made to order eggs. When in the area we always go out of our way to stay here. read more

An absolutely great hotel. It's hard to imagine a place in 'the country' so unpretentious but 5-star in their delivery. The rooms are huge, extremely clean and well maintained, the bathrooms feature a claw-foot tub and huge walk-in showers, the view from the rooms are out onto an Amish farm with an Amish school house off in the distance. Their breakfast is also top notch with a great variety. My wife and I travel a lot and we honestly score this as high or higher than 5-star hotels we've stayed at in Europe and the US. From reading the reviews prior to booking we arrived expecting to be happy with the Inn but everything from the great staff, really nice room, calming view of the Amish farms, and really good breakfast exceeded our expectations. The hotel is amazing, we had a two bedroom suite with two bathrooms. This was perfect as I had taken my mom on a short getaway. The rooms were large and very clean. One bathroom had a large soaking tub, which was great after a long day traveling and shopping. My only complaint is the guy who checked us in was not friendly at all. This gem is in the heart of Amish country in PA. It is amidst an Amish farm with a beautiful view of the corn and vegetable fields. It is so quiet and away from the malls and heavy traffic of Lancaster's outlet malls. That would be about a 20 minute drive. We were there for a concert at the American Music Theater which was not far away. The room was VERY comfortable. We had a small kitchenette that included a refridgerator and coffee area with a microwave. Breakfast buffet is included every morning. If you go please remember that in this area, Bird in Hand, all of the businesses such as stores and restaurants are closed on Sundays. read more

What an awesome place to stay when in Amish Country! Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Moderately priced. We stayed in their 2 BR suite. It was huge! Comfy beds and a nice little kitchen area with a nice size fridge, stove and plates/cups/utensils provided. What was the best was their pool! We pretty much had it to ourselves. Added bonus was their inclusive breakfast which was pretty robust - think a buffet at a restaurant. Will definitely be staying here again next time in area although the room we stayed in books fast! This is one of the nicest hotels in the Lancaster area that is not a major chain. It appears to be recently refurbished. The room was nicely decorated and clean. It smelled fresh and didn't have that typical hotel room stale odor that seems so commonplace. There was a large TV, a tv in the bathroom, a fridge, microwave and coffee and tea. The bathroom was like a spa and very appealing. The room was quiet since we were staying in adults only section!! This was our second stay here, the first was last May. This time we celebrated our 4th Wedding Anniversary. Like last time, Ben checked us in. He was very friendly and patient. The lobby keeps fresh coffee, hot water with assorted teas, and cakes or cookies available. Unlike most places we have stayed at, the items in this area are refreshed consistently. The hotel is in excellent condition, the grounds are well-maintained. The location includes a popular restaurant and several tourist attractions. I am not reviewing that aspect, just letting you know to take this into consideration if you stay here, which I recommend. Our room, in the Adult Building, was clean and comfortable. The king bed was very nice, we slept very well. The sheets were clean and did not have any odors (as in no bleach or fragrance). The view, overlooking the local farm property, was fabulous. There was a very large flat screen TV and a small refrigerator with small freezer shelf. Lots of space to move around. There was also a nice tub, two sinks, and a very large shower. There is a small grocery store within walking distance, Amish owned so closed Sundays. On a Saturday or holiday getting to local attractions might require you to leave early, traffic each way can back up with all the tourist destinations a few miles either way. Otherwise, you are about 10 to 15 minutes from Wonderland, the outlets, Sight and Sound; a few minutes from Kettle Kitchen and less than half an hour from Green Dragon or downtown Lancaster. This is a great way to gey away from the congestion yet still be close enough to get there. There may be less expensive options in the area, just remember you do get what you pay for. read more

This hotel was by one of my favorite hotels I have stayed in in Lancaster. From the minute I checked in to the minute I checked out the staff is super friendly. And very caring for their guest. John checked us in and he made Sure that we had our reservations set for Miller's since we got their package that they offer. The room was located in the 18+ section of the hotel. Which was so beautiful and quite. They have DVDs for you to rent from kids movies to scary movies. They have a free hot buffet breakfast included in your room stay. We just returned from a 2 night stay at the Amishview Inn and the staff was wonderful from check-in to checkout. Very professional, courteous and always helpful when we had a question or concern. The room was extremely clean as was the lobby gathering area. The daily breakfast, which was included, was quality and delicious...made to order eggs, omelettes and Belgium waffles...not to mention local cinnamon buns that were incredible. My wife and I stayed here for our second anniversary this past April. We got a package deal for one of the nights where you get a coupon for The Millers buffet, a bottle of wine and a few other things I forget at the moment, but everything (except the buffet) was excellent. Hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel breakfast was great. Nice friendly workers as well and plenty of food to choose from. We stayed on the adult side. It was very quiet. The rooms were very clean. Big spacious bathroom. The bed was a king and very comfortable. We had a view on the farm side behind the hotel which was very nice to see every morning. Didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked nice and clean. Only issue I had which wasn't really a big deal was the wifi. For some reason I was never able to get a good signal anywhere in the hotel. This hotel also has another side for family's. Not sure how that side was, when we went there weren't many kids. I know the rooms are a little different tho from the adult side. Would definitely stay again! read more

This IS a 5 star hotel! ThanksGiving Week, Star ratings on hotels are listed by amenities. But should also include staff service, views, cleanliness, grounds and hotel conditions. I've been in the Hospitality industry (Guest Services, Restaurant, Retail and Environmental) for excess of 40+ yrs, and this IS one of the few 3 Star Hotels that IS really a 5 Star Hotel. This is not normal for me to give this review! Upon driving into the parking lot, you'll notice the liter free, cleaned grounds and lot. They Care! Walking into the hotel you'll notice clean doors and glass. They Care! You'll also notice there is no dust/spider webs on ledges or wall decorations. Upon check-in, we were greeted with smiles and eye to eye contact. Full attention was given to us, as if we're celebrities. Check-in was extremely efficient, we were asked if we needed help with our bags. We were also informed of the area offerings and accommodations of the hotel. The staff went over and beyond our expectations. This was the start of a WOW experience! Everywhere the place was clean, elevators,doors, light switches, no dirt or dust! The room looked as if it was completely cleaned AND detailed. Bed sheets were smooth and tight. Looked brand new. Bed was very good, no sags or lumps, not hard or soft, the bed that Goldilocks would have choose. The bathroom, fresh and clean. No signs of mold, stained floor or water damage. Everything in working order. Furniture and decor looked like it was all high end, real hand carved wood! Window glass clean and clear. Room HVAC worked flawlessly. Each time we went past the front desk, we were greeted with eye to eye contact. The morning breakfast we were also impressed. The breakfast was better the any Embassy Suites or Hilton we've stayed at. The food presentation was thought out very well. Excellent traffic flow from station to station. Awesome quality coffee! Clean spot free dishes and silverware. Clean everywhere. The staff were very attentive to your needs. What didn't impress me was the guests that DIDN'T clear their own mess, and left no tip for the staff to do it for them. Guests with no class! Upon check-out we had the honor to be served by Katie, the AGM (Assistant Guest Manager). She displayed a genuine, professional and warm welcoming attitude. A hotel of this caliber would have easily charged $300 a night, such as the The Worthington Renaissance Fort Worth Hotel, which we stay at. With all the value you'll receive here for the few dollars that it'll cost you, please remember to TIP your dining room server (if you don't clear your mess) AND room attendant! The rooms were beautiful. Absolutely lovely furnishings, everything was immaculately clean, comfy bed, and the yummiest-smelling bath products ever. Really, like chocolaty-orange. Ahhhhh... 2. Perfect location. Sort of smack-dab in the middle of Amish country. 3. The best hotel breakfast I've personally ever had. Not your usual cereal/stale pastries/a few sad pieces of fruit here. No sirree, Bob. Delicious homemade waffles, eggs/omelets made-to-order, home fries, bacon, sausage, homemade baked oatmeal, fresh fruit/melon, pastries (baked fresh locally!), juices, etc. Everything was so fresh and so good. And it's included in the price of your room, which is such a nice bonus. 4. The views from this hotel are amazing. It's located right on the same grounds as an actual, working farm, but far enough away to enjoy the spectacular views of the cornfields, horses, etc, without the um, aromas. :0) So beautiful, so relaxing. 5. They have a nice, big indoor pool and a jacuzzi. We totally took advantage of this both nights we stayed here. We had a room on the first floor with a giant poster bed and a beautiful working fire place with a giant jacuzzi. I almost fell asleep in the jacuzzi. It was the nicest jacuzzi I have ever been in! We had views of Amish farmland. The breakfast was very sizable. There is a restaurant there and though I don't remember specifically what I ate, I love Amish food and we don't have it in NYC so it is a nice little treat to go to Amish Country on occasion. The customer service was excellent. Friendly environment. Close to all of the shops and "attractions" in Amish Country. You get to see a piece of Americana that you can't get any where else. read more

Gorgeous hotel in the heart of Amish farm country. They offer a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere with beautifully decorated suites. The staff is extremely nice and they have a really homey atmosphere, think fresh baked cookies at the front desk and movie nights in the main parlor. They also include a HUGE buffet breakfast in your room price that even offers a make your own omelet and waffle station. Breakfast is served in front of the fireplace and overlooking a working Amish farm. It is a truly beautiful way to start the day and fills you up enough that you won't have to eat much at lunch. They have a small gym and an indoor pool for those who like to keep in shape and even offer board game rentals for free at the front desk. High style with down home atmosphere! read more

Spent 5 nights here as a family of 4 and agree with the other reviews. The customer service was great, the breakfast was wonderful every morning, and the pool was a plus for my daughter. Free Wi-Fi and the grounds were nice to stroll during breaks between daily activities. We bought two "Getaway Enhancements" which each contained 2 coupons for dinner at Millers Smorgasbord or Plain and Fancy Restaurant (we chose Plain and Fancy for the better reviews); a bottle of wine (since we purchased 2 they gave us 2 different kinds of wine: red and white); a travel mug for coffee; $3 off at the gift shop; a free DVD rental; and extra coupons for the Rockvale Outlet Mall (not a big deal for us). They were $34 each and we got our money's worth out of it. (I wouldn't agree, however, that they were a $79 value: maybe a $49 value is more realistic). May be the nicest hotel in the area (Rt. 30 is sooooo busy with traffic. DON'T stay there). Earns only 4 stars because we've been in nicer hotels, but I would recommend this to any of my friends visiting here. read more

I recently returned from Lancaster and this was my first overnight here. Since I was with my grown daughter we got the opportunity to stay in the "west wing" which is for people over 18. The room itself was incredibly large and included a 60 inch TV set along with a living area and a mini kitchenette located inside a cupboard. What blew me away was the bathroom. It consisted of a stand alone tub with a smaller TV so you could watch it while you soaked in it. The bathroom had a separate glass shower along with two sink basins and finally a second door within leading to the toilet. The view was indeed spectacular however; and I had asked this question to the staff, there is no outside walkway behind the building to actually savor it or take pictures. All pictures have to be taken through a window. The staff gave us prompt attention to our needs and gave us directions as to some places we wanted to go. Included in our registration packet were discount coupons to the Amish experience and Plain and Fancy Farm but time did not permit us to take advantage of those things. I did check out basement where they had a nice size pool and a hot tub along with a small fitness room. We had a whole breakfast which is unusual for places like these. Included in the hot foods were thick sausages, quiche, potatoes, and bacon to name a few. You could order made to order eggs, omelets or even Belgium waffles from the chef stand. The food was very good! My only disappointment was in the cereal section they gave oatmeal packets. For all the items they were giving us they could have had it all cooked up and in one of the hot items area. The place was very clean and in the entryway you can see a wallpaper of an Amish barn raising which i found interesting. My recommendation would be that if you are able to then try to stay in the new West wing as I have no idea what the other rooms are like. I would definitely stay here again. read more

So basically this hotel doesn't like being called out on cleanliness. So basically you have to pay to shower in filthy disgusting showers with prior customers hair. If you do complain they ban you from the hotel. As a great long time customer. The last three times staying there the bathroom was dirty. So we took pictures of it and showed them and they didn't like that so a certified letter was mailed to me saying I wasn't welcomed there anymore. Katie general manager tried saying they have pictures of the room being cleaned and there's nothing wrong with it prior of arrival. WRONG !!! I don't ever complain but leaving bathrooms dirty and hair on walls is dirty. Keep your filthy hotel I'll spend my money else where. Also the ceo your a chump have to defend your team the lady who answered the phone the night we said something should be fired for being nasty to a customer. The gm katie is a nasty person too. You're not the Wynn, Marriott or Hyatt so tone it down a notch. Hope people start realizing how horrible your customer service is. read more

The hotel looks/feels brand new. Comfortable and clean, with welcomed features like free wi-fi, breakfast buffet, decent indoor pool, free coffee, etc. While it is overpriced for the area, it still provides a good value. We would definitively stay there again. The problem was with the attached "Plain & Fancy Farm" restaurant which came highly recommended by the Inn's staff. It took well over an hour to get a table and the food was WAY inferior to similar places like Cracker Barrel (about 15 minutes away) for at least twice the price. The chicken pot pie had hardly any chicken and the ham steak was hard and tasteless. Don't ruin your experience at the Inn and skip the restaurant. read more
