Our family of 6 has been seen by Dr. Patel and his wonderful staff for almost 7 years. My children have never been afraid of going to see Dr. Patel and his staff because they were treated with kindness and respect from the moment they walked in the door. Dr. Patel is very professional, but personal at the same time. He takes time to talk to me every time I bring the kids in. He remembers details from previous conversations, and is genuinely interested in us. I feel he has gone the extra mile in time spent researching and networking with our orthodontists and oral surgeons to address some special needs that members of our family have had. The hygienists are the best I have ever encountered. What I like best about each one of them is that they educate me during the whole visit. They talk to me about what they are doing and why, and are never condescending or careless. Peggy and Lorraine at the front desk are friendly, helpful, and efficient. They always work with us if we have an emergency or need to reschedule. The business practices at West Cary Dental are top notch! The office itself is easy to get to, is clean, and very comfortable. Dr. Amit Patel is, hands down, the best dentist I have ever had. I moved to Cary in 2005, and my first dentist did a terrible job on a crown that I needed. Dr. Patel was actually filling in for that dentist on the day that I had a check up, and Dr. Patel was able to fix the tooth so that the crown no longer hurt me. From then on I have been a regular patient with Dr. Patel at West Cary Dental. Dr. Patel also helped me get a tooth implant because one of my molars was too far gone to get a crown. The entire process was very easy, and I suffered very minimal discomfort throughout the process. Dr. Patel even met me at his office on a Saturday AND a Sunday when the temporary crown was giving me discomfort. All I had to do was call his cell phone and leave a message! My wife is actually going to start going to Dr. Patel as well. The gentleman/lady who wrote the very nasty review must not have had insurance, was bitter about something else, etc. because I have never heard anyone else say anything negative about West Cary dental. Dr. Patel, the receptionists and the hygienists are a wonderful team which make going to the dentist a positive experience. They make every effort to make you comfortable and relaxed. Dr. Patel is an outstanding dentist who has my full confidence. One example is how he contoured a mouthguard to make it more comfortable in my mouth. I have never been able to use a mouthguard because it was too thick. Dr. Patel customized the fit. In addition, he carefully watches the wear on my crowns and does not take action until he believes it is time. When he does take action it is with precision. I have never had any problems with his work, and he always explains what he is doing. His chair side manner is excellent and very calming to the patient. When he refers me to a specialist, he chooses the very best. His office staff is most welcoming and the hygienist are positive and extremely competent. The whole experience at West Cary Dental is the best. I recommend West Cary Dental with no reservations. It is the best I have experienced in my 77 years. read more

My husband began seeing Dr. Patel about 3 years ago. He kept telling me how happy he was with the care he received. I then started seeing him about two years ago. Dr. Patel has been one of the best dentists I have ever been to. Nobody likes going to the dentist, but Dr. Patel is caring and does outstanding work. He makes sure the work is done correctly the first time and never makes you feel rushed or feel like he needs to hurry up and see the next patient. We are also very impressed with Dr. Patel's staff. Everyone is friendly and does a great job and are very accommodating. I cannot tell you how many times they have squeezed us in on short notice. Dr. Patel's office, West Cary Dental is more than I can ask for any dental practice with their patient staff and compassionate and kind doctor. The hygientist, Amanda, walked me through every step of the cleaning and even was kind enough to ask me if I wanted a topical numbing gel to ease any discomfort. I did not need it, but I was happy that she cared enough to ask. Dr. Patel was both compassionate and kind, and I felt like he let me ask questions, and he was not in a rush to get me out the door. Dr. Patel and his entire staff are amazing. Dr. Patel is gentile and caring, and he is so good at explaining exactly what's going on with your teeth. I've had multiple cavities filled and crowns done by him and I'm always amazed at how smoothly it goes. I never felt any pain through any of these procedures.
