She used a very high quality henna with a beautiful deep pigment that dried very quickly so we were able to use our hands without smudging it. 2002 thin eyebrows was not the look I was going for. I like to keep my brows thick and wanted them cleaned up. I told her before we started to just take a little off. Smita went too thin. She seemed to be in a bad mood and would sigh in annoyance if I didn't hold my eyelid the way she wanted. One is thinner than the other (so 2002 and the other is 2006 idk.) She also tried to upsell me for a facial by telling me "your pores are huge." Wow what a compliment lol. I didn't feel welcomed or listened to and trying to get me to buy more services by insulting me wasn't the way to go. Wouldn't recommend. I guess it depends who is doing the threading. read more

I have been getting my eyebrows threaded at the Brighton location for several years by the same technician. She always remembers my name and greets me with a smile. The facility is immaculate, warm and inviting, and the customer service is excellent. This is the only place in Rochester that I will go to get my brows threaded. I requested eyebrow tinting, quality was ok while I'm there because after she wipes the ink off it looks great but after a few hours it starts fading. I returned the day after the first visit due to fading she was nice enough to redo but the same thing happened a few hours later it faded . Shes a very sweet lady and the place is beautiful and the vibe is very calming, and they did look nice but doesn't last. If I go back maybe I will try the $45 one thats suppose to last longer. read more

I had my eyebrows waxed since a teenager, but tried this threading method as soon as it came out a few years ago. This place has been my go to ever since. They always have quick service while still doing a decent job. Sometimes, they don't do a thorough job, but usually they do. I've never left upset! Never going to ANY Amita spa ever again. This location is the second one of them to screw up! The one in Marketplace mall f'd up my brow by taking off a big chunk and then the one in Eastview was so rough on my lip that i have a blood dot/scab in a pore above my lip meaning she ripped off a piece of my skin from threading so rough! I've gotten my eyebrows threaded for at least a decade now and this is the first time I've ever had a blood mark and this many issues with one brand. It's obvious their staff are inexperienced and I'll be Staying away for good! I'd also like to add their services are more expensive than many other places around as well so that's the icing on the cake. read more

It is a little bit pricier than other places in Upstate New York ($12 vs. $10), but if's Eastview Mall - what do you expect? My brows were done quickly and without issue. I was in town for a wedding, picking up some things from the mall and desperately needed a threading as well. So Amita's was convenient. Nita helped me immediately upon walking in. I got my eyebrows, chip and upper lip threaded. Another customer walked in during my session, and I noticed she started to rush and finished up shortly after. Once I got in the car, I noticed spots that she had missed. I ended up having to spend time plucking areas, so really she did a half ass job. I should have checked before leaving, but I felt super rushed. During the session, she asked me several questions... about where I was from. What language I spoke. What my connection to my friend that I came in with was. When I went to ask her questions, she refuse to answer any of my questions. Ok weird? Prices are a little higher than what I am used to. I usually pay around $24, with Nita I was charged $30. I wouldn't come back. Nita is rude and does a half ass job. read more

She ruined my eyebrows and they are completely uneven. She didn't listen to what I said at all and it was a VERY painful threading. I will be sticking to Patti at the Marketplace location. After trying out dozens of brow places, I've settled on Amita's. I always get quick service that I'm happy with. I'm very picky about my brows but the girls here do a great job giving them shape and cleaning them up every 3 weeks. I do agree with a previous reviewer that they can sometimes be rushed when additional customers come in but I've never been nervous to ask them to touch up on a spot before. read more

This is definitely the best place I have been to yet for getting my eyebrows done. They are amazing at what they do, super efficient, and priced very well. Just $12 for eyebrows and you are in and out within 5 minutes. The people who work there are also very friendly and deserve praise for what they do. Ive been getting my eyebrows done here forever, and they have always done a wonderful job! I find eyebrow threading to be way less painful than waxing, and makes your eyebrows less red and swollen. The staff here is wonderful and very friendly! After going here my eyebrows always look very fresh, although sometimes they can be left a little uneven. read more

Skin seems to be permanently darkened only in the places that were treated by this spa. In some places, there is a sharp drop in color (from dark olive to light olive color). I haven't stepped out of the house without needing corrective make-up since coming here. read more
