AMLI West Plano is no different from any other apartment complex. Do not be fooled. When I moved out of my apartment, AMLI hit me for damage to a stovetop which existed when I moved into the apartment. I have loved almost everything about this apartment for the majority of my lease. I got a new job next to Legacy West, so I had proximity to work, the floor plans were nice and spacious for the price, and besides the sound of my upstairs neighbor stomping around no complaints. My leasing agent Jamie was super helpful and seasoned, but management shifted, and I didn't experience any issues then. It was not until I decided to not renew my lease, as I was missing my friends in Dallas. So I sent my 60+ days notice, and they conduct a preliminary walk through, which I thought was kind of odd as my previous building did not require such an early walkthrough. Not only did they not show up on the day they told me, they moved all my framed art work. My diplomas frame was ON THE FLOOR, while everything else was at a slight angle. I filed a complaint with the front desk, and they notified me that their staff was not supposed to do that (touch your belongings), and they should have arrived at the schedule time. However I have the slip saying when they actually conducted the walk through and the email confirming the scheduled time. Irresponsible and unaccountable. But this brings me to my next encounter. We had scheduled fire inspections, and on one of those days I left my AirPods charging on my nightstand. I come home to find that they are missing and no where in my apartment. I even try to track them on Find My iPhone, but they came up as offline. I sent an email to the leasing office, only to not get a response. So after work, one day later, I went in to the office to ask if anyone has seen my email. They have and suggested I show up the after during lunch to meet with the onsite manager, Stacy. Naturally, I show up and talk with her. She double checks my find my iPhone app, like I don't know how to use technology, and then tells me what happened on that day. She claims that she and the maintenance staff did the room checks together, but she never actually entered the room. Then, she says that my room was the messy room. I pressed her about that because that is just rude. She clarifies that there were boxes every where, because I was moving. However, I haven't started the moving process yet, so not only did she not do her research on who she was talking to, she has the audacity to tell me her staff didn't steal anything, as she can attest by standing outside the apartment. All in all, she suggest that no one could steal AirPods in the 2 min it takes to conduct the fire inspection, BS, and that I should file a police report. The main lesson here is that this building is fine if you can deal with extra noise, but never let these staffers into your room unattended. In fact, I would suggest getting a lockbox and an interior camera. However, for the $1,500 a month I pay in rent, security should honestly be included. Hence, my one star review. Live at Legacy/Metro West if you want a new building with walkability. read more

I love AMLI West Plano! The front office staff is so friendly and thoughtful. They even gave me a gift for Nurses week. I felt so appreciated! They are also prompt with requests. We have this amazing mailroom to pick up packages. And I love that it's in a mini shopping center so I can grab a quick bite to eat at my leisure. It's also central to grocery stores, shopping, the highway, etc! I've been here for 2 years and I couldn't have made a better choice! read more

Where to begin as to how this was the worst place I have ever lived in my entire life!? Please understand, I NEVER write reviews but I felt I would be doing my fellow man a disservice by not doing so! My husband and I moved in the AWPA after selling our home of 12 years as a "break" from home ownership life. What a complete and utter joke! We moved in upon the community's grand opening. The "ramp up" staff was great but it quickly went down hill from there with 6 to 7 COMPLETE management, staff and maintenance changes in 3 years! I honestly lost count. At one point the entire maintenance staff left ALL AT ONCE! None of them were shy in sharing their plan to do so stating how horrible the company was and how we as residents should be "weary" living there. STAFF It must be a requirement of employment to be totally unprofessional, a skilled liar and methodical pacifist to work for AWPA. Specifically regarding the current manager, Staci and staff member Danielle. It blows my mind that either one of these ladies actually have jobs. I am not speaking just on my own experience but having made friends in the community, their same experiences as well. On several accounts I was told one thing only to find out it was in fact something else entirely. Too many times to bother mentioning. It's exhausting. I have walked into the office on several accounts to find noone present with applications, bank account information, photo id's, etc.. laying openly on desks. I made mention to the manager about it only to walk in weeks later to find the same scenario. I personally had a member of the staff tell me once how much another resident made annually for no particular reason. Emails and calls take 2-3 days to return IF they do respond at all. The community hosts monthly (sometimes) happy hours where again I have personally watched the manager and staff order to go food for their own families in bags full enough to feed a small village because attendance by the community was low and I assume there was money to spend! They then called a resident who is a friend of theirs and asked him to bring the food out to their cars as to not "look bad." Not sure Amli Corporate intended for funds to be disbursed this way. APARTMENTS Poorly constructed. My neighbor below me complained about hearing my dog barking all hours of the night. We don't have a dog! They were hearing the neighbors dog above US barking! Does that tell you how thin the walls and floors are? You can hear people taking showers, peeing, snoring, walking, talking, or smell marijuana coming through the vents, you name it. Dont bother complaining about noise. The staff will allllllmost act like they care you are miserable until you complain a second or third time. Then somehow it becomes YOUR fault for being too picky or are made to feel like a pain in the ass. My husband and I are extremely laid back and easy going but the noise was intolerable. We got to the point we were flat our embarrassed to have people over because of it. It is THAT bad. COMPLEX GROUNDS If the halls and stairwells don't smell like Marijuana they smell like dog poop/pee. Same goes for sitting on your balconies or at the pool. I have seen dog poop or trash on the stairs or in the halls in the same place for WEEKS at a time. I had to call once to have it cleaned up in front of my personal door. It took 3 days. There is never any propane in the BBQ grill tanks. Just sloppy management. Thought I would throw that one if for good measure. Police come almost every day to Amli, every single day! I personally called the police (along with 2-4 other neighbors) on people fighting in the parking lot at 3am. When I emailed the office about the occurence (with pictures of the incident and police presence) I received no response. Cars and apartments get broken into CONSTANTLY. At least once a month a resident email goes out "warning us" to protect ourselves, vehicles and belongings. Protect ourselves in our own parking garage and apartments? Wow! For $2,000 - $3,000 a month apartments? Oh and don't let them advise you there is a Plano Police Office living on the property for your protection. I met two of them. They work nights and sleep all day. Also the gentlemen who rides around the complex and the other commercial grounds in the golf cart works for the commerical property, not Amli. He is not security. They will also tell you that he is. A neighbor of mine had her storage burglarized twice with no forced entry. How is that possible you ask? Someone else had access to her other key. Staff or maintenancem Please know, total lack of concern was given to her. She ended up placing a camera in the storage. She told the leasing office she was doing so and guess what, it never happened again. Lastly, on our final account statement it said we left the complex for "job relocation". Not the truth, but lies is what they do and how they make themselves look solvent. read more

I have lived here almost a year and I resigned my lease, so I feel sincere and honest about writing this Yelp review. Location: Amli west plano is the first apartment I have lived on my own since college. I couldn't recommend this apartment enough. I moved in during the heat of the pandemic (most things were closed) and was able to do a self guided tour. I talked a bit with the wonderful property manager, but the apartment basically sold itself. You are in walking distance to kona, mi dia, Princi italia, eatzi, AT&T. It's very easy to commute to places because you are right off the tollway. You have Kroger and Tom Thumb in your back yard. Anyway, the location is just so prime if this is the style of living you choose. Staff: they are wonderful. Always so friendly and perky and say hi in the halls. They pretty much cater to your ever need. They complete work orders within 24 hours of submitting them. They answer all your questions. They host amazing happy hours and try to connect other residents. This last happy hour was a hit! Apartment: it's very clean, all updated appliances, wood floors (not real) but they're dark and look real. They are easy to clean! Beautiful balconies, and over all just really good apartments that I think you would like! The amenities are awesome! The pool is gorgeous. I wish the gym was A LITTLE bigger, but it has basically everything you need. The package room is clean. They have a laundry room if you wish not to have one in your apartment. They have a dog washing area which is super cute. It's VERY safe in my opinion. I'm a single girl and feel safe every night. Gates are locked, parking garage is locked, you need a fob to get into every part of the building, and every door has a dead bolt. You should live here! read more

Mikey is the winning ticket to AMLI W Plano. As soon as I met him on a brief visit to Dallas, I felt that AMLI W Plano is the best option for me to land... Mikey really listens - he is attentive and is interested in hearing what I was looking for in a residence. He is very congenial, resourceful and keeps his word. Moving from out of state is very stressful - Mikey worked things out for my ideal move-in date, clean apt, new carpets. The three neighbors I met rave about Mikey - he goes out of his ways for residents, as if we are his family. AMLI West Plano is one of the best places I have ever lived in. The staff are friendly and helpful. Maintenance requests are amazingly quick and done with professionalism. The pool is 3 to 4 feet, but it's nice to swim a couple of laps in. We have monthly events for the community. Love this place! My husband and I moved in at the beginning of Phase Two when they were still building this place last May, and we have loved it ever since. We renewed our lease for another year. The office staff are friendly and helpful - no, they can't fix everything, they are human, but they work really hard to make sure they can make it a great place to live. If you have a comment, concern, or suggestion, it's taken seriously and addressed to the best of their abilities. The facilities are beautiful. Just come take a tour and see for yourself. The building is LEED certified which means your electricity bills are going to be almost non-existent and noise insulation is fabulous. I hardly ever hear a neighbor or road noise. Yes, rent is a little pricey, but look at what you are getting for your money: A practically brand new, LEED building, with fabulous amenities, in a great location. It can't be beat! I lived at Amli West Plano for 2 years. I can honestly say that it was a wonderful place to live, ever since Staci became the manager. She is the ideal manager, who is personable, professional, willing to help however she can and manages the property the way it should be managed. The whole office staff, who is cuttently there is the best. They go out of their way to help when asked, are professional and kind. I would recommend Amli West Plano to anyone. The location is great, there are places to eat within 50 steps of where you live, close to the Toll and pretty much has everything you want within a few minutes, if not closer. read more

If you move to AMLI West Plano with the expectation of polite and wiliness to help management team, you've moved to the wrong place. What you will get is unprofessional and rude. I recently went to the office with a minor complaint. The property assistant manager was of no assistance and stated that she would put a copy of my complaint in my resident file. My file? Yes. We keep a copy of all resident complaints in their lease files. Okay. Stacie and this other manager, sorry, I have no idea who she is or what her name is. They operate this place with their mean girl mentality like we're in high school. Get over yourselves girls. The only reason I can think why you would file a complaints in my resident file is if you are planning a future retaliation. Which given what I have witnessed and heard, 2 months, since I moved to AMLI West Plano wouldn't surprise me. In closing, the maintenance staff or lack thereof is another good reason not to live here. read more

I love my apartment home. I have lived here since August 2015 and I am the first person to live in my brand new unit. The property has a huge Vegas style pool, bar, cabanas, fireplace, etc. The work out room and business center is brand new. The property is located across from Eatzi's and Kona Grill and new restaurants are being added. Cinemark is across the parking lot and Willow Bend mall is just down the street. It is also 10 minutes from the Shops of Legacy without all the parking issues of living in the Shops. I dig my side by side stainless GE refrigerator with filtered water and crushed ice in the door and the landscaped courtyard below my large balcony. Yep, I'm a happy camper. The property is full now, but I would watch for openings. I would highly recommend it. read more

My husband and I have lived at AMLI West Plano for about 8 months now and we absolutely love it. The apartments themselves are basically brand new with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and wood vinyl floors. I love the layouts of the apartments and the natural light there is from all the windows. Ever since Staci, the new community manager, has been at West Plano things have only gotten better. I have been living here for about 5 months now and I really love this place. Management really cares about the community and the people that live here. Also they do a great job of keeping us informed of community happenings such as crime alerts and maintenance appointments. The mx team is great!! Yesterday I put in a request for my freezer and it was done within hours. Enrique was very polite and professional. He let me know when the request was completed and possible reasons why I had the problem. He left a message on my phone and a note on the counter. He went above and beyond. Management really tries to keep the property clean and looking nice, but I don't think it should fall all on them and the housekeeping department. I think the people that live here could do a much better job of picking up after themselves and be more respectful of others. After all we are adults here. read more

Let me start out with the pros: The actual apartments are pretty nice! Great layouts, good appliances, good design, etc., and the amenities are ok! When we first moved in we were excited because we were around so much stuff, movies, restaurants, shopping, etc., however--and here come the cons-- (along with some majorly thin walls and general apartment noise) there's a security issue---and not just a minor issue. Cars getting completely stolen, wheels being taken off right from the garage and left on cinder blocks, cars being broken into on a regular basis. Let alone actual apartments being broken into in broad daylight! We also ran into a few domestic fights that I had to address to the office, one where there was screaming at 4:30am in the hall, clothing and personal items being tossed out in the hallway with her. There is leaky garbage out in the hallways and stairwells constantly. In fact, I witnessed someone lay their trash in the hall and when I asked if they were going to take care of it, they responded with, "I don't care." Dog poop and pee in the halls and stairs and I step in poop in a regular basis in the dog areas. I understand that the management rotates very frequently and that's an issue with Amin as a company in general. We've had some good management and some bad management but the lack of attention from corporate is uncalled for. This place is one of the most expensive apartment homes around and I'm ready to leave. Happy we purchased our home and are moving out in a few days. It pains me to leave these kind of reviews but I feel like honesty is the best policy. I need to reiterate that the current management is doing all they can to help but it's corporate management who just doesn't seem to care. read more

A few concerns I have thus far regarding this property: The parking garage is definitely a little frustrating. Upon entering, you can't see oncoming vehicles which makes the first turn a nailbiter. Secondly, the space for 2 cars to comfortably fit side by side without hitting each other while driving through the garage doesn't seem possible when it reaches full capacity. For now, it is mildly tolerable for the simple fact that there are not a lot of other vehicles parked because you will be required to veer your car into some of the empty parking spaces if another car is coming the other direction. It definitely needed to be built wider. Having been in many parking garages, I have seen 2 vehicles fit comfortably side by side. There are mirrors in place to help prepare for oncoming vehicles, however it is so small that it makes it difficult to see anything clearly. My other concern is the size of the gym. I was expecting a large gym for the amount of money this property asks its residents to pay. There is a very nice media area that holds state of the art large Macs with a spacious conference style room right next to the gym. These are fabulous amenities but I would have rather seen that money invested into a better work out facility. Once 3 or 4 people are in the gym, it becomes awkward. The equipment is new but nearly every machine that has a cable/pulley mechanism needs to seriously be re-greased, or re-calibrated or something. I am not sure if this is because they are brand new but some of the equipment has flaws already and needs maintenance. It also constantly feels like it is 80+ degrees in there. The ceiling fans just blow hot air around. I never feel any type of AC come on when I'm in there. This was a huge turn off at my last complex and is essentially a deal breaker for whether I move into a complex or not. This is West Plano, we're all marathon runners and all probably a little snobby and superficial about how we look so my expectation was a little higher. and yes I'm aware of how snobby that sounds. Late at night, I am constantly having to deal with the eatZis employees who get off work between 10pm-11pm and are very loud while getting in their vehicles. Occasionally loud music is played, cars are revved up, and extremely loud talking and yelling can be heard which has woken me up more than a dozen times. They all park right downstairs near the parking garage and near what I am assuming is everyones bedroom windows. There is ample parking in the eatZis parking lot for these employees to park yet somehow they park in what I'm going to assume is Amli's parking lot. Lastly, the construction....yes it has been a headache...days off are usually pretty miserable with saws, banging, loud trucks that literally beep like they are backing up all day long so there hasn't been much peace and quiet whatsoever. It becomes frustrating having to maneuver around them from time to time. With all of that said....this was a choice I made. No one forced me to sign a lease to a brand new property, I did it on my own but I didn't think about exactly how much construction there really is going on and how annoying it was going to be. However, I have a few suggestions for future newly built complexes... do not allow residents to move in until at least 90% of the construction is done, OR offer a lower amount of rent for those who will be suffering through the construction process. Requiring your residents to pay full months rent while you can not use some of the amenities is just bad service and a morale killer. Communicate more with your residents. I am personally speaking for myself but I care more about when the property plans to have certain things finished first or updates on what is going on and a timeframe than receiving emails about ways to decorate an apartment. Let us know when the pool will be complete, elevators, trash disposal, etc. I do feel like the construction and urgency to have people move in was a little premature and the focus on quality has been lost along the way. No one is perfect but I hope the input and ramblings help in someway. For anyone who cared enough to read this entire thing, I appreciate it. read more
