I went to look ella up to share with someone and was genuinely shocked to see that she isn't a 5-star business already. I worked with Ella extensively for my wedding last year, and several friends have used her since & every single one of us loves her and thinks she does incredible work. Ella handled my wedding dress, including a very last-minute let-out on a tight dress (which was beyond stressful). She made it happen seamlessly! you truly could not tell it had been altered. She went well above and beyond what she initially told us was possible. She adjusted shoulder lengths and necklines on a heavily beaded, sequin, lace appliqué and chiffon bridal gown, and also perfectly shaped a detachable overskirt with a long train. The fit and finish were absolutely flawless. She also tailored my husband's tux, which required full adjustments to the pants, jacket, and vest -- and even tailored the shirt underneath due to some very last-minute weight loss (must be nice, right? ). Everything fit him perfectly. On top of that, Ella saved the day by doing a quick turnaround on my dad's suit after his original tailor canceled on him. Beyond my own wedding, Ella also altered multiple dresses for my friend Shelby's wedding -- including Shelby's dresses, her mom's, and other family members -- and they all turned out amazing. Ella is talented, calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and incredibly reliable. I cannot recommend her highly enough for bridal, formalwear, or any tailoring needs. BEWARE--non-standard, irreversible alteration without warning A Nordstrom tailor reviewed two blazers I had altered here and said the waist suppression was done in a non-standard, irreversible way, with seam allowance cut away and visible puckering. I was not informed that the work would be irreversible, even though standard waist suppression is typically reversible. When I raised these workmanship concerns, they were not addressed, and the response relied only on non-refund policy language. To clarify, my concern was not about refund policy or fit approval, but about alteration method. The waist suppression was done in a non-standard, irreversible way. My wife got her alterations done through this company and they completely removed the button fastens on the back which messed up the symmetry which we noticed after the wedding. Upon contacting her she claimed all she could do was fix it after the fact and offered no reimbursement for a very expensive service. Nothing worse than paying a lot of money for something done incorrectly. I would not recommend. Response to owner: One appointment my wife was late to due to our 3 month old. She forgot her dress and had to reschedule. If your policy is to charge you should have followed your own policy. However, there would be no issue if you did your job correctly. Owner also knew that my wife just had a baby and took on the job knowing that it was likely there would be a few adjustments. Also, not that it matters but owner lied about "threatening" her for poor reviews. You were getting a poor review anyways for a poor job done. This just made it look worse on you. read more

Everything was going smoothly with this company until it wasn't anymore. I had my dress altered multiple times and by the time I took it home I didn't realize that an entire very important part of my dress was missing until the very moment I put it on for my WEDDING DAY when it was too late. I had buttons going from my spine to the end of my dress and the loops to fasten the buttons that were there when I bought the dress were no longer there after alterations. When you are trying on dress for alterations you aren't sitting there putting all your buttons through the loops. You're just making sure that everything fits you; the length, waist, hips, and bust. My bad that I expected the back detail of my dress to still be there, I didn't think I'd have to check that but the owner made me feel as though this was my fault. Since I had noticed it after the wedding day I reached out to let her know how upsetting it was to me that now the buttons were no longer on the center of my back but to the complete left side of the zipper in all of my wedding photos (pictures attached) resulting in my perfect dress feeling incomplete which is really upsetting for a bride on her most exciting day. I'd recommend going elsewhere to a professional who cares about their output rather than the money. read more

Very hard to rate because when I asked for an estimate to replace a zipper in a jumpsuit & alterations on 2 dresses and 4 pants, I was very tactfully turned down & told that this time of year they only do weddings. I needed a seamstress for so long to do those hems one needs so often. I chose Ella and in the beginning my husband would run over half a dozen dresses and ask her to hem them. of course we always gave her a marker on the garment to show how much of a hem to sew. kkShe is not quick - but I never need anything quickly. This past week I sent my husband over with two simple summer tops that needed the hems fixed. There were sections where the hem had come out. Fine. My husband picked them up, brought them home about two weeks later when I discovered that there was a one inch or so frayed section on one top that looked like the needle on the machine had simply missed,. I wrote to her, sent a couple of pictures. and asked if I could bring it back to have that section fixed. Was I ever shocked when I got a letter back from her telling us to find ourselves another seamstress. She went on about how my husband's instructions seem to differ from what I was now saying I wanted. (what???). She also went on about how the price would have been different had she sewn up a ONE INCH SECTION more of the hem. She never gave me any kind of offer - or new price - to let me say 'yes' or 'no' To. I wasn't asking her to do it for free. I would have gladly paid her if she wanted more money for a one inch section of hem. She never gave me any kind of offer - - just kicked us to the curb And told us to go elsewhere! I guess she has so much business that she can afford to just kick people to the curb if they have any sort of problem whatsoever. Folks, we are talking about a one inch section of hem that she was willing to kick us out as customers over. Honestly, I can't recommend this woman. read more
