I dropped my dog off for grooming, and after more than 8 hours, the grooming was never even completed. Instead of apologizing or taking responsibility for wasting an entire day, they still charged me $48 for a bath. There was little communication throughout the day except for saying he would be done roughly at 3pm or 4pm. At 4:30 I called myself to learn that he hadn't even been started on but mentioned that he was the last dog in so he was still "in line for grooming service." I'm not sure what takes 8+ hours for a bath and a grooming but clearly they don't hold the business acumen to account for the number of dogs and the staff to facilitate the demand. To make matters worse, they don't send appointment reminders or provide clear instructions about their services or expectations beforehand, which makes the entire process even more frustrating. The lack of professionalism was obvious from start to finish. Mistakes can happen, but how a business responds is what matters. Instead of offering a sincere apology or trying to make the situation right, I was met with poor customer service and still expected to pay for an incomplete service. I won't be returning, and I certainly can't recommend trusting them with your pet if you value your time, clear communication, or basic customer service.

We absolutely LOVE this place. We have two dogs (puppies) with completely different personalities. One came in very scared, nervous, and afraid of almost everything. Since going here, we have watched him slowly come out of his shell, become more confident, socialize with other dogs, and actually have FUN. Seeing that change in him has meant so much to us. Our other dog is the complete opposite--he is Mr. Social! The minute he realizes he's going to daycare, he runs to the door and can hardly contain himself. He absolutely loves being there. What I appreciate most is how attentive the staff is to each individual dog's personality. They don't just throw all the dogs together--they really seem to understand them, match them with dogs they'll do well with, and make sure they feel comfortable and happy. The people there are also incredibly kind, caring, and as flexible as they can possibly be, especially considering how popular and busy they are. And honestly, I completely understand why they're so popular--they're that good! I also LOVE that they offer extra enrichment activities to keep the dogs entertained, engaged, and stimulated instead of just having them run around all day. We plan to use them for over night so we wanted them in daycare to get use to the place ..we travel for work a lot and need overnight stays , and I feel so much better knowing my dogs are with people who genuinely care about them. No one was at the desk and I stood for 15 minutes looking around. The son couldn't be bothered to pause scrolling on his phone and a lady was on the phone in a different office. When he finally brought our dog to us my 3 and 7 yr old kids had to point out that she had deep wounds on the top of her head. They let us walk out the door without saying anything at all. I brought our dog back in and they acknowledged saying they knew about it and that she wanted to play with a dog in the next run and was rubbing her head on the shared fence. It was known for a couple of days but I never received so much as a phone call nor did they relocate either dog, if that's even what actually happened. The placement of the wounds does not match up with what they claim. I took our dog to the vet and they agreed the wounds do not make sense with what they claimed. They had to shave the top of her head to prevent infection and the wounds are significant. Please do not trust your animals with this company. We are now out an extra $100+ for the vet and have had to cancel additional plans while she heals at home.

Other places, don't have the attention, facilities, and in many ways, personalized attention we receive at the Rover Resort. We leave them with the peace of mind that they will be treated as guests at the resort and not just as another boarding place. The staff is amazing, they are customer oriented, respectful with their guests and owners and overall, you can see and feel their goodwill and commitment to ensure our pets have the best experience. Our puppies are now much older, and they are treated with love and care. As long as we are allowed to enjoy our puppies, we will have them stay at Rover Resort. This way, we can enjoy our vacation with peace of mind. They really are the best of the best.

We have a 13 lb Silky Wirehaired dachshund, and I had what I thought was a great groomer in California. Well. I found out today that Gladis & Luis are even better!! The haircut was exactly what I wanted, and her face, ears & eyebrows were trimmed the straightest I've EVER seen. The icing on the cake (or doggie) was that she smelled SOOOOOO good! They work in their clean, cool garage turned grooming salon, which is very clever. Now I don't have to worry about finding groomers who are at least as good as our previous ones. It's also a great opportunity to check out the facility. I had talked to Travis on the phone and met him when we came for our evaluation interview. Travis is a true dog whisperer! You can see that he truly loves dogs and knows how to handle them. Our rescue dog, Ollie is a border collie and loves to run. He's also an escape artist and after seeing the secure fencing felt that he would be totally safe at LSDR. At home Ollie wears the Whistle device on his collar. It tracks his location and activity distance. I asked if he could wear it during his stay there and they were so accommodating! They even charged up the device for us! We saw a couple of photos they posted of Ollie on Facebook. I could totally relax while we were out of town because I knew Ollie was having so much fun. Our Whistle App showed that he ran 4 miles his first day! I highly recommend Lone Star Dog Ranch!!

The easiest way to make an appointment is by text, and they do curbside drop off and pick up. The actual facility is a shabby older house in an unpaved gravel parking lot, but they always do a great job and my dog seems to enjoy the experience.
