There is a single person at the gelato counter but she made me feel like she had all day to help me. Friendly, patient, and did a great job explaining my options. I tried the Tiramisu, Chocolate Hazelnut, and Pistachio flavored in a large bowl. Each tasted amazing but the chocolate was my favorite. Smooth texture with add ins for crunch. They also have $2.50 mini macrons with gelato inside .. such a great 2-bite treat (it was gone before I got my camera out). Stop by and treat yourself! read more

Checked out Amorino this past weekend, and the gelato is delicious! They seem to still be in the process of training staff, so the flowers don't look quite like the pictures in the advertisements, but hey, it's still gelato. The process is a little strange. You place your order at the register, they give you a little slip of paper, you hand the slip of paper to the person scooping the gelato (literally a foot away from the register), you tell them what flavors you want, and they put the gelato together for you. And because the petals are attached to the outside of the cone, it can be very, very messy. The prices are on the high side, but it's right in Sawall's, so that's not a surprise. We will definitely be back. read more

It was epic! I am a huge fan of gelato and I have tried this place in Paris, the experience in kzoo was similar. It is located under cafe 36, offers gelato and maccaron. I just want to clarify that the pictures(waffles and crepes) are not offered in thjs place. For all gelato lovers recommended :) p.s. nutella with almonds is a must! read more

(note: This is a counter inside Sawall's Health Food) High quality, delicious gelato. A bit expensive (About $14 for a large cup and a small cone). I recommend getting a cup because the cones are very messy due to the unique way they layer ice cream on top. A cup also comes with a miniature cone on the side. One suggestion to the place would be to clarify the labeling of the gelato. For example the chocolate hazelnut is called "L'Inimitabile". So you're going to have to ask what almost any flavor you're interested in unless you can read Italian. I feel stupid asking after the first two or three flavors so just order something from the obvious options. I'd really like to be able to know at a glance what everything is. read more

Absolutely delicious gelato in a plethora of different flavors which you can mix and match all you want as long as you can fit it into your cup! I chose the chocolate hazelnut and the vanilla with chocolate shavings (they listed the Italian names, but this is gelato, not a steak, and so I don't want to be a butcher!). My husband ordered the berry cheesecake and vanilla. I had some other samples of pistachio and hazelnut, but the two I chose definitely stood out as did my husband's. It is a little pricey, so share, and consider investing in the third size up as the second was a bit small sharing with my tiny son with a gargantuan sweet tooth! read more

Stopped in for an affogato because my friend is always raving about them and I needed to try one. If you aren't familiar with the term, an affogato is like a little espresso gelato float. I asked what flavor of gelato is popular to go with and the employee pointed out a few, which was very helpful. I was torn between salted caramel and chocolate hazelnut but ultimately chose the chocolate hazelnut. It was exquisite. The combination of espresso and gelato was so rich and flavorful; I was in heaven. Yes, it is a little expensive, but in my opinion it is worth it because they use high quality espresso and gelato. Also, they offer this in two sizes, I got the smaller size with two shots of espresso (which is NOT an up charge, you have the option of one or two) and it was plenty. Seriously, if you like espresso, and you like gelato, I recommend trying one, I'm confident you will enjoy it. read more

Delicious!!! The staff is super friendly and when I was saying I wanted to take a picture of the ice cream they made sure it was picture quality! This place is truly a hidden gem inside of Sawall Health Foods store, they even have a little seating area upstairs! read more

This place is fantastic. You can get as many flavors as you want in your cone or cup, so try them on and find a favorite. Mine happens to be the pistachio gelato, followed by tiramisu. The one downside is that the gelato melts very fast so you need to eat it quickly. That shouldn't be a problem if you're anything like me. It's a bit pricey, around $8 for a large cone or cup. It's so worth it for the quality of the product though. They also periodically have seasonal and new flavors. read more

I love gelato, ate it a lot in San Francisco I had two flavors pistachio and mango, mango was tastier had the cute gelato flower, took a picture, other then that it was too expensive for the taste and portion, 13$ for two people (medium size cone and cup, small portions) can get you more and better tasting Haugen daas mango sherbet. It's hard to find its in a grocery store no where to sit. Once in a lifetime gelato flower was cool but don't plan to go back. read more

We came here with high hopes, but were very disappointed. The taste of the gelato was just okay and it was extremely expensive for the amount given. About a month later we went to Italy and had gelato there and thought, ahhhh, now we know what a real gelato tastes like and it was amazing in Italy. Amorino's didn't taste anything like the gelato in Italy. Go to Cold Stone Creamery instead. read more
