To be completely honest, I wish more grocery stores were like Horrocks! This place was so awesome! I cannot believe this was my first time there. We spent at least a half hour in the front portion before even entering the actual store! Everything is so nice and I love how it's organized. It's also nice you're able to eat food there! I saw some with alcoholic beverages as well! Speaking of alcohol, my boyfriend loved that you could take a 6 pack of whatever variety beers he wanted! So that was a neat plus! They also have a decent sized NA section for those who aren't big drinkers but still want ~something~ :) I already cannot wait to go back here and shop around! Highly recommend

What an awesome spot, how have I never been here? I always heard people talk about this place but it's not super convenient to drive to from our house so I've just never checked it out. I'm glad I finally did! The food, gifts, bar, and so much more is going to make me keep visiting. I loved the salad bar paired with a freshly made sandwich and some soup. I can't wait to come back when the beer garden is open with live music this summer. The staff were all super friendly and helpful as well. I pictured a high end Whole Foods type place when people talked about it but it's nothing like that! This is a true local vibe gem and you need to check it out!

We love Horrocks in Kentwood. There is so much to see, do, taste, take in and enjoy! When we go, our first stop is always the tasting bar. They always have a wide selection of seasonal and rotating beers and wine to sample. We will buy a glass of our favorite and do our shopping! They also have a coffee bar during certain hours. The selection of produce is wonderful. It's the only place I can get bulk ginger and turmeric. Their meat counter is spectacular. We have spoken to the manager a couple of times and he's so helpful and nice. The brats are the best around! So many great flavors to choose from. You can find so many different types of fresh meat and frozen seafood. We also love the deli and cheeses (the only place we've have found Jamon Serrano). The soup selection is wonderful. The variety of houseplants and seasonal garden plants is amazing. It's also the only place we go now for our Christmas Tree! They have a wonderful selection of loose leaf teas, bulk candy and snacks and popcorn. The backyard garden is cozy and hosts food trucks and music throughout the season. We noticed that our produce bill decreased when we started shopping Horrocks vs Meijer and it's much better quality. Highly recommend!

My first visit here! I'm used to the Lansing location, so it took a bit to get my bearings. It's not as large as the Lansing one, but it's much closer and just as great friendly staff, excellent service, and quality products.

I absolutely love this place. It's like a beer garden, mixed with a greenhouse, mixed with a floral department, mixed with the grocery shop! You can actually get a beer or a glass of wine and go grocery shopping. All their food is fresher than fresh. They have a huge parking lot out front. It's very organized. Prices are great for the quality of food. Very well lit. I love the soup station. They're made daily and so far every one of them has been delicious. I have not found one I did not like. I actually get a bowl of soup, order a made to order sandwich from deli, take my glass of wine and go into the garden area and pull up a table to eat. It's amazing. In addition to fresh produce, a butcher shop and a giant wine/beer selection they have FREE yes FREE live music on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. A must go to stop in my book

Get your beer get your snacks and enjoy some music everything you need for an in-house date night

Horrocks is making great strides to be an all in one destination spot. They've always been a favorite of mine for their fresh meats, produce and greenhouse but once you add in the tavern and now the live music, they really do seem to have it all. If you are looking For a fun night out, Horrocks has live music every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights in their greenhouse, which is set up with tables and an elevated stage for the bands to perform. They have a rotating list of all different genres. Get there go to the tavern and get yourself a beer or wine and you can even add in whatever goodies you want to eat from their freshly made slices of pizza to everything you could want on a charcuterie board, it's all at your fingertips! simply brilliant Horrocks.

Allow me to regale you with a tale of misery that can only be rivaled by an enema of broken glass…read more On 1/3/21 my wife and I were notified by our builder that it was time to order our appliances as the specs were required to finish building our cabinets. On 1/4/21 I begrudgingly joined my wife on a daylong hunt for the perfect matte black stainless steel appliances, after shopping around for a few hours we landed on a full set of Cafe (Refrigerator, range, dishwasher) and a GE washer and dryer at this particular Home Depot. We worked with a very friendly salesman (MDG1YY5) and he proceeded to build our very specific order in the system, as it often goes the system went down several times so he kept redoing the order (hoses, power cords, custom brushed bronze pulls, and all), no big deal "stuff happens". Due to the manufacturing delay of appliances in the COVID-19 era we wanted to get these ordered for a future date to ensure they were ready by the time we moved in. We selected a future date of 3/10/21 as that paired up with our expected timeline to move in, I expressed the potential issue of the home not being ready and was assured the warehouse could hold the appliances for as long as needed if that were the case, great. We finalized the details and checked out about $10,000 lighter and went on with our lives. As 3/10 approached we found ourselves behind schedule due to weather and material shortages (This is where our experience with Home Depot morphs into a Quentin Tarentino film). I contacted their third party delivery service and notified them that the house was not ready and I will need to push our date back up to 60 days. It was at this time I was notified that they would not hold a product for more than 30 days. I worked with our builder and he gave me permission to unload them all bunched together in the living room as the floor had just been completed. Appliances arrive on 4/10 (30 days exactly), as the gentlemen bring in items I compare their product ID to what is on my paperwork to ensure every single item is accounted for and correct. An important note here is no appliance is listed as "White GE Washing Machine" instead it is something like SKU 1005-128-482 and Description GFD65ESPNSN. Everything checked out and there the appliances sat until our final inspection (Only the dishwasher may be installed prior to this point). On 5/8 we were granted occupancy of our new home and cleared to begin moving in. The very fist thing we wanted to do was open and install these appliances we had been enamored with for the last 4 months. If you've ever received appliances in this method you will know that they come in massive reinforced boxes secured with metal banding and several inches of foam to ensure safe transport. Our first box was the dryer... It was champagne colored, not white. Next was the washer, same issue. Kitchen appliances were all the appropriate color and model so no issues, yet. We immediately contact Home Depot to notify them of the mistake, they refuse to do anything stating we approved of the items when they were delivered and its been over 30 days why hadn't we raised concern to this point? The following day my wife goes to the store and exhibits the patience of a Tibetan Monk and after a few hours convinces them to let us trailer these back to the store and send us the correct items. New delivery is then scheduled for 6/11, crisis averted we can survive a month without a washing machine. When you order handles that are not stock with the appliance they come separately so you end up with both colors. We go through and swap all of them out but the ones on the stove don't fit quite right, the handles are fine but all of the knobs seems off. After a few days of tinkering with it I dig through the box to see if there are instructions for this seemingly mindless task that I don't understand. The kit is for a gas stove... they ordered the wrong parts. A few hours on the phone later they get the new pulls ordered for us (It's 6/29 as of writing this and we still do not have them). I wish this was the end.... 6/11 finally arrives and with it our new washer and dryer! We slide the dryer in place, get it hooked up and test it out, perfect. Slide the washing machine into place, there is no outlet... Call our electrician and he says he will be out on 6/23 with the rest of our lights, no worries on our end just 2 more weeks. He comes out on that day and runs a new outlet. We set the dryer up and it immediately pops the GFI. Check the manual with the electrician and confirm everything is correct, it is. Run an extension cord to other outlets through the house, same issue. Bad ground in the machine maybe? Anyway, Home Depot told us to pound sand because its been over 48 hours since receipt. So now begins the tedious journey of working with the manufacturer. Spend the extra money and deal with a mom and pop shop, someone that has a face, reputation, and a soul.

The aisles are wide, the booths are nicely appointed, and there is lots of great natural light from all the windows. I love that they are arranged by "streets" with numbers for each booth, making it easy to remember where you saw something. There are lots of fun things to check out - I love the reading room that also features art from local artists. They have the ability to rent a shelf vs. a whole booth, which I thought was really cool. Possibly the best part - the free popcorn! I also really like the fun decor like the board game wall. Parking is ample on the street in front or the free lot across the street. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Elevated.

The entrance was a little tricky to navigate. There was a colorful toy/deco arch far off to the left that we went to only to read a note that said Elevated entrance with and arrow pointing to the right. So we turned around and headed to what looked like an office building entrance but once we opened the door there was a black sign with a white E and an arrow to the right with a open door. At the entrance is an old school telephone booth, with either an elevator (ring the bell for service) or stairs. The stairs were super easy to navigate and we were at the top on no time. The minute we walked through the door there is this cool vibe that permeates throughout the establishment. The way the booths are spaced, decorated, and displayed was very unique giving me lots of space to move about and enjoy the thrift experience. I really enjoyed the use of game boards and how they decorated the walls. I plan on using that idea somewhere in my future. There were many items available from jewelry, dishes, clothing, furniture and list goes on. The air was moving with open windows and fans. Also there are four large dressing rooms available that are spacious and clean. We had the opportunity to speak with one of the proprietors of the establishment Heather. Getting her feedback on the space, wanting to create a unique shopping experience for the community melted my heart. Loved they provided free popcorn and all the time not feeling rushed giving the opportunity to enjoy and possibly find a hidden gem. We walked away with some cooking items and stickers but there was a VERY close call on an antique display cabinet that we are still considering going back for. Great value for all of it. Highly recommend to stop in especially September 6th!
