I had their gelato twice while in PDC. Both times I got the menta e chocolate since that's my favorite flavor anyhow and it was pretty darn good. Amorino means "love" and they scoop their gelato into the shape of a rose petal. It's super cute but also means you don't get a ton of actual gelato in the cone. I found out later that it's actually a French gelato chain but it's a good gelato. Cost me about $5 for a single scoop with a chocolate dipped cone. Tasty and overall, worth it! read more

They make ice cream look like flowers. Order them in a cone and no matter how busy they are, they will painstakingly make flowers out of any order of ice cream. The internet is from Starbucks. Bathroom is clean. Air conditioning is strong. The interior is super clean. Yes it's a chain in many other countries, but this is the only one I saw in Mexico. We came here on Saturday night for a sweet treat after dinner. We wanted to try something new, and they seem to be a healthier dessert option compared to other competitors. The staff was friendly and sampled us. I ordered in Spanish, and I can tell that they appreciated the effort. They were out of the piccolo waffle cone -- the smallest sized option. The only waffle cone they had was the classic size one, which I decided to go for because I like to be able to eat everything. My partner did a piccolo cup. They also give you 2 scoops for the same price as 1 scoop, which is a bonus. I ended up doing a scoop of organic chocolate and mint chocolate chip. My partner did a scoop of mango and strawberry. It was a nice way to end our last full day of vacation in Playa del Carmen. You pay first then go and select what you want. They have three sizes, petite, classic and large. I got the classic cone with chocolate ice cream. We'd spent the morning swimming in the ocean and this was a nice treat after dinner while we walked along the beach.
