I never expected this to happen..... on Friday June 28th, 2025 my friends and I were grossed out by guys who I guess never have seen women a day in their life! This man harassed us the entire night, and made sure to go everywhere we went. While talking to our friend that was a regular about it she decided it was best to tell the bartenders, (who did nothing btw). They did nothing, they ignored the situation and kept serving the man drinks. The guy than kept on with harassing and locking in on me and my friends, we decided to leave because nothing was being done about it (keep in mind it's happening right in front of them), the man follows us outside, we get into our vehicle and leave. He follows us all the way to 27 where I had to pull into the police station. That's when he decided not to follow anymore. So I was able to make it back home and safe. No thanks to the bartenders and the facility. The point of this is, the bartenders knew what was going on! And instead of trying to help multiple women they focused more on getting a "good" tip from a creep and allowed him to stay at the bar. They are fully aware of the man because one of the girls told us he was weird. We've spoke to one of them days before about this and she said "if it happens again, let us know" welllllllll you see how that went. Ladies. I don't recommend!

So I am slightly confused. I already did a review for Port 27, I guess this is a new page. To be…read moreclear, Port 27 is a venue which has a brewery with its namesake Port 27. There in lies some of the confusion on my part because my last review I guess was for the brewery and not the venue, but I kinda reviewed it in its entirety. So here I go again. Port 27 is a lakeside destination with iconic views, good eats, a great brewery and eclectic shops. I have been here more times than I can count. It is quite convenient as it is less than a 5 minute drive from my house. And the bike ride isn't bad either on a Sunday when it's not too hot. So I have been here in the evening on the weekend with live music. They host events like runs, and there is even a comedy show. Port 27 is both kid friendly, and pet friendly. There are plenty of places to sit and there is a kind of kids area as well. Most of the major events are hosted on the outside stage. The shops: Antica Trattoria has some of the best pizza in Florida. It is popular and stays packed, yet they get the pizza out pretty quickly. There is a fair amount of seating inside. And, there are places throughout Port 27 to leave your pizza boxes when you are done. Van de Walle has great coffee and awesome desserts and the staff and service are on par with the coffee and desserts. They roast their own beans in house and make all of the desserts in house. You can purchase their coffee and theybwill grind it for you to your preference. Port 27 the brewery is a bit cloistered and on a busy evening or the weekends, the lines can be a little much. But the wait is well worth it because the beer is quite awesome. The servers are passionate about the beer and you can get samples, but when it is super busy you should just jump in to respect the patrons behind you. There are also burgers, tacos, ice cream, arts and crafts, candles and a shop that has vinyl records. Every time I go it is always a new adventure and somehow I never get bored. If you are in Polk County Florida and looking for something to occupy the whole family, Port 27 is a great option. But don't take my word, see it for yourself.

The bartender gave us some pointers and then gave us a minute to decide. A sample or two then decisions were made. The IPA was delicious and my wife got a cocktail that was gone pretty quickly. Use the QR codes to order food. They bring it to you from the various spots around the property. Nachos came first. Ask for two sets of silverware and extra napkins. You will need them. It was really good but really messy. I was hungry when we ordered. Should have waited. The nachos filled us. That bruschetta was taken home and devoured while watching a movie. Great friendly bartender. Nice quiet atmosphere with lots of conversations going on around us. We're coming back when the weather is better.

But for the most part it appeared that people took their drinks and enjoyed them elsewhere on the property. The bartenders were super friendly here, and we enjoyed a couple drinks while we were hanging out in the area looking at the lake. We were able to score a few bar seats and the ambiance is very cozy inside. The drink prices are super reasonable given where the location is. You can leave open a tab if you're planning on hanging out. Or of course you can always just order a drink and close out and be on the move quickly. You'll of course have to enjoy your drinks on property but there's plenty more to do in the area. Overall: A Solid bar experience located inside of Port 27, near the back and the lake. Will definitely head up again when we visit.

This was our first time eating at one on this side of town and it did not disappoint. I got the French Onion Soup and my husband got the Zinger Mountain melt (also for me to pick at). The food came out fast and hot! The French Onion is always one of my favorites, I love the chunky crouton and it always very cheesy. The Mountian melt was delicious! The fries were cooked perfectly and it was covered in the zingers but also a lot of bacon and cheese. We got Hot Garlic and I highly recommend it for someone looking for both flavor and some sting. When family stays with us, this will always be a must visit. Our servers today were amazing, we had a woman that I forget her name and Raul. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. We sat on the "patio" area. Since it is hot out they had it closed off but I loved the feel. It was very clean and even though the tables were full it didn't feel crowded like some feel.

The bar is to the right and the dining area is to the left. There is great service here. And the beer selection is okay with some local taps which is a plus. The food is on par with other Miller's, but they tend to under cook their chicken wings which I am finding is the same for most of the Miller's so I ask them to leave my wings in the oil for extra time.

There is street parking in the front and a parking lot in the back. Inside there is a full bar including lots of craft beer options, taps, pool tables, beer pong and a juke box. Tye service was great and as the night went on, our servers got more lively. Many of the patrons were drinking heavy, but for the most part pretty well behaved. For food, I ordered buffalo wings and a 26 Oz ribeye. The wings were great and I am from Buffalo so if they weren't I would definitely let you know. As far as the steak, it was perfectly cooked. I think they use a meat thermometer because there was a hole through the middle. Oh, I didn't mention they didn't have a 26 Oz, but the did have a 16 Oz. And they gave me like a $9 credit for the difference. The steak was good though, but it want a ribeye, either a hanger or Denver steak. It was so good in fact that I really didn't care. Other things to think about when dining here is everything is ala cart, like an upscale restaurant. Thank goodness the wings came with celery and blue cheese. The steak came by itself and there was even an upcharge for sauce. I didn't mind though because the steak was good by itself. Had a good time here and I will return, maybe for happy hour Monday through Friday from 4 - 7 pm or for Karaoke Saturday or Wednesday night.
