I had been facing electrical issues in my 3 year old house off and on ever since I moved in. Finally, an issue arose (just out of the blue one day) that caused a circuit breaker to constantly trip - seemingly for no reason especially because one day everything worked and then the next day, didn't. This issue effectively, keep me from having any working lights for 70% of my main living space. I had other electricians try to correct the issue but failed. After seeing good reviews here, I call AMP and spoke with Lee. He was great and tried to help me trouble shoot the issue over the phone, but ultimately, I needed someone to come out. James came out and was also awesome. As it turns out, my wiring was faulting from the day I moved in and just finally caught up to me. There were numerous neutral wires from different circuits being wired together. James rewired all of the switches correctly and found 3 instances of the faulty wiring and after fixing the wiring, discover an unrelated issue and fixed that too. Ultra Thorough! AMP Electric was very responsive and communicated effectively. They were able to fit my project in within a week, on a Saturday. The electrician was very nice and hard working. He showed up early and finished the job quickly to our satisfaction. One of our light fixtures that he installed was from IKEA. Something was wrong with the fixture. I have never found an electrician like Lee. I do not even know how to praise him enough. I live in California, and my daughter in Aurora, Co. We were desperate to have her meter which Xcel said had been burned out and needed an electrician before it could be turned on and we waited and waited with no help. My daughter wasn't even home. Lee drove to our condo. Checked the box. Said that everything looked in working order. Said that my daughter had to just turn on breakers in house. This after talking to three other electricians who either couldn't make it that day or one saying that it "sounded" like I may need a permit before he could help me. On and on. I am certain that people have run into bumps in the road looking for help. I can say with a happy heart that Lee truly was our savior. i will keep his info in not only my calendar but on my frig! 1st time i had called Amp needed a breaker for furnace . Was so stressed , Lee is so very nice on the ph . Very busy but doesnt rush. Sent Sam out so very very respectful ,yes sir and yes mam. We needed an outlet updated for a higher voltage laundry center. AMP Electric is basically the first that came up on a Yelp search and, since we'd been 3 weeks already without being able to do laundry, we decided to take a chance based on the good reviews rather than shop around. Zac arrived 30 minutes earlier than scheduled (which was a pleasant surprise). He gave me a price/time estimate after surveying my situation. The time ended being way off, mostly because our breaker switches are apparently prehistoric and he took it upon himself to drive all over town to find the parts for us rather than have to wait and special order them (also a pleasant surprise). This additional time wasn't added to our bill. Zac really went above and beyond, going so far as to hook up our washer hoses (not his job) and help me muscle the laundry center back into its tiny closet (not his job). Everything is working great and we're thrilled. Zac was courteous and professional, and Lee (the owner) is a stand-up guy, from what I can tell from our online communication. They made a mistake booking me and were very late for my appointment time, but then did not charge me anything for fixing my doorbell. I'm okay with companies making mistakes if they take steps to fix it like Amp did. Once they arrived they were very helpful and quick. They've earned a customer despite the setback. These guys are great! I live in a 1970 house that has aluminum wiring that was pig-tailed by a different company. This has resulted in issues in one particular room in the house. That first company has come in several times to try to fix it, but they gave up and offered to rewire the room for a lot of money (even though they committed to sticking with us through all problems for a year - hasn't been a year yet). So I called Lee at AMP and he was very nice, came when scheduled to do a bid and talked through options with me. He said he could just create a new circuit in our problem area and it would be half the cost of what the other company quoted me. So I scheduled to have this done, and Chris showed up right on time and got to work. He did a great job. Sam came to join him later and he was awesome. One additional perk, that put a HUGE smile on my face was that they were so nice to my dog. :) I know - not a requirement for electrical work, but for this dog mama, that goes a long way! read more

Just one example--AMP electric took the time to fix the wiring to our house's original doorbell, while another electrician simply told us to simply get a new wireless doorbell.
