I was hoping for a 5-star experience. Unfortunately that didn't happen. I dropped off a pair of boots which had The rubber heels coming loose. I asked if they could glue them back together and shine the boots. He asked for four days - no problem. I came back today and the boots heels were glued back on but the glue was seeping out the sides and now dried like paint dripping down a wall. Definitely not a five star treatment. He also forgot to shine the boots. He said can you wait a minute and he shined them for me. These were nice leather boots which all they needed was an leather oil shine. He put a brown shoeshine polish on them which now I have to have stripped and re-shined somewhere else. Definitely not a five-star experience. read more

Was looking for a show repair place nearby, so wandered over with no expectations. They share a space with a local travel agency. $15 for fixing a pair of stiletto heels; $25 for fixing heels that were a bit wider (and had some missing fabric on the heel that he was able to patch over). (At least, I think this was the price... some communication might have been lost in translation. This was one of the days that I wished my Spanish was better.) Tip: Though the sign on the door says they are open at 10am, I dropped by at around 11am and they were still closed. Came by about 45 mins later and they were open again. Might want to give them a call ahead of time to make sure he'll be there. read more

Excellent place! I brought in 2 pairs of work heals that get beat up a lot at the airport with all the escalators chewing the heals off. It cost me $12 to replace the bottoms of the heals for each pair. $24 to restore 2 pairs of shoes is way better than buying 2 new pairs. My shoes we're all scraped up and I was expecting to get them back that way but to my surprise my shoes had been polished as well! I don't know if tangs typical or he just felt bad for my poor shoes but they looked really good after I got them back. I was pleasantly surprised!
