I hate having to write this review but my experience here was deserving of it. I dropped off a pair of leather boots to get repaired in December. The owner said that he would need one month to complete the task. I was shocked at the lengthy estimate but was understanding as it was the holidays. He took my shoes and quoted me a date to pick up the end of Jan (more than one month from when I dropped it off). I texted one week after the estimated due date and he said he needed another week. I texted a few days later asking if he had even started on my shoe and he said no. I could have brought my shoes elsewhere to get repaired during the time it was just sitting in his shop. This review goes out to anyone looking for a repair shop that is prompt and dependable. If your repair is needed in a timely manner, you may want to consider a different shop. I trust only Souren with all of my designer shoes and purses. He is very honest and upfront with all of his policies and how he likes to work -- he takes his time to make sure your item is PERFECT. He will recommend bringing shoes in their off-season so that they will ready when you want to wear them; so bring your sandals in the winter, and your boots in the summer. I dropped off sneakers in the beginning of May, was promised that it will be done 5/12. Its been 2 and a half months since my dropoff. Yet there is no updates, or any useful information regarding the status of my shoe. I have been contacting Souren through message but hes not replying my chats. Buyers Beware. I dont know, there might be a long line, but please do take care of your customers and let them know any updates. This is just downright dissapointing, I expected a lot from Souren as he showed competence when I first showed him my shoes. He was able to identify all the issues. I came to Souren Master Shoe Repair multiple times for different repair needs and I've been happy with each repair. I'll be bringing my future shoe repairs here from now on! I first brought in a bag that needed extra holes punched into the strap. Souren was able to do the job on the spot and my bag now fits my petite frame perfectly. I came back and brought in a pair of Sam Edelman boots that I wanted to try to keep but noticed the heel on my boot was being worn out. Souren was able to fix the heel of my boot evening out both shoes to be the same heel height, as well as painted and polished the leather to the tops of each. Souren does great work, but be prepared for brutal honesty. I've had a couple of shoes rejected since it was fake leather, and he said the cost of doing some fixes would be at least 50% the cost of purchasing another shoe. I appreciated his honesty, but sometimes a girl falls in love with a pair of shoes (it can be really difficult to find the same style boot, especially!). Also, if he was able to offer doing a quick service on the boots it could add to the business? In any case, Souren has re-heeled and re-soled one of my favorite stilettos, and it turned out great! I would come back due to convenience (I can usually pop over after the Saturday Farmer's Market), but only bring real leather shoes going forward. Note, there have been a couple times they've been late opening, so it is worth it to call in advance if you're making a trip out here specifically to drop off or pick up your shoes. Parking in this area is always tough during the weekends and around dinner time on weeknights. read more
