I would give a zero if I could. I parked in the Bank of A building lot on 10/18. When I left, my automatic ticket would not work, so I had to call the attendant. He let me out when I showed him my ticket and validation, but said that it was "policy" that he had to write me a ticket and I could come tomorrow to talk to them about it. WTF? Why should I have to park AGAIN downtown to discuss a ticket that was wrong anyway? So I e-mailed AMPCO on the address given to me on the form, no response. I then wrote a letter and had it messengered (hand-delivered) to them. No response. I have now called, 13 days later, and got their voice mail. No response. Furious, to say the least. They had better make this "violation" go away, as they shouldn't have given it to me anyway!!! Poor, poor customer service. I will never park at an AMPCO lot again. You shouldn't either. read more

No. I didn't even park in this specific lot, but I'd like to share how much of a scam this company is. I had parked in a Union bank parking downtown Kirkland on a Sunday (for those of you who don't know Kirkland, you do not need to pay to park on Sundays-- YOU CAN'T EVEN PAY if you really wanted to because the pay stations don't let you pay on Sundays and Holidays). There was also a parking sign right in front of my car that read "Union Bank : Pay to Park 9am-9pm Mon-Sat All Other Times Pay in Advanced". I always park in this spot on Sundays because it's closer to where I work from the parking garage I park at every other day of the week. Got off work and there was a parking violation on my windshield for $70. That's more expensive than a regular parking ticket issued by the city. I am definitely not paying this. Someone should just sue this company. read more

This is a review of the lot on Main Ave. next to Sushi .com Avoid at all costs! We were 5 mins late getting back to our car and we received a $60 fine plus the $3.50 for the time we went over. The ticket was written 1 minute after our time expired so they were clearly waiting for the time to expire. This place used to be fine to park at because you would just pay when you leave for how much time you were there. But now they installed kiosks where you have to select the time you want and prepay. They clearly did this to make money on fines because they still have an attendant there the whole time. WHAT A SCAM! The fee does not fit the violation. Please don't support this establishment. I admit I was overtime and would have payed for the time I went over and a small fine but $63.50 is excessive. read more

What a Scam these people have going! We parked at their lot across from Riverfront park, and with the sun glaring on the ticket machine accidentally picked the wrong time we would be gone. We were just a tad over, and of course a $44.00 fine! I wrote and told them this was an honest mistake, and the fine was exorbitant. They were not the least bit sympathetic. We would have gladly paid a fair fine, but holy cow!! It made our afternoon overly expensive. I will never, and neither will anyone I know park in one of their lots again. read more

Currently, right now, on hold for more than 60 minutes, oh wait, they just hung up on me. Waiting to speak with a supervisor. I received a letter with a Delinquent Violation Notice. I was stunned, as I had not been parking in Downtown Spokane. And, even if, I have a Handicap Placard which allows for 4 hours of parking. As I looked at the ticket, I realized the license plate was for the car that our 17 y.o. son normally uses. Checking the date, I realized he was getting his Senior pictures taken. The ticket was for $52.00! He said he has been down there for less than 2 hours, he did use a parking lot, but never received a ticket. I called ABM seeking some leniency. I am willing to pay some, but since my son is learning about stuff like this, I was hoping for a break. The first lady said, "that is not how it works" and "you can appeal in writing" Keep in mind, I never knew I had a ticket. I receive the letter 2 days ago, 3 weeks after the date of the event. And, if I appeal in writing, it will be beyond the 30 days, which the letter says they will send to 3rd party collections. It must suck to work for a company that angers so many. read more

My husband and I went to Sushi.com for a quick bite and decided to park in this lot. To start off, there was no attendant, and the machine was not working. So, how do we pay you?!?! We had an appetizer and were out in less than 30 minutes. We immediately see the yellow envelope and roll our eyes...we knew that would happen. What really gets me though, is that they made it so hard to accept my payment then, and now!! There is no website to pay online...uuuggghh. Worst Parking Lot Ever!! As mentioned in a previous review, there is an attendant there lurking around looking for "violators". They didn't have the guts to actually come up and tell me I could not use my "All Day" parking ticket the same day! The lot only had about 20 cars in it when I re-parked. Why in the world can't the attendant just come up and say something to you instead of lurking around waiting to give you a ticket. I'm not paying it because they cannot collect like this. They have the right to tow your car, but not give you fines! Next time, just tow my car, You Big Cowards!!! I Dare You!!! read more

Terrible impression for downtown Spokane visitors. 15 minutes late = $27 dollar ticket. Parked in the lot across from Riverfront park to go to O'Doherty's. I will avoid downtown restaurants and activities in the future because of this. read more

Wish I could give these guys a negative star rating. Worst customer service. Actually, the customer service is non existent. We were expressly told by hotel management to park at their location. Upon parking for a full day of parking, we noticed that the expiration was printed for 11:59 that night (mind you we parked at 7pm). However, because the hotel told us they had agreements there, we assumed that it would be a non issue. Why else would they direct us to this lot. Well... come the next morning we see that we were issued a citation. Called the hotel management group and they apologized and offered other lots that might accommodate over night parking. We asked why they would tell us to park somewhere that doesn't offer over night and they said they were only recently made aware of the midnight cut off but that most people can plead their case with the lot management, especially in light of how much we paid (we over paid based on the hours we were allowed to park). We wrote the lot appeals group and were told too bad so sad. The signage is there. You should've paid again after midnight. WHO DOES THAT??? We could've just parked on the street for free! But again, we were told by the hotel that they had an agreement. So we asked again. What is the purpose of having an appeal review if all you are going to do is tell us the fine print. We asked to speak to someone live hoping they would understand, but nope!! Email is the only way to discuss anything with regards to citations. So... very long story short, if you are staying at the M in Spokane DO NOT PARK AT THE ABM LOT! YOU WILL BE CITED! Park on the street for free like we ended up doing the second day. These jackasses not only overcharged us for the five hours because the system didn't tell us that the parking would expire at midnight. It wasn't until it printed the receipt that we noticed it. But!! They told us while it was under appeal we would not be issued additional charges, but that again was a lie. Got another ticket in the mail with fees and fines. read more

Will take the bus downtown to get my haircut next time, rather that park here. I paid for two hours and my appointment ran 25 minutes over. When I returned to my car there was a violation notice saying I owed $23.00. I had already paid for $4 for 2 hours, so only owed $1 for the additional half hour. How in the world do they come up a $20 penalty? I will not pay it and plan to make a complaint to the downtown association that tries to encourage folks to shop downtown instead of at the malls. read more

This review is for the lot next to Rocky Rococo, Mizuna, Steelhead Grill, etc. AVOID parking with this company at all costs OR if you have to, make sure you are not one minute late. We went to Mizuna at 4:34 pm and paid for two hours. At 6:40 a ticket was written. 6 minutes late = $23 fine. This lot used to be attended but not anymore. We parked at the Ampco garage across the street from Cyrus O'leary's, we did not see the small sign saying they closed at 9pm. We returned a little after 9 to find our car was locked inside and no way to get to the car, and no way to get the car out of the garage. We took a cab home and returned the next morning to retreive our car, we ask the attendent why they locked our car in the garage, he said they were like a bank and could close anytime they wanted. I don't argue they can close anytime they want, I just do not believe they can legally confiscate my car. I talk to my lawyer and see what he thinks, in the meantime, I will never park at another Ampco lot or garage. read more

Avoid their parking lots at all cost. They have outrageous fines that make no sense. Better to park on the street or go to attended lot.

This should be a ZERO rating. Unless you drive a monster truck, beware! Our car bottomed out on the heaved up pavement. Ridiculously high prices - $10 'event fee' - with only 2 pay stands [why is there an attendant??] for a lot that resembles an Olympic moguls course. This place isn't even worth the one star... it should be lower. THIS PLACE WILL RIP YOU OFF! Where do I even begin to express the corruption. No attendance on site, the only time they come out is to write tickets when no one is around. We had paid to park, they and fined us anyways. I sent them THREE emails, Called the company THREE times, no help what so ever. Finally we decided to pay the ticket to avoid it going into collections (which they make you responsible for paying any extra fees incurred during this process). They also charge an extra $3.50 for "convince paying" online. Terrible company only out to make a buck. Avoid at ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!! read more
