River Park Square is a typical indoor mall. I remember this mall from my days growing up in the Spokane area in the 80's. It is multi-level mall with all of the typical stores that are found at any mall across America. It also boasts a 20-screen AMC movie theater and several restaurants and eateries. There is a traditional mall food court on the top level. It also has some stores unique to Spokane where you can buy knick-knacks and what-not made in Spokane and the surrounding area. We like that as we always like to take something local with us back to San Diego. The giant red stiletto heel at the entrance off of Spokane Falls Blvd. is a great photo op! Cool in the summer, warm in the winter. The climate inside changes with the climate outside. read more

As part of our Portland trip last year, we had to stop by this mall as my niece wanted to see the big red shoe. So after we had walked a bit outside, we took shelter from the drizzle and cold in this mall. It's multilevel, not entirely huge, compared to a lot of other malls I've been to, but it does have your standard food court and well also a cinema built in which is convenient. We did find the red shoe tucked down near the Williams Sonoma where I scored some free hot chocolate samples for the kiddos. Overall, not bad, not large, and a good place to just take a little walk around cause that's how we do. read more

Great selection of stores with a mix of local and national. Consistently overpriced, but you're paying more for the experience than the actual goods. They got a LEGO store and that's really the best part besides the local artists market in the basement. Service from the mall staff is consistently terrible, people always doing drugs in the bathroom, and there's only about six stalls for the whole mall, so you get to wait in line to pee next to someone dropping needles on the floor. It's really a good place to wander through before going elsewhere to shop. read more

River Park Square isn't the largest mall, but the location is key here. Located in downtown Spokane, River Park Square serves more as a gathering spot than for where to go on a shopping spree. Even though you wouldn't make an entire day of it, just shopping at River Park Square, it does have the best stores in Spokane. In my most recent visit my bestie and I came here and we learned how much it's changed for the better. The selection of stores is an upgrade than from when I used to shop here. I remember coming here mostly for Nordstrom and Abercrombie and one of those is now gone. The space of River Park Square has also expanded, offering more stores than what it was 10 years ago, including now Free People, Anthropologie, Nike, etc... I just like that the food court and cinemas is still on the upper level, being the place where many came on a Friday or Saturday night. Food court selection is meh, but the selection of restaurants here is good, like Twigs and Tomato Street. Plus, this mall is also across from Riverfront Park, a better place to go when visiting Spokane. Glad to have this shopping center in downtown Spokane. read more

This is a good solid anchor in the downtown core, and the connecting skybridges are great to access other businesses (like the library!). I am sad that Macy's left, but there is a great Nordstrom, several chain shops, a top notch AMC theater, and a surprisingly decent food court. True, there could be more stores, but it is constantly evolving and definitely on the up and up. I feel like RPS has gotten better in just the few years I've lived in Spokane, and I think that trend is going to continue. I really love that they have a huge seating area on the third floor, including a quieter area around behind the food court. This makes for a great place to have lunch and enjoy the natural lighting. My favorite part of the mall, though, is the huge open atrium in the front. It is especially beautiful at Christmas with the huge tree. read more

Nice four story mall with all the popular retail stores across from the Spokane falls, park, and science museum with lots to do in the area. Parking garage was pricey but nice to be available. The entrance of the mall was impressive with views that appear to go up eight stories. The escalators were an interesting ride. Movie theatre up top, lots of dining options too. read more

I absolutely love this part of downtown, and I don't even have to see the tallest tree (Christmas) to be happy to come here. In fact, during my most recent visit, the Easter Bunny was available! Nordstroms is here but so is Macy's, the Loft, White House, Black Market, just to name a few. PF Changs and Starbucks are across the street. But it's really more than that. It is the memories that this downtown holds for me (shopping with my grandmother and my mom at the Crescent and Bon Marche and working down here for a year many moons ago). I love the fact that most of the people that I encounter here are happy, even though they may have had to pay for parking. The skywalks, which have been here a long time, are great for the winters too. My first choice for shopping in Spokane is always River Park Square! read more

Ticks most of the boxes for a downtown mall. Selection of stores is about what you'd expect, upper-middle income stuff with a smattering of high-end luxury just to make you feel bad. Clothes and fashion predominate but there's a decent selection of restaurants and a really nice toy store. The food court is all right but some slap on an extra fee just to see if you're checking the receipt. Editorial: the giant high-heel red stiletto sculpture has got to go. 1.) It's gawdy as hell. 2.) The messages of empowerment posted next to the shoe cross into dark satire. Let's use #metoo as an opportunity to move past this crap eh? Parking in the ramp is fairly straight-forward and there are usually spots to be had. Paying however can be a headache when it's busy. They have exactly 2 self-pay kiosks in the whole mall and up to 4 people working the desks maximum. This is great most of the time and absolutely ridiculous occasionally. For example; after an xmas tree lighting ceremony last week we waited 20 minutes to pay. 20 minutes! To pay! For parking! How about a few more self-pay kiosks? Lobby is neat-o and there's lots of stuff to do in the area. read more

I love RPS. The mall has gone through a ton of updates in the past few years. The stores reflect both modern and local styles in all the best ways. Really it is a pretty quick trip. The top floors of the mall house the movie theater. The food court is just below that. The mall is always kept really clean and the entire environment makes it a fun place to be. The stores do tend to be on the pricey side...but that is the nature of the given brands represented. It is a great place to go and get some steps if the weather is less than ideal...and the Christmas tree is the best around if you are looking for a winter itinerary (or a free Christmas card background:) The location of the mall is really ideal to take in downtown Spokane and get some shopping in while you do it. The back of RPS is literally​ across the street from River Front Park and the front is a two block straight shot to the historic Davenport Hotel.​ Parking locally is street (meter) or the garage (max 10 per day). Some stores validate (not many and I​ think it is only 1 per store...but that is better than nothing). Shop. Walk around. Play in the park. The 10 will be worth it in no time. read more

Could have more stores. Always changing though so the updates are welcome. Your usual mall complete with food court and movie theater. Big chain stores and the occasional smaller regional ones. Excellent central location. The sky bridges are nice when weather isn't ideal to do outside activities. Up against river front park so you can see the big radio flyer and big shoe same day. They always do it big with a Christmas tree so that's always a seasonal must. The parking situation can be difficult depending on when you arrive to the mall. Best to go earlier and make a day of it. Sometimes you'll get lucky finding a spot though. Think any neighboring town will drive an hour to two hours and spend the weekend (Saturday) in Spokane thus the lack of parking. Always evolving so that's a plus but the parking options and prices to do so will always be ridiculous. read more

I work at this mall (unfortunately) and while it's pandering to those who have money, they have little to no regard for those who keep the mall afloat. If you are considering a job here, DONT! Parking is absurd and they are unable to help workers with affordable pricing, so with all due respect, find somewhere that sees your efforts and rewards/respects them! read more

Cool mall with lots of stores and restaurants. Some of the stores are accessible from the outside only which made navigating the mall a little odd. I liked the Whiz Kids store the most. Rating this mall on its own merits, and not comparing it to any other malls I know, this place would rank a solid 4 stars. Sure, the individual stores housed here are way smaller than those in larger malls in larger cosmopolitan areas, but c'mon people! This is Spokane! And this mall is a gem. Located smack dab right across the street from Riverfront Park, this mall straddles Spokane Falls Blvd. and Main Street, and is accessible from either street. There are skybridges connecting it to neighboring stores, like Macy's. You can hang out with friends and family in the awesome Riverfront Park and then come to this mall for lunch or dinner and/or a movie and/or some "retail therapy". There's a decent selection of stores, with Nordstrom's and Macy's acting as anchors. There's also a Sephora and Aveda, North Face, Gap, Made in Washington, and more. Because of the atrium-like architecture, there's a lot of natural light that filters in to the lobby, and the mall itself feels warm and welcoming and not at all overwhelming (as some larger malls do). There's a sushi restaurant and grill restaurant on the main floor, and a martini lounge on the 2nd or 3rd level, with a Rocky Mountain chocolate island in the entryway (DANGER!!!). There's also a lovely chocolate shop with flowers and gorgeous Papyrus cards on an upper level, as well as a food court. I can't speak for the parking garage here, but it sounds like most people aren't fans. This mall's location just cannot be beat! It is as centrally-located as you can get, here in Spokane. This would be the quintessential meeting spot for anyone in the city, for sure. All of downtown is a hop, skip and jump from here. read more

First of all, the mall is dope. Quick shout out to Lululemon for premium customer service. But the garage just might be the stupidest thing ever. Parking is tight and if someone parks dumb, everyone is screwed. The BIG reason I'm here to complain is the way you pay for parking. You gotta take your ticket into the mall and pay it instead of paying for it at the machine as you leave. If you're new like my friend and i, then you end up losing your ticket and paying a $10 fee for loosing the ticket. Also, don't get your hopes up because Nordstrom has zero Gucci flip flops. Didn't read other people's comment, but I wonder how can you give the downtown mall of Spokane Washington which houses soooo many different restaurant, clothing stores, & more with a bad rating? My rating is based on that. That it has many a variety of things to see and shop for. That gets 5 stars. Also it has its own parking garage. Most if not all shops that you go to can vouch or vale a discount off your parking fee, which is courteous. read more

This review Is for the parking garage. I saw the signs that said to pay before exiting but I forgot to do it as I had my hands full after shopping and I had children in tow. None of the signs specifically state that card payments cannot be made at the exit turnstiles (I have never been to a parking garage that did not allow me to use a card when exiting). The signing for "forgot payment" just sends cars back to more parking with no explanation of where the closest payment terminal is or providing a five minute zone to pull over and hurry inside before leaving. Once you do walk back to the elevator, there's no terminal. The signs that state where the terminal is, are vague and only inside the elevators. Then when you get to that level the terminals are down the hallway in the middle of the building, instead of at the logical exit for people who drove to the mall. Safe to say I will be Peking elsewhere nearby if I ever come back. read more

River Park Square is an upscale retail mall in the middle of downtown Spokane. The AMC theater is fantastic. Clothing stores are expensive here. Food court is below average and their are now 6 restaurants in the mall with many just across the street. Upscale apartments now connect directly into the Square. Christmas time is fun here with a giant Christmas tree located at the main entrance. On main street many storefronts are now filled that include Apple, Nike, and Urban Outfitters. Parking here is plentiful but can get pricey in the garage. Do not miss Rocket Bakery that is now at far end of the second floor or another entrance off Wall Street at street level. read more

Typical mall that I wasn't going to BUT you have no choice if you use the public parking garage. I was going to the library and had to park in the lot that is connected to the mall, across the street. The price of parking is $1.50 for every 30 minutes. Well, It took 20 minutes to find a spot and 20 minds to find a place to pay for parking. Out almost $3 because of a bad set up. You HAVE to go into the mall to pay for your parking. What a total joke. There are better ways to handle parking and every other city in the U.S. has figured it out. Is it fair to pick on River Park Square? It's a mall, so yeah it is. read more

Anchored by Macy's and the only Nordstroms in Spokane, for that matter, the only Nordstroms east of Seattle until you get to Chicago (if you don't count the Rack). Located in downtown Spokane across the street from River Front Park and central to many, many of the amenities available downtown. Not an overwhelming amount of retail stores but has some cool ones, Williams Sonoma, Apple Store, Pottery Barn, Banana Republic and quite a few other stores that can only be found here locally. Also houses the AMC 20 theatres with IMAX. The actual food court is average but connected and surrounding eateries make it a good destination to dine and shop. Paid parking garage that you can get up to $3 off through validation through selected retailers. read more

I'm not a mall shopper. It could be the fluorescent lights, the horrible architecture, the endless parking lots or that it seams like every mall in America has exactly the same stores with the same inventory. Blah! River Park Square located in downtown Spokane, however I like. It has a galleria-type feel and there are some original-to-Spokane shops such as Labor of Love Creations, Washington State based Bohem's Chocolates and Children's Corner Books. There are solid collection of chains stores, most of which I do like such as Banana, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Ann Taylor , Albercrombie, Black House White Market, and William & Sonoma to name drop a few. There's a Children's museum, Mosaic in in the basement and Twig's, a locally owned martini bar which serves unmall-like bistro style food on the top floor by AMC theaters that boasts 20 screens. There's also a Macy's (formally Bon) which has the most unbelievable sales. In fact, the sales are soooo good you worry about them staying in business. The store is a mess and merchandised poorly which I seem to care less about when I'm getting an amazing deal. But shopping there seams more like digging for cheap and deep deals, which there's nothing is wrong with, it's just not what you go to downtown for. The relocated Nordstrrom is the anchor. Though you can better for clothes these days, you can't beat the Nordstrom Shoe Department for selection, especially in Spokaloo. Downtown shopping has been revitalized and there are some wonderful locally owned boutiques within walking distance from River Park Square. My girlfriend and I came here to watch a movie we had an hour and half till the movie so we decided to walk around.. we didn't go into any store or anything but as soon as we walked in we were being fallowed two health and safety "we thought were mall cops) we had masks on.. there is no reason for them to watch us for an hour and a half! We went to the bathroom and the girl came in and yelled "health and safety get out now!!" Telling me to leave the bathroom.. then they both waited for us to come out then they fallowed us to the movie then we decided to leave in the middle of the movie because my girlfriend was tired the girl wasn't with him but he fallowed us till we left the building this was my first time here from South Dakota was not impressed read more

My favorite "mall" in Spokane, bar none. The mix of upscale stores and local shops make it a very unique place to shop for everyday things and special occasions. I love that they have a Godiva and in Nordstrom's they have a MAC counter (the greatest, most pigmented eyeshadow ever). My children love accompanying me to River Park because of Mobius (the children's museum) and Color Me Mine ( a pottery painting place). We were also there recently to visit Santa and although pricey he fit the bill unlike some of the other letchy Santa's in town. read more

As I'm writing this review I am standing in line 20 people deep to pay for their parking, which is ridiculous because this mall is in Spokane (i.e., it's not that cool). In most other developed areas there's a better system to pay for parking before leaving a mall, so Spokane needs to step up their game and modernize. read more

This is a great mall . Being a transplant from the Seattle area, this is the closest mall (close is a very loose term when you live about 45 minutes away!) that is worth going into. Don't waste your time at Northtown. They have a parking garage but more often than not we luck out with some street parking! I love this mall. It has Nordstrom's and Macy's which are two of my favorite stores. The parking is pricey but it is downtown and you can try to find parking on the streets. It also has a lot of smaller stores and AMC movies. The parking garage is in desperate need of a makeover/update. The winding, one-way passage vehicles must drive to exit is a bit of a nightmare for bigger vehicles. Decent retail variety, but confusing, multilevel setup. I've been to malls all over the country and this one is really quite confusing and somehow feels a bit disjointed. Also, renting a double stroller is time consuming...but free once you fill out the paperwork. Being your own stroller for a faster, smoother experience. read more

Review for parking garage: it straight up sucks. You only have the option to pay inside now, when they used to have a cashier on the way out of the garage. Huge inconvenience. You now have to wait in a huge line inside at the cashier. There needs to be a more efficient way of handling this. Also, their security guards are rude and unhelpful. read more

You would never think the mall in Spokane,WA was nice, but it is! The mall has everything you need. Norstroms, Macys, vickies, the gap, etc etc. Lots of good people watching too! Parking is 2.00 every half an hour or 8.00 for the day. read more
